A week later Michael was discharged from the hospital, Vanessa urged him to go home with her but he refused, so she let him be but not that she doesn't call him every minute of the day.
When he got home that day, he was afraid that his mind will continue it's game on him but after staying the whole day, nothing happened. He didn't see crying Sasha nor did he see the other wicked side of him but at night, he discovered that he really miss her and somehow seeing her as a vision or illusion or hallucination made him not to miss her much and now not seeing her at all, his lonely heart long for her.Michael hugged his pillow to sleep that night out of thinking about her too much but no matter how much he did, she can't just magically appear beside him and he knows that but heaven, how he wish it was possible. The next day when Gary visited him in the morning as usual, he couldn't help but ask him "how have she been lately?"Without thinking, Gary already knew who he was askinMichael watched them from his car and what he wouldn't give to hear what they were discussing and it's not like he can't do it but he won't, stalking her is already more than enough, he shouldn't eavesdrop in her discussion, he can't stand so low.He saw them walking out after some time, Sasha was smiling on something the man said but he can't say what."So see you when?" Sasha asked Craig."Tomorrow. Dinner, at my place" he grinned.Sasha laughed "we just had dinner and you are already asking for another one tomorrow?""Well you wouldn't blame me, I just enjoy spending time with you. Whenever I'm with you, I feel like I'm in heaven."Sasha rolled her eyes dramatically "tell me about it.""I'm serious, it's the pure truth" he moved a step closer to her and tucked a luck of her hair behind her ear "you are a beautiful woman and I'm going to keep saying that till you believe me" he pauses to gaze into her eyes and at impulse he wanted to kiss her but remembering h
Michael threw his head back and laughed bitterly, he is really cursed, why is it that others will experience this thing called love except him? A lot of people he knew all had one strike on love and it worked for them but him? His heart had insisted on loving only one woman and when he finally got a chance to be with her, his heart went and hid and his brain took over, causing him to maltreat her and now she is gone, his heart got out of it's hiding place and is tormenting him, just what kind of a thing is this? Just why can't he be happy, why can't nature let him be happy?Haven't he be patient enough? He watched her date four guys and every time she is with them, his heart break but yet he persevered, he waited, he kept on loving her and he always rush to be with her whenever she broke up with them but before he can reveal himself, she had picked up another and he would turn and walk away heartbreakingly. Now, he is about to watch history repeat itself only that now she will be
Christmas day came and pass as well as new year with Michael spending it by staying at home or stalking Sasha. He had went with her to her parents home for Christmas, well, if he said he went with her, he meant by staying inside his car outside the house. He finds it difficult to approach her, not that he didn't want to but that he was afraid she might not want to see him and he don't think he can take seeing contempt in her eyes when she look at him.The new year started as always for him only that, it was extra cold to him. Michael had kept on undergoing rehabilitation for his legs and he was indeed improving, he can stand for ten seconds now and his doctor praised him for his hard work and also said that it was a nice improvement and he might start working in less than two months. Michael invested all his time in walking again, if he is going to fight for his love then he mustn't have any disadvantage and him not walking is already a big disadvantage on his side.He w
Michael walked lonely in the quiet street, it was night time and he refused to go home, Gary and Fish kept following him silently and he stopped and turned to look at them "leave me alone.""But young boss" Gary tried to protest and Michael glared at him."Leave me alone!" He shouted and ran away. Fish wanted to follow him but Gary stopped him with a shake of his head.Michael continued running, it seemed as if with the breeze brushing on his face, it was also brushing against his heart and he was afraid should he stop, all his pains will return in thousand folds, and so he kept running, running, trying to clear his mind from the scene he just witnessed. Around midnight, a heavy downpour started, he stood in the middle of the street and let the rain wash down on him as if cleansing him from his heartbreak. He found himself in a park, an abandoned park with litters laying every where, he walked to a bench and sat down, the rain still falling on him. The flowers have
"I can't believe you!" Sasha stood up from the sofa, glaring at her father "so I was just a business proposal to you? My marriage is just a link to wealth to you? All this while you have think of my happiness as business? Dad I'm also a businesswoman and I don't only think about business. I want a home, I want to be loved and I want my marriage to work not for some stupid contract and some stupid business profit!" She turned and stormed out of the house."Sasha, Sasha, sweetheart wait" Angelica ran after her.Sasha got to her car, opened it, got in and zoomed off with Angelica watching the fading lights before storming into the house to berate her husband.Sasha got home, she thought about strolling down to Craig's house and remembered he had left the country for his daughter's birthday "shit" she cursed, she had actually forgotten about the birthday. She ransacked her purse for her phone and directly called him, he picked at second ring "hey.""Look who decided to call"
"Janet, it has started again" Sasha said into her phone."What has?" Janet's voice was heard from the other side.Sasha could sense the confusion in her voice and she heaved a deep sigh "the flowers. It has started again.""What? The ninety nine white roses? The mysterious flowers?""Yes. Everything you just mentioned is a yes" Sasha paused "I received one last night and it's as beautiful as always" she caressed the petal of a white rose "what I wouldn't give to know the sender, it's as if he knows when my mood is down and always want to make me smile with his flowers and to be honest, it always does. Whenever I see the flowers I can't explain this warm feelings that always flush in me and when I read the notes, it holds the most beautiful words.""Em... Sasha are you sure you are not in love with the sender?" Janet asked worriedly.Sasha chuckled softly "I don't know but whenever I think about his flowers, I can't help but smile and be happy. So yes, I might have
Michael was wheeled into his training room by Gary, an older man with white hair looked up and smiled when he saw him "Mr. Brown, so nice of you to join us today" he stood up and walked closer to Michael."Thank you Doctor Cage, I love my last improvement that's why I came" Michael replied with a faint smile."I'm happy you enjoyed your previous stay with us. So, are you ready for today's lesson?" Dr. Cage asked and Michael only nodded "very well. I will take it from here Mr. Wick" he said to Gary before taking his spot in pushing Michael's wheelchair. They went into a room where there were a lot of other patients undergoing exercises, some trying to walk, some trying to stretch their arms and some trying to stand.Michael stared at everyone who was busy trying to finish their own tasks and with a doctor beside each of them before looking at his doctor who wheeled him to a locker for him to change into more comfortable wears. After changing, Dr. Cage wheeled him to hi
Sasha opened her door at the sound of the door bell, she was shocked when she saw all her friends standing at her doorstep "whoa, I wasn't expecting all of you.""What! Not expecting us?" Agatha looked at Janet "but you said...""I told you I will call them to know if they are free didn't I?" Janet cut her short and asked Sasha"Well you did say that but I wasn't expecting them to be free, today is Saturday after all, the day you all get to spend time with your families" Sasha smiled."indeed we do spend time with our families but that doesn't mean we can't forgo a day to spend time with our friend who is in need of our company" Marilyn said and the rest nodded in agreement before making their way into the house past Sasha who could do nothing but shut the door after them."So where is it? I can't wait to see....oh my God!" Agatha exclaimed when she saw the big bunch of flowers sitting on the dinning table looking so beautiful "why do I feel like this one is more beau
“I don’t get it, what would it take you to tell her how you feel?” Sapphire asked the man beside her, staring at the windscreen of his eighteenth birthday car at the young girl with dark brown hair and beautiful hazel eyes. A girl she had known all of her life and has known that her brother was crushing on big time but will never tell her.“I don’t know what you are talking about,” Christopher answered, tearing his gaze away from the girl even though it was so hard to do.Sapphire sighed, shaking her head softly, “this thing they say, like father like son, I think it’s true.”Christopher groaned tiredly, “please don’t start with your lectures about dad and mom relationship, please.”“I only use it because it the truth, I mean, look at you, you have been in love with Cindy for as long as I can remember, but tell her? Hell no,” she shook her head again.“I don’t love her.”“Yeah, keep lying to yourself,” she folded her arms on her chest, “it’s your birthday tomorrow, if you want, I can
“Happy Anniversary,” Michael whispered to Sasha in the ear and she turned to him, staring at the small box he was handing her.“What is this?” she asked with a smile, taking the box from him.“Open it, who else asks what was given to them for anniversary?” Michael rolled his eyes, then kissed her forehead.Sasha chuckled and opened the box, she was surprised to see a key and she looked up at him with a raised eyebrow, “I don’t understand.”“Let’s go,” he smiled and grabbed her hand, leading her out of the house.“Where to?” Sasha asked, getting into the car.“To see your anniversary present, duh,” he laughed softly, getting into the car. They drove for twenty minutes and seeing the neighborhood they were driving through, Sasha frowned. “Are we going over to your parents’ house?”Michael chuckled but said nothing. Another ten minutes drive, they pulled in front of a massive gate. Michael glanced at Sasha and she raised her eyebrow at him. He smiled and turned to the windscreen, in seco
“Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Christopher, happy birthday to you,” Everyone chanted as Sasha walked out pushing a cart with a big creamy cake with seven lit candles.Chris was all smiles and Sasha noted that she hadn’t seen him smile so much since they left home over two months ago. And deep inside, she knew the reason and she was happy that she and Michael were able to sort their differences before his birthday came and in a way, she was able to keep her promise of celebrating his birthday as a one big family without compromising anything, nothing could make her any happier.“Alright Chris, make a wish,” Vanessa said and Chris gingerly walked over to the table that holds his big cake, closing his eyes, he blew out the candles.“What did you wish for?” Sasha asked with a smile, ruffling his hair.“I didn’t make a wish,” Chris replied.Everyone frowned at that, “why is that?” Michael asked.“I sent an appreciation prayer,” Chris replied facing every
Two weeks gone by, Sasha knew she has no grievances against Michael anymore, if even asked, she just wants them to be a family again but for some reason, she didn’t want to bring it up and was prepared to wait for him to do so. Her phone’s ringtone disrupted her thinking and she picked it from her desk, seeing the caller, she smiled and answered the call.“Sasha, how are you?” her voice drifted out from the phone.“I’m okay, Sharon and you?” Sasha asked.“I’m good. Are you in your office?”“Yes, why?”“I’m close by; you think we can grab lunch together?”“Definitely.”“Okay, I will wait for you at the restaurant.”“I will be there in five,” she answered and hung up the call. She closed the file she was supposed to be working on but instead was thinking about Michael and the time they spent in Paris. She grabbed her handbag and was out of the office in no time, bumping into Agatha. “Sorry,” she grinned, “what’s up?”Agatha glared at her while rubbing her nose, “I know you want to meet
Michael entered the restaurant where he hoped to see Sasha according to her text message. He scanned the room and saw her sitting and sipping a glass of what appeared to be Robert Mondavi, he smiled and walked up to her. “Excuse me ma’am, can I join you?”She glanced up at him and smiled, “I’m sorry but I’m waiting for someone.”“Is that so, could it be your husband?”“No, just some douche-bag that wants to have lunch with me,” she grinned.Michael placed a hand on his chest, feigning hurt. “I’m sure if you give him time that you will discover that he is not a douche-bag.”“Oh really, you must be a Good Samaritan if you are speaking well of him without even knowing him,” she placed her hand under her chin and stared up at him, a smile playing on her lips.Michael couldn’t help but notice how angelic she looked in her casual white top and blue jeans, her platinum wavy hair was falling down her shoulders like waterfall and he was gripped by the urge to lean down and kiss her, but instea
Michael got ready for his meeting that was starting in the next hour, he quickly grabbed his files and left his room, hoping to catch a quick breakfast with Sasha before he left. He already made orders in the restaurant and he hoped it would be ready by the time they got there. He heaved a sigh and knocked on her door softly, but after waiting for some seconds and there was no answer, he had to knock again, louder this time. Few seconds later, the door was thrown open by a really sleepy Sasha. He chuckled and raised an eyebrow, “late night?”Sasha yawned in a really not lady like manner and she showed that she didn’t give a damn what he thought, “some of us found it hard sleeping even after turning in. I Face timed with the kids and mom can be you know, something else.”Michael smiled, “well, since clearly you still need sleep, I will leave you to it.”“You are living already?”“Not till the next hour.”“I guess I really slept in didn’t I?”“It doesn’t matter, I will let them know to
Time flew by with Sasha and Michael getting closer than they ever thought they would, Sasha couldn’t help but feel that agreeing to start from the very beginning with him was the best decision she had ever made. She drove over to the Brown’s Villa where Vanessa had asked her to meet her. Arriving to the Villa, her children ran out to meet her and she was surprised, they have been staying with her mother for the past week now because she refused to let them leave, so what were they doing there? She kissed both their cheeks and they went inside together where she saw her mom and Vanessa laughing really hard at something. “Wow, that’s a sight you don’t see every day,” she smiled, walking up to them.“Sasha dear,” Vanessa smiled, “you are here.”The kids left her hands to go continue with their play. She kissed her mother on the cheek, “hi mom,” and then she kissed Vanessa as well, “hi mom.”“Aren’t you a sight for sore eyes dear,” Angelica said.“Oh, why wouldn’t she be, when I don’t kno
Sasha opened the door to the man standing outside dressed in a black blazer and white polo underneath and blank pants. He looked so different from the always in suit businessman she has come to know and she couldn’t not notice how handsome he looked.Michael was struck by the beauty of the lady in white in front of him; the gown she was wearing was among the recent things he bought for her during the time he got something for the kids. Never in his life had he imagined that she would wear anything from there anytime soon. Her hair was up in a high ponytail with few tendrils dropping at her cheeks, she smiled at his perusal, slowly biting her lower lip. “Wow,” was all he could say.“Wow what?” Sasha asked, feeling all giddy inside. This wasn’t the first time Michael was taking her out to eat but it was the first time he was picking her up to go on a date. She had sent the kids and Hannah to her mother’s place because she has been complaining that they don’t spend time with her enough t
Sasha parked in front of Friendly Zero, the new club that Janet insisted that they must attend as she has always wanted to check it out but didn’t want to go alone. She pulled down the visor and checked herself one more time on the mirror and pushed it back up. Then grabbing her clutch and phone, she killed the engine and climbed out of the car.She was the first to arrive among her friends and she loved that, for once she would be the one complaining of them keeping her waiting. It wasn’t long, she saw Janet pulling in and she grinned at her. Janet laughed seeing that and immediately after parking, she got down and went to her. “What is the matter Sash, why are you here already?”“Do you know how long I have been waiting?” she pretended to be angry.Janet laughed, “good for you, at least for once, you will be the one waiting.”Sasha grinned and glanced at the club door where two bouncers were attending to the long queue, “are you really sure we can get in there?”“Of course, why can’
