Chapter 68 (Part II)

I was outside sweeping when Liro came out. He has been here for two days, and as usual, his son still ignores him.

"Oh why?" I asked when I saw the happiness and sadness in his eyes.

He sat in the wooden chair next to our house.

"I'm happy, Cas." He said. "I'm happy to know that your daughter is fine with you. I'm happy to know that nothing bad happened to you." He continued. It was only five in the morning, so the people were still asleep. Only us and Sam were awake.

I sat next to him and looked at the sky where the light from the peeking sun could be seen.

"Back then, when we were together under the same roof, I did nothing but hurt you."

I remember those days. He was right. I really tried to open myself up to him. I was thinking because at that time, I might like him and we would be a happy family. But, well, he doesn't like me. I understand that part. He just maybe loves my sister that much.
