Vivian trying to do a wife duty

Chapter 3: Vivian

Vivian went upstairs to the guest room where Charles ask to stay in, she could not sleep because she another woman in husband room, she was chattered and could not sleep all night while Charles and Ella are having fun on the night of her wedding.

It’s already the next day, Vivian is already dressed up and she walked out of the guest room, she met with Ella coming out of Charles room, they both stare at each other, Ella could not looked at her because she felt so ashamed of herself because she was with another woman’s husband, she was about to leave and Vivian stop her.

“ You would have put yourself in my shoes before you did what you did last night” she says and Ella stare at her.

“ I have no business with you, I only have business with Charles if you have a problem with me coming to your house then you should tell Charles about that” Ella says in anger.

“ I know that you do not have business with and I know that Charles was your boyfriend but not anymore because I am married to him. You were with him on our wedding night but why don’t you put yourself in my shoes, if another woman did that to you. I am sure you will not be happy about it” she says and Ella was already upset, Charles walked out of the room and he met Ella and Vivian together and he noticed that Ella is upset already.

“ Your wife is saying a lot to me and this all your fault if I had not come here last night then she would not have says all this to me” she says and trying to make Vivian the bad person and she left in anger, Charles tried to stop her but she did not answer, Charles and Vivian stare at each other and he yells at her.

“ How dare you speak to Ella that way?” He ask in anger as he yells at her.

“ I did not insult her, I just tell her the truth and you know truth hurt” she says and Charles yells at her again.

“ Just shut up and know this, you have to say in this house because this my house” he says in anger.

“ Remember that you are married to me now so I also have a says in this house. You can’t just bring random people in the house just as you want not even on our wedding night. It was supposed to we last night but you chose to be with Ella” she says in anger.

“ Don’t you ever call Ella random because she is my fiancé” he says in anger.

“ Then you should have tried to stop this wedding at all cost, why did you have get married to me just to hurt me? Maybe you should just give me divorce then I will be fine” she says and Charles yells at her.

“ Can you hear yourself? We got married yesterday and you are asking for a divorce. See how silly you are. You would have told my dad that you did not want this marriage but what did you do you accepted because you are a gold digger” he says in anger and he went after Ella, tears fell from eyes and she thought of going to Mrs Rose, she walked downstairs and she told the driver to get the car ready so he can take her to Mrs Rose place, she cried and can’t just control her emotions because she kept on remembering last night that Charles was with another woman. Some minutes later, the driver Informed her that the car is ready, Vivian followed him to the car and the driver opened the car and she entered the car, the driver drove off.

An hour later the driver drop at he MRs Rose’s house, Vivian got down from the car and she entered the house with tears filled her eyes, Mrs Rose saw her and he ran to meet her.

“ Vivian! What happened to you? Why are you crying?” Mrs Rose ask and she walked Vivian inside the house,Vivian seated ok the couch and Mrs went ti give her water, Vivian hold the glass of water in her hand and tears continue to fall from her eyes.

“ Do not tell me that you are still crying over your arranged marriage. The marriage is done and you and Charles are now husband and wife” Mrs Rose says and but Vivian can’t tell her what her eyes saw last night.

“ Charles does not want me and I don’t think this marriage is going to work” she says.

“ You can make it work if you want” Mrs Rose says.

“ How do you mean?” She ask.

“ Only you can make your husband love you”Mrs Rose says and Vivian looked at her.

“ You do need to argue with him always and make sure you serve his food on time and make sure to always be his wife” Mrs Rose says and Vivian thought following Mrs Rose advice since she’s already stoked in the marriage already and she can’t never think of getting divorce anytime soon, she has to make herself happy by doing all of what Charles wants maybe he will finally accept her as his wife.

It’s already in the 9pm in the night, Vivian prepared dinner for the both them, she served the food on the dining table and it’s 10pm and Charles is not yet back home, she gets worried that Charles is not why back home for work, she brought out her cellphone to call Charles and she heard a sound of a car coming in, she ran to peep from the window and she saw that it was Charles, she was happy, Charles walked out from his car and he entered inside the house and Vivian welcome him home, Charles did not reply, she wanted to help him with his briefcase and Charles stop her.

“ What is all this for? Why are you being so romantic? I knew it before that you ate just a gold digger and after my money” he says and Vivian did not reply.

“ You are my husband and I you need to treat me like your wife. I understand we both were forced into this marriage but at this point we have no choice than to accept our faith” she says and Charles yells at her.

“ I can’t never love you and get that into your head” he says.

“ Well, I have served your food, I was waiting for you so we can eat together” she says.

“ And why should trust your food? I am not hungry because I am already filled. I already had my dinner and Ella was the one who helped prepare my food” he says and Vivian was hurt, he left her and went upstairs, tears drop from Vivian’s eyes but still she does not want to give up.

Not give up” she says and she cried.
