~Morning came way too quickly~

My eyelids slowly fluttered open when I felt Karl's warm hand gently stroking my flushed cheeks.

"Good morning, beautiful. Time to wake up," he urged in a low, husky tone.

His large hand brushed the tousled strands of hair away from my face in a tender gesture.

Still lying directly on top of him, just as I had been the night before, I instinctively nestled even closer into the solid warmth of his bare chest and nuzzled against the stubbly hollow of his throat lovingly.

My body had other plans despite my brain's awareness that we needed to get up and get ready for work.

All I wanted was to slip back into the blissful escape of slumber, cocooned in Karl's strong embrace.

"Just five more minutes, pleeeease?" I half-whined and half-pleaded with him, peering up at him through my lashes with an exaggerated pout on my lips.

Karl let out a deep chuckle and playfully squeezed the tip of my upturned nose in response. "Five more minutes it is then, you
