Prologue
A beautiful woman stood in the balcony, her nightgown flattering softly in the silent breeze, the moonlight illuminating her face which by a single look, one could see the sadness written clearly on it. Her bright blonde hair cascading down her shoulders like a waterfall, few strands flying up with the blow of the breeze.
She looked down continuously at her phone which she held in her hand in a tight grip. A few sigh left her lips as she kept waiting, waiting for the call which always pull her further apart from her husband.
The phone in her hand started blaring suddenly and she quickly press the volume button to silence it, she looked back into her room through the thin white curtain to know if the noisy ringtone woke up her husband, but when there was no movement from the sleepy silhouette of the man, she let out a sigh of relief and answered the call, "what?" Her v
Michael parked in the garage, picked his briefcase and climbed down from the car, he sighed, staring up at the beautiful sunset before walking out of the garage. He climbed the four stairs before the front door in twos and input his key on the door to unlock it, pushing the door in, he walked inside, his eyes first settling on the dolphin fountain in between the double staircases which Sasha had insisted they put there when they were moving in.He frowned when he noticed something was different, Sasha always comes down to meet him whenever he is back but they seems to be no sign of her yet and he was sure he saw her car in the garage. Just then, he heard a slow music coming from the living room and he walked straight there, opening the door he was greeted by Nina Simone 'I put a spell on you' playing on the stereo before seeing Sasha standing in the center dressed in a black lace lingerie, her platinum blonde ha
"Mom and dad are going to be angry if they find out we sneaked out" Sasha moaned in between Michael's kisses."No they won't. I haven't stopped thinking about how you looked yesterday, do you have any idea how you looked?" He stopped his attack to gaze on her beautiful seductive face.Sasha smiled shyly and wrapped her hands on his neck, "of course, it was my aim to get you thinking.""And yet you made me sleep in the guest room" he pouted."You deserved it but after tonight, you didn't anymore" she placed a chaste kiss on his lips and he groaned."Damn Agatha's big mouth, we would have been home by now" he complained."You should pray she shouldn't be the one to notice our absence" she chuckled, her hands trailing down to his chest to unbutton his shirt.Michael's hand caressed the small of her back, softly squeezing her ass which made her moaned into his mouth, his lips left hers to trail kisses on her neck, softly biting and sucking on her skin.
Sasha pushed open the double glass doors of Big Daddy's diner, she walked in and searched the occupied tables for someone until she saw the sandy blonde hair and green eyes which she knows very well, he stood up and waved at her while she walked up to him, "after two years I finally see you again" she said smiling as he pushed back a chair for her."Oh don't mind me, after getting the contract into motion, I had a lot to do and I'm truly sorry I left without telling you" he replied before returning to settle on his own seat, "you look beautiful" he complimented, gazing at her beautiful glowing face, her platinum blonde hair sprawling on her flaunting fair shoulders which was being revealed from the off shoulder gown she was wearing, "your eyes are enchanting, I have always loved the colors" he looked deeply into her honey brown eyes.Sasha blushed softly on his compliments, she hadn't forgotten that he was the first man to compliment her after her first marriage, the scene
Days passed and Michael and Sasha's life went back to normal, or so it looks like, except for the fact that they started noticing that Gary loves spending them in their house especially when Jessica is around. They have seen him talking to her in the kitchen or in Chris's room when she will be playing with him.Sasha wanted to comment on it but Michael wouldn't let her, he had said to her that she should leave them be, as long as the feeling is reciprocated. He on the other hand will love to see Gary married, he deserves it. And what's more, Jessica is a good girl only that she is a little bit too young for someone on Gary's age, but what's he to say? As long as the love is there.Sasha looked up from the document she was working on, she relaxed on her chair to straight her back, her mind picked up a thought immediately and she let herself delve into it. It's been a long time she had heard from Craig, two weeks precisely and she was surprised. He had promised to call her t
"No, no, no" Sasha continued screaming, her fingers grabbing and pulling her hair hard, "it cannot be, no, no, Michael will kill me. Oh God no, this cannot be happening, no, not to me, not me" she whispered, her eyes scanning everywhere and nowhere before settling on the man looking at her like she has gone crazy, "how could you do this to me, how could you?"Craig smiled, "do what? I didn't do anything. Sasha we both wanted it, you wanted it. You started undressing yourself before I even touched you.""I was drunk!" She screamed."I was drunk too," he returned and Sasha said nothing and just stood up with the duvet hugging her."I can remember that last night I told you to drop me off at the club I always go with the girls and that I would call Michael to come pick me up, how did I end up with you?""I did go to the club but you were already asleep, I tried waking you up but you refused to get up, what was I supposed to do? I couldn't call Michael
"H...huh?" Sasha asked with a trembling voice which made Michael frowned deeper. He walked up to her in quick strides and wiped a strand of wet hair from her face."Why are you like this?" His fingers trailed to her chin as he lifted her face up, she closed her eyes immediately for she fears he would see her sin in them, "have you been crying? Why?""I...um" she gulped, "I...I...wasn't crying" she sniffed, "I just em" she gulped once more, licking her lips, "my hair got into my eyes while I was in the bathroom and I stayed too long in the water," she nodded, as if to agree with herself, but not without understanding that she had told another lie to him."Oh," Michael smiled, "how was your night?"Sasha's heart slumped when she heard the question, oh it's alright, only that I cheated on you with the one man you hate, "it was fine..fun" she forced a smile."Great. I called you, three times I think, before I turned in but you weren't answering, so I f
"Where is your ring?" Michael asked and Sasha stiffened. She looked down at her hand immediately, her eyes staring at her ring finger in horror, where is her ring? She never took off her ring, so where is it? As her thoughts ran wild, she could still feel Michael's gaze on her, "em...I...I think it should be in the kitchen. Yes, it should be there. I em...I took it off when I em...I was em...making a dough, yes. I took it off and placed it on the kitchen counter, I just forgot to take it back. I will get it tomorrow, I'm so tired to go downstairs now," she burrowed into his arms and prayed he shouldn't offer to go get it for her.Michael kissed her temple and cuddled her, "if things are getting too hard on you, we can get the housekeeper to live in, she would love it after all," he caressed her cheek as he drowned in her beauty.Sasha shook her head softly, "it's okay, I can manage. I don't do anything apart from cooking and Jessica also helps in taking care of
Time flew by with Sasha trying to erase her mistake from her mind as she tried to live like it never happened. Craig hadn't called again and she was more than glad. She had decided to forget all about him and concentrate on her marriage, hopefully, Craig will never call her at all.At the moment, she is in Michael's private jet, along with her friends and their families, they are on their way to Texas for the vacation that Janet arranged for them, she had been looking forward to the vacation for she hoped that it will bring her and Michael closer, and that is should in fact Craig should ever meet him, which she is not praying nor hoping for, that he won't believe him. She knew Michael wouldn't even now but she had to be cautious."I hope for your sake that this vacation will be as amazing as you painted it out to be," Patrick said to his wife and Janet rolled her eyes."Oh please, like you are not excited for it as well," she challenged, braiding her daughter's
“I don’t get it, what would it take you to tell her how you feel?” Sapphire asked the man beside her, staring at the windscreen of his eighteenth birthday car at the young girl with dark brown hair and beautiful hazel eyes. A girl she had known all of her life and has known that her brother was crushing on big time but will never tell her.“I don’t know what you are talking about,” Christopher answered, tearing his gaze away from the girl even though it was so hard to do.Sapphire sighed, shaking her head softly, “this thing they say, like father like son, I think it’s true.”Christopher groaned tiredly, “please don’t start with your lectures about dad and mom relationship, please.”“I only use it because it the truth, I mean, look at you, you have been in love with Cindy for as long as I can remember, but tell her? Hell no,” she shook her head again.“I don’t love her.”“Yeah, keep lying to yourself,” she folded her arms on her chest, “it’s your birthday tomorrow, if you want, I can
“Happy Anniversary,” Michael whispered to Sasha in the ear and she turned to him, staring at the small box he was handing her.“What is this?” she asked with a smile, taking the box from him.“Open it, who else asks what was given to them for anniversary?” Michael rolled his eyes, then kissed her forehead.Sasha chuckled and opened the box, she was surprised to see a key and she looked up at him with a raised eyebrow, “I don’t understand.”“Let’s go,” he smiled and grabbed her hand, leading her out of the house.“Where to?” Sasha asked, getting into the car.“To see your anniversary present, duh,” he laughed softly, getting into the car. They drove for twenty minutes and seeing the neighborhood they were driving through, Sasha frowned. “Are we going over to your parents’ house?”Michael chuckled but said nothing. Another ten minutes drive, they pulled in front of a massive gate. Michael glanced at Sasha and she raised her eyebrow at him. He smiled and turned to the windscreen, in seco
“Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Christopher, happy birthday to you,” Everyone chanted as Sasha walked out pushing a cart with a big creamy cake with seven lit candles.Chris was all smiles and Sasha noted that she hadn’t seen him smile so much since they left home over two months ago. And deep inside, she knew the reason and she was happy that she and Michael were able to sort their differences before his birthday came and in a way, she was able to keep her promise of celebrating his birthday as a one big family without compromising anything, nothing could make her any happier.“Alright Chris, make a wish,” Vanessa said and Chris gingerly walked over to the table that holds his big cake, closing his eyes, he blew out the candles.“What did you wish for?” Sasha asked with a smile, ruffling his hair.“I didn’t make a wish,” Chris replied.Everyone frowned at that, “why is that?” Michael asked.“I sent an appreciation prayer,” Chris replied facing every
Two weeks gone by, Sasha knew she has no grievances against Michael anymore, if even asked, she just wants them to be a family again but for some reason, she didn’t want to bring it up and was prepared to wait for him to do so. Her phone’s ringtone disrupted her thinking and she picked it from her desk, seeing the caller, she smiled and answered the call.“Sasha, how are you?” her voice drifted out from the phone.“I’m okay, Sharon and you?” Sasha asked.“I’m good. Are you in your office?”“Yes, why?”“I’m close by; you think we can grab lunch together?”“Definitely.”“Okay, I will wait for you at the restaurant.”“I will be there in five,” she answered and hung up the call. She closed the file she was supposed to be working on but instead was thinking about Michael and the time they spent in Paris. She grabbed her handbag and was out of the office in no time, bumping into Agatha. “Sorry,” she grinned, “what’s up?”Agatha glared at her while rubbing her nose, “I know you want to meet
Michael entered the restaurant where he hoped to see Sasha according to her text message. He scanned the room and saw her sitting and sipping a glass of what appeared to be Robert Mondavi, he smiled and walked up to her. “Excuse me ma’am, can I join you?”She glanced up at him and smiled, “I’m sorry but I’m waiting for someone.”“Is that so, could it be your husband?”“No, just some douche-bag that wants to have lunch with me,” she grinned.Michael placed a hand on his chest, feigning hurt. “I’m sure if you give him time that you will discover that he is not a douche-bag.”“Oh really, you must be a Good Samaritan if you are speaking well of him without even knowing him,” she placed her hand under her chin and stared up at him, a smile playing on her lips.Michael couldn’t help but notice how angelic she looked in her casual white top and blue jeans, her platinum wavy hair was falling down her shoulders like waterfall and he was gripped by the urge to lean down and kiss her, but instea
Michael got ready for his meeting that was starting in the next hour, he quickly grabbed his files and left his room, hoping to catch a quick breakfast with Sasha before he left. He already made orders in the restaurant and he hoped it would be ready by the time they got there. He heaved a sigh and knocked on her door softly, but after waiting for some seconds and there was no answer, he had to knock again, louder this time. Few seconds later, the door was thrown open by a really sleepy Sasha. He chuckled and raised an eyebrow, “late night?”Sasha yawned in a really not lady like manner and she showed that she didn’t give a damn what he thought, “some of us found it hard sleeping even after turning in. I Face timed with the kids and mom can be you know, something else.”Michael smiled, “well, since clearly you still need sleep, I will leave you to it.”“You are living already?”“Not till the next hour.”“I guess I really slept in didn’t I?”“It doesn’t matter, I will let them know to
Time flew by with Sasha and Michael getting closer than they ever thought they would, Sasha couldn’t help but feel that agreeing to start from the very beginning with him was the best decision she had ever made. She drove over to the Brown’s Villa where Vanessa had asked her to meet her. Arriving to the Villa, her children ran out to meet her and she was surprised, they have been staying with her mother for the past week now because she refused to let them leave, so what were they doing there? She kissed both their cheeks and they went inside together where she saw her mom and Vanessa laughing really hard at something. “Wow, that’s a sight you don’t see every day,” she smiled, walking up to them.“Sasha dear,” Vanessa smiled, “you are here.”The kids left her hands to go continue with their play. She kissed her mother on the cheek, “hi mom,” and then she kissed Vanessa as well, “hi mom.”“Aren’t you a sight for sore eyes dear,” Angelica said.“Oh, why wouldn’t she be, when I don’t kno
Sasha opened the door to the man standing outside dressed in a black blazer and white polo underneath and blank pants. He looked so different from the always in suit businessman she has come to know and she couldn’t not notice how handsome he looked.Michael was struck by the beauty of the lady in white in front of him; the gown she was wearing was among the recent things he bought for her during the time he got something for the kids. Never in his life had he imagined that she would wear anything from there anytime soon. Her hair was up in a high ponytail with few tendrils dropping at her cheeks, she smiled at his perusal, slowly biting her lower lip. “Wow,” was all he could say.“Wow what?” Sasha asked, feeling all giddy inside. This wasn’t the first time Michael was taking her out to eat but it was the first time he was picking her up to go on a date. She had sent the kids and Hannah to her mother’s place because she has been complaining that they don’t spend time with her enough t
Sasha parked in front of Friendly Zero, the new club that Janet insisted that they must attend as she has always wanted to check it out but didn’t want to go alone. She pulled down the visor and checked herself one more time on the mirror and pushed it back up. Then grabbing her clutch and phone, she killed the engine and climbed out of the car.She was the first to arrive among her friends and she loved that, for once she would be the one complaining of them keeping her waiting. It wasn’t long, she saw Janet pulling in and she grinned at her. Janet laughed seeing that and immediately after parking, she got down and went to her. “What is the matter Sash, why are you here already?”“Do you know how long I have been waiting?” she pretended to be angry.Janet laughed, “good for you, at least for once, you will be the one waiting.”Sasha grinned and glanced at the club door where two bouncers were attending to the long queue, “are you really sure we can get in there?”“Of course, why can’
