Chapter Twenty-Five

Sasha left Mr. Victor's office with a sense of purpose she hadn't felt in a long time. The plan wasn't perfect, but it was something—a tangible path forward. As she stepped out into the bright sunlight, the weight pressing down on her for so long began to lift. The world didn't seem so overwhelming anymore. She had a direction, a goal, and, most importantly, hope.

She would keep up the charade with Hue, at least for a bit longer, but her heart wasn't in it anymore. Her thoughts were consumed by Ethan—the man who had become so much more than just a lover in such a short time. He was dangerous and complicated, but he made her feel alive like no one else ever had.

As Sasha walked towards her car, she couldn't help but smile at the thought of seeing Ethan again. He was a part of her life now—a part she wasn't willing to let go of. She imagined what it would be like once she was free of the constraints her mother's will had placed on her. No more pretending with Hue, no more worrying about
