8. Kill Her Now!

Caterina looked around. Just as Marco had said, there were guards in every corner of the room. Their faces looked so scary; their bodies were tall and bulky with clearly defined muscles. Caterina's every move never escaped their watchful eyes.

Caterina felt so depressed. She was uncomfortable with such close surveillance because she was already like a high-profile prisoner. She had no opening at all for escape planning. She remembered the way to the exit, but she could not roam freely. Moreover, Marco had warned her that his men could do anything.

The sharp-nosed woman sighed harshly. There was nothing she could do but sit in front of the television to pass the time. She had resigned herself to her life, because no one would look for her, let alone save her. Although his heart was shrouded in anxiety, she appeared calm from the outside.

“Are you still here?” Rossie returned out of nowhere. She was still as upset as before. The look in her eyes for Caterina showed how much she hated that woman's presence there.

“I don't have a way out.” Caterina replied casually.

“I really wanted to kill you. Marco should have just brought your corpse home.”

Caterina fell silent at that sentence. Their relationship was not that close when they were both working as doctors in the same hospital. However, she never knew that Rossie would hate her just because Gabriel liked her.

Who can control someone's feelings? She also didn't want Gabriel to sacrifice himself for her. She had also persuaded Gabriel to stop fighting Leonardo. However, the man was so stubborn that this was the case. They should just make up so that they could care for and heal Gabriel together.

“Hey you! Come here!” Rossie called out to one of the guards.

A man with a shaved head approached her.

“Drag this woman from here; I don't want to see her face. If you need to kill her now, whatever you want to do to her. If you want to have fun with her first, I don't care. I think she's still a virgin, so that would be more fun.” Rossie said with emphasis. She really wanted to eliminate Caterina right now.

Caterina, who heard that sentence, immediately paled, her heart beating very fast. Her body trembling, she couldn't imagine what would happen to her. Just seeing the man's face gave her goosebumps, let alone being fucked by the man.

“But, Madam, Master Luca gave orders for her to stay put. Master Luca has his own plans; I dare not disobey his orders. You yourself know how frightening he can be when he is angry.” The man refused.

“Rossie, we are friends. You shouldn't ask others to do such a heinous thing to me.” Caterina made a defense; she tried to influence Rossie's mind so that the woman would change her mind.

Caterina's life now had no purpose. She couldn't go back to La Vendetta because Leonardo was after her life; she couldn't see her father because he had sacrificed himself for her safety; she had almost lost her best friend. She is in a very bad position now, but she must live as her father said. Her father just wanted her to live a good and quiet life.

“I can do anything for you as long as you forgive me and set me free.” Caterina lowered herself to plead with Rossie.

Rossie gave her a disgusted look. A sardonic knot was drawn on her lips.

“I just want you to die. If you die, then Gabriel will no longer choose you. You're the only thing standing in the way of our love.”

“I can go as far away as possible so that I am no longer an obstacle. I never loved Gabriel; I loved him only as a friend. I lied saying that I liked him just to save myself from Leonardo.” Caterina tried to give an explanation.

However, no matter what explanation Caterina gave, Rossie didn't want to listen.

“You deliberately told that lie for the sake of yourself and at the expense of others. Do you realize that your mistake was fatal?” Rossie looked so furious. “I don't care if you sacrificed anyone's life, but I will never forgive you for Gabriel almost losing his life because of you.”

Caterina fell silent after hearing that.

Rossie turned to look at the guard with a sharp look. “What are you waiting for? Hurry up and drag her out of here! I don't want to see her in this house anymore.” Her tone was so sharp, as if her tongue was a sword.

The guard looked flustered. Apparently, with his fierce face and tall body, he was still afraid of Rossie, who was the younger sister of his boss.

“Rossie, please. Don't finish me; I promise I'll go as far away as possible. If necessary, I will disappear from this country.” Caterina pleaded again as her body was forcibly dragged away by the guards.

Rossie didn't want to hear; she quickly left after giving orders to her men.

Caterina could no longer be patient; it seemed that she now had to fight back if she didn't want to die. With all her might, she rebelled and released the man's grip on her arm. The man looked very surprised when he found out that Caterina's strength was quite strong for a woman.

“You'd better obey if you don't want me to finish you off here.” The man threatened.

“You think I'm afraid of you?” Caterina replied with a sharp look in her eyes. She set up her stance, clenched her fists, and prepared to fight with him.

“I thought you'd obey, but you'd rather rebel and go against my orders!”

Caterina turned to look at the source of the voice. Marco had just returned from taking care of something; he was visibly upset when he came back and found Caterina making a scene.
