"My Lord." Iapetus called out to Erebus when he put down the glass and prepared to leave, "There is one more thing you should know."
"Speak." Erebus stopped and turn to look at Iapetus.
"Themis, she found out that Kitty is registered under a couple that died a month ago, and their names are--" Iapetus started with a as cool as possible tone, and Erebus still got upset and cut him off.
"Are not the same as what she told us, I'm already aware." He frowned. He didn't like the fact that she was trying to prove Kitty evil, and it didn't help that this thing kept bring itself up.
It didn't seem like he would forgive Themis anytime soon.
"No, that's not what I was going to say." Iapetus said calmly, "I was trying to say, their names was on the list of the census of that village."
"What?!" Erebus returned to the table, "Meaning, her parents in registration were from that village?"
"Correct. Let's assume that Kitty is not lying, and I tend to think that she didn't," Iapetus quickly added, "then the most possible explanation here, is that someone registered her under fake parents deliberately without her knowing."
"Okay, let's assume that." Erebus rolled his eyes when Iapetus added the "believing Kitty" part, as if he would be mad at Iapetus if he didn't, "Why would someone go out on a limb to do that? And is it a coincidence that Kitty ended up where her registered parents were from when she didn't even know them?"
"It's hard to be sure of anything just yet, but hear this," Iapetus paused for a second, "The mom also had blue hairs."
Iapetus looked at Erebus, calm and cool as always, and it was Erebus himself nodded after being stared for a while: "Fine, I get it. You are saying that it's reasonable for Themis to suspect Kitty with all the coincidences combining together."
"I think Themis would have gone after Kitty no matter what because her feelings towards you," Iapetus bowed his head, "but I do believe she's loyal to you, as always."
"I'll let Kitty decide, but I won't intervene." Erebus gave Iapetus a murderous look, "I hate that you are always so damn calm and often right."
"Thanks, my Lord." Iapetus gave him a polite smile.
"I said often, not always!" Erebus said as he walked to the door.
"What now, my Lord?" Iapetus walked out from behind the table so he wouldn't have to yell and let everyone hear their plan.
"Now, I'm going to check up on Kitty and sleep." Erebus turned to look at Iapetus in a mischievous way.
"I know you don't plan on making a move before she is 18, my Lord." Iapetus stood by the door straight without much expression on his face.
"You are so boring, Iapetus. Metis would have pretended to be surprised at least!" Erebus shook his head.
"My Lord." Iapetus bowed as Erebus left, "there's one more thing."
"Can't you spill them all out at once?!" Erebus stopped in the hall way.
"It's because you kept leading the topic off trail." Iapetus replied with all but politeness.
"..." Erebus held his hands up in front of his chest, "So we ended up here, talking in the hall way."
"All room are empty for both the floor above and under us." Iapetus explained. It was Erebus's hotel now, Iapetus can arrange however he wanted, "No one would hear us."
"Open them for public, just do a thorough background check on the customers before you put them in." Erebus said.
"Yes, my Lord. May I ask why?" Iapetus took out a notebook and wrote down Erebus's order.
"Because empty rooms attract bugs more." Erebus shook his head, "You still lack practical experience, Iapetus."
"My apologies. It's my negligence." Iapetus lowered his head, "I'll open them tomorrow after a full search for wiretaps and others."
"It's okay. What's the one more thing?" Erebus waved his hand in the air.
"The date of the death of Kitty's registered parents," Iapetus said, "it is the same day the villagers saw the two stars falling."
"Interesting. Are you thinking what I'm thinking, Iapetus?" Erebus frowned as he lowered his head in thoughts.
"I think this just might involve witchcraft, my Lord." Iapetus said.
"That's what I was worried about." Erebus sighed, and looked up to Iapetus from his thoughts, "Do you know of a 'Signo the Imprimerer'?"
"No, not really. I'll look into it." Iapetus wrote the name down on his notebook too.
"No need to, you won't find anything. He doesn't exist to the world." Erebus shook his head.
"My Lord?" Iapetus looked up from his notebook, confused.
"He is a wizard specializes in spell imprinting, and I think that just might be what that two stars are. Go to Pallas and tell him I need the imprinter's help. He'll know." Erebus opened his hand, and there was his special mark. It was a small wolf fang, glowing in the dark as if consist by fog with silver light.
Erebus held out his hand to Iapetus, who took his hand as if a handshake, and the mark was imprinted on Iapetus's hand.
"My Lord, is your imprint...?" Iapetus asked, not sure if that was an appropriate question. Werewolves and witches were not exactly on the best term.
"Yes, our imprint spell is his creation." Erebus nodded, adding: "He's a good friend of mine."
"Yes, my Lord." Iapetus nodded and closed his hand. The fang disappeared in his palm, "And, one more thing."
Erebus looked at him with an amused expression: "Are you noticing that I'm not leaving at all?"
"This really is the last thing," Iapetus replied calmly, not getting Erebus's sarcasm, or it was that he just doesn't respond to that: "Would you like a room key for Kitty's room?"
"No, and I want her key to be unique. Get her room out of the system, forever." Erebus shook his head, "I'll get the room under a spell tomorrow. I want that room to be under maximum security."
"Not even you can enter, my Lord?" Iapetus asked.
"Not even. It's her home, and I want her to feel safe and respected." Erebus explained.
Kitty woke up on the floor, realizing that the floor was wool carpeted, and heated from wires within so it wasn't even uncomfortable to sleep there. She stretched lazily and head for the shower. It was a messy night yesterday, and she didn't want to get into her bed all messy without a shower.
She didn't like using a drier so she just wore a long T-shirt with her panty showing through as her hair moist on her shoulder.
It wasn't like anyone can get in her lobby anyways. Kitty thought, and that was when she open her room door to a big room almost filled by a huge silver wolf curled up like a cute furry ball, sleeping.
Erebus was woken by the time Kitty went into the shower. He lied his head on his arms and fell back to sleep. He didn't move or even open his eyes when Kitty opened her bedroom door, just curling there on the floor. It WAS a long night and he fell asleep late, but it was because that he wanted to know Kitty's reaction to his wolf form that he lied there, waiting.Kitty didn't try to wake him up, thinking he was exhausted and needed some rest. So she just stood there staring at him for a while.
"Curtis?!" Kitty gasped and the next second--"Ahh!!!" Kitty yelled and ran back into her bedroom."May I come in?" Curtis's voice came through the door with obvious laughter hiding with in."No, you may not!" Kitty yelled as she went around looking for her clothes."But the door is open, and there seems to be a delicious--" Curtis pr
"What are you talking about?" Curtis grinned at Erebus, not admitting anything."I'm talking about the werewolf prince who, at my best effort, hid his trace so well that I only found out he went to Paris, nothing more." Erebus said lazily, his blue eyes locked on Curtis, watching his reaction."That's further than anyone else could get already, don't beat yourself up." Curtis laughed which only irritate Erebus more.Erebus: "..."
"Iapetus, the maid appointed to Kitty's room, Sylvia? Get her to the office, now!" Erebus yelled to the phone as he headed to the elevator."Right away." Iapetus's calm voice came through the phone before Erebus hung it up."Good luck on a FUN interrogation day! I think I might just get myself a date!" Curtis yelled at Erebus as the door of the elevator closed slowly, and satisfied with the murderous look on Erebus's face.Curtis pulled his phone after the elevator w
"I'm sorry. My deepest apologies, I'm really sorry..." With an apologizing smile, Erebus stood in front of Kitty's room with his palms together, begging for her forgiveness."Hmph." Kitty stood there with her arms up in front of her chest, not answering."I got caught up with an emergency. I'm really sorry I kept you waiting." Erebus lowered his body to try to look Kitty in the eyes, "Pleaseee forgive me?""We said 'after breakfast'. I guess 6pm in the afternoon tech
"Hmm?" Erebus took the plate and returned to her side, "What's wrong?""Nothing. Where do you want to eat?" Kitty quickly wiped the confusion on her face and asked."Somewhere near the sea, hopefully. How about the rock over there?" Erebus looked around and hinted Kitty with his head."Cool." Kitty skipped a few steps to catch up with him.
It took them only half of the time when they went there to get back to the bar. Kitty thought she was nervous and a bit excited, but the stress was much more tightened as she felt Erebus hitting on the gas."Metis, talk to me." Erebus asked as then stepped in the bar."Some of Perses men got into the city right after you left for the village that day." Metis came to Erebus and started walking with his as she spoke, "From what we know now, they came FROM the village.""They took something from there?" Erebus rose an eyebrow."More like someone." Metis nodded."Emma!" Kitty gasped."We think so. And we think she's the only survivor, except Kitty, now it seems, which is why they had been hell bent on Killing Kitty." Metis said."Not really." Kitty said in deep thoughts."What do you mean?" Erebus asked."They could have killed me right where they found me, the first time AND the second. They were trying to kill me only because the order was to wipe out the city, I feel. I didn't feel like
"She is brilliant!!!" Iapetus exclaimed with applause, as if he just discovered some treasure."Iapetus, not now." Metis warned him with a low, calm voice.Kitty was not at all affected by his passion. She was now all sullen and sad in her memory. No, the people there wasn't particularly good to her. Yes, she lived a miserable life there. But it was still her home, they were still the people who helped her to survive by occasionally giving her a bread or so. And there was her family, to cute little sisters and a naughty but brave young brother. All of them, gone overnight, because a witch wasn't sur
