I called my parents, informing them of my arrival and letting them know that everything is fine. I asked to schedule a lunch with them so we can talk, and I mentioned that Ricardo will be coming with me. My father seems a bit furious, but he has nothing to do with my life.

I understand that he wants to protect me, but if I don't try, I'll never know if it can work. Everyone wanted me to step out of my comfort zone and start living again, so that's what I'm doing. I'm embracing this love, and yes, I admit, I'm in love with Ricardo.
