“What did you think of them?” Jake asked when we were in the car heading back to his apartment.

We had spent the entire afternoon and evening at the Davies' house. We really had some interesting quality time, as if we were seeing old friends who were dear to us.

She lives very close to here; in fact, she has the entire penthouse of a luxurious building all to herself.” She smiles as she remembers how happy she was to receive that apartment when Bruce offered it to her years ago, when she decided to move to New York to follow her dream.
