Chapter 172 Paid Services

Nancy got into Yaacob's car, fastened her seat belt, and kept looking sideways at the man beside her.

Yaacob's face was still as black as thunder. The two of them did not speak as he drove her to the hospital.

Once there, Rowena recommended stitches for the gash on Nancy's wrist, but she was afraid doing that would leave an ugly scar. In the end, she opted for bandaging it only.

"Fortunately, the wound isn't really that deep. It shouldn't leave any scar as long as you don't let the wound come in contact with any water," said Rowena while she was bandaging Nancy's wrist.

However, Nancy only nodded absent-mindedly because all of her attention was outside the ward, where Yaacob was.

Nancy remembered he stayed by her side the whole time she came to the hospital to treat an injury last time. This time, he did not even come in when she was screaming loudly from the pain of having disinfectant applied to her wound.

Nancy thanked Rowena as soon as her wrist was all wrapped up and walked
