Michael turned. He was stunned to see his father.

Jay seemed slightly taken aback. “I’m surprised that you came.”

Michael looked away and ignored him.

Jay went over to Ivanka’s bed. He sighed when he saw her weak appearance. “She only broke a rib after falling from such a height. She’s truly lucky.”

“Lucky?” Michael’s eyes glinted in mockery.

Puzzled, Jay turned to him. “Why?”
