Chapter 3

Stacy woke up early and felt something holding her, she jerked a little before noticing a beautiful face in front of her, she was stunned, she started remembering the late nights events, how The old greasy man had tried to get her, she couldn’t remember how she became weak, then suddenly she remembered what happened between her and this man lying next to her and her face flushed red, “he called me beautiful, I kissed, I kissed him, oh my god!”, she squealed then immediately put her hands over her mouth,

“Why did he stop? wait what am I saying? Stacy get your head together”.

She said then gathered her clothes and left the hotel, unknown her she had left her

purse which contained important items.

Stacy got to hers and Gina’s apartment, thinking Gina wouldn’t be home she enters the house noisily, she is shocked when she sees Gina sitting in the small living room and watching TV, “G-Gi-Gin-Gina! Why are you home? don’t you have work today?” “I was given today off, my boss is quite good to me, and why aren’t you at work? it’s almost nine o’clock”.

“What!!!l she shouts then briskly walks to their room with Ginna trailing behind her. “Gina I’m going to lose another job today, God! What a mess I’m in now, what am I gonna do?” She says walking frantically and pulling on her hair.

“Ok look, as much as I am interested in knowing why you’re coming home by this time, and also how you lost your job, I can wait till you get back today, so put your shut together and go to work!” Gina says then leaves her alone in the room.

Stacy gets to work late as expected, she softly greets the staffs at the entrace, and just when she was about to sneak into her side of the office

“And where do you think you are going?”

I quickly put on a pitiful look on my face before turning to look at him.

“Good morning, sir” I greeted staring at him with begging eyes, hoping he’d just scold me and let it slide.

“Miss Stacy, do you mind telling me what exactly is good about this morning?”

“Sir um, your tie looks colorful!”

“Is that the answer to the question I asked you?”he asked angrily.

“I'm about to start the day's job sir”.

“Really? By this time of the day?”

“I’m really sorry I came in late today, it won’t happen again sir!” She said pleadingly. “Stacy again with that line, you say that every time you come in late, and you do it over and over again”.

“I’m really sorry this time sir, I promise to change, really!”

“I don't want to hear it, how many times have you promised to change and how many times have you kept to your promise?”

“Stacy from today henceforth you no longer work here, please leave.”

He said then walked away from her.

[THE HOTEL]

*Phone rings *

Brian wakes up to the continuous ringing of an unfamiliar sound, he sits up groggily and picks up his phone, then he realizes it wasn’t coming from his phone, he hears the sound again and turns to the other side of his bed where he sees a feminine looking purse on the side desk, wondering how it got there, he picks it up and brings out the ringing phone.

“Gosh no wonder it sounds so annoying, who still uses a phone like this one” he says to himself then puts the phone on silent then back on the side desk.

He goes to lay back down then his body shoots up again.

“Stacy”

“Mom”

“Girlfriend”

“Ryan!”

He said like he was calculating then rushes to get his phone again, he calls Ryan asking his to come to his room, then he goes to freshen up.

“Ryan did you gather every information about that girl?”

Brian asked sitting at the edge of the bed with Ryan standing four feets away, “knowing the kind of person you are and adding to fact that your mom has seen her and also informed everyone at the mansion including your father, I knew, you would need her information, I have it all here” he says then hands Brian a flash drive.

“Her data was so large you ran out of papers?” Brian asked with raised brows.

“It was a faster and easier way to gather the information neatly” he says retrieving and passing Brian’s laptop to him”.

“Thanks” Brain said.

[GINA&STACY’S APARTMENT]

Stacy enters her apartment and sees Gina sitting in the living room with snacks and drinks, “Gina, are you expecting someone?” She asks while taking off her shoes at the door, “Yes! you!” She says with a laugh.

“Really Gina?”

“Yes, Miss Stacy who has lost both of her jobs already, come take a sit” she said gesturing for her to go and sit down.

“How’d you know?” Stacy said while sitting down slowly.

“Stacy darling, why else would you be back so early hmm?” Gina says then Stacy lets out a long sigh “Gina what am I going to do? how will a find a new job fast? I need to take care of my mom” she says almost tearing up.

“Sis it’s our mom ok, and for now, I got us, I’ll take care of us till you get a new job, I promise my company pays me really well”.

“Thanks a lot Gina, I really don’t know what I’d do without you” she says then gets up to hug Gina.

“Yeah, yeah yeah, now that we’ve had that conversation.”

Gina says then softly pushes Stacy away and holds on to her shoulders. “Where were you last night?”

“Why’d you come back in the morning?”

“How’d you lose your job?”

“Gina!”

“What! why are you telling my name?”

“W-why are you asking me all that now?” She said while fidgeting with her fingers. “Stacy Lu Bennet why shouldn’t I asked you? And why are you blushing so much?” “Blushing!?, who’s blushing? I’m not blushing, Gina you’re now seeing things, I need to go to bed” Stacy said then immediately tried to get up, but Gina pulled her back down by her wrist.

“You’re going to bed by...” checks her phone for the time “11:23am Stacy, are you sick? Should I call a doctor?”

“Gina you are asking a touchy question? an-and I’m fine and...”

“And and and what, you keep stuttering, Stacy were you with a man last night? you can tell me I won’t scold you, plus you’re not even allowed to hide anything from me”. “Ok ok ok! Fine!”

“That’s a good girl” she said then reached out for a drink and passed it to Stacy then took a bag of chips for herself.

“Gina what do you need the Chips for?”

“I’m about to hear some spicy gist, what do you think I need it for, now speak”.

“So um I got to the bar and some old dude was hitting on me like really seriously and I turned him down but later on while I was working my boss came and said he was going to fire me because I angered an important guest, the guest turned out to be that old man, my boss then said if I went and had sex with the greasy fool, I wouldn’t get fired, well of course I decided to leave but before leaving i gulped down a cup of something that looked like water...”

“Stacy, looked like water, don’t tell me it’s what I’m thinking, don’t tell me you had a one-night stand with some gigolo?!” She yells getting up and her chips pouring to the ground.

“No no no! He wasn’t a gigolo, he was actually beautiful, from what I remember?” “So you did have a one night stand then” she said and sat down to pack up her chips again.

“We didn’t do it, he stopped and that is probably where I left my phone!!!, arggh! How did I not realize this sooner” Stacy said smacking her laps.

“You left your phone at his house?”

“No.. it was a hotel”

“So he stays in an hotel, which hotel?”

“I didn’t check the name, or anything I was just bent on leaving them, so I didn’t see it, even if I did, I don’t remember “

“Oh my goodness Stacy, ok then so this man, how did he end up taking you to the hotel?” Gina asked now eating her chips again.

“Well after I left the bar I started feeling dizzy, then I noticed the old man following me so I started walking faster, I wanted to run but I just couldn’t, then I bumped into someone, I didn’t see the persons face but it was probably the same man, I told him to help me, then everywhere went black”

“And then you work up in the hotel, and the scumbag who was supposed to help you nearly took advantage of you!?, I need to meet this man and give him a piece of my mind” Gina said angrily and roughly put the chips on the table.

“But Gina, he stopped”

“Stacy whatever! I will find this man, and I will beat him up!”

“Oh Gosh, ok I’m going to change my clothes now, please help me search for available jobs” She said as she walked to their room.

“My boss needs a secretary, you can try that out tomorrow!” Gina shouted from the living room.

“Why did you not say that since!” Stacy said rushing back into the living room.

“I’ll go put my stuffs in order for tomorrow then” she said and left again.

Next Morning...

Stacy woke up earlier than Gina to prepare for the Job interview, she had prepared breakfast and was about to take a bath when Gina called her attention, “Stacy...” she groaned in pain then Stacy rushed to her side “Gina are you ok? What’s wrong?”

She asked with deep worry, “Stacy...my tummy hurts...terribly it hurts”

“Wait I’ll get you a cup of water’ Stacy said then rushed out if the room and came back not long after with a cup of water and helped Gina drink it,

“H-h-how do you feel? Are you better?, I’ll get you pain reliever and antacids, don’t love OK” she says then rushes out again.

Stacy helps Gina take the medicines then she gets a bottle of water and a cup and places they close to Gina who had fallen asleep again.
