Celestine's POV.

It's happening. What I was scared of happening if I told Lorenzo about the baby is unfolding right in front of my very eyes.

Lorenzo doesn't want me anymore. He's leaving me.

"So what if we don't get the trust fund? So what if he tells my mother about us?" I'm starting to get angry. Back at the beach house, Lorenzo was the one who kept bringing up the idea of us leaving everything behind and eloping. So, why is he saying this now? "You said you would choose me over the trust fund," I remind him of the words he said to me when I first came here.

He grabs his hair. "And I still would."

"So, what's the problem? Why do you want to end us?" Why should we end this if he doesn't care about the trust fund and I don't give a damn about my mother finding out?

"Because-" He pulls harder on his hair. "Because it's not enough. I'm not enough," he whispers.

How did we get here? How did we go from talking about my miscarriage to Lorenzo standing in front of me and telling me that
