I walked alone in the lobby and I saw the Circle of 8 before me.
I felt the weight of their stares as I was about to pass them. They were a group of bullies whom I had a history with before they were paid off by Anthony to protect me, but since he had traveled, they seemed to revel in taunting me.
As I walked past them, I could hear their snide remarks and hurtful comments.
"Look at her, all alone. Where's your Superman now, Catherina?" one of them jeered, causing the others to laugh cruelly.
"Yeah, he used you and dumped you. You were just a plaything to him," another added, with a smirk on his face.
Tears welled up in my eyes as I tried to ignore their words, but they cut deep into my heart. How could they be so cruel? I had thought I was safe with Anthony by my side, but now it seemed like I was just a joke to everyone since he was gone.
He had been gone for a day and now all this drama had ensued. How long will this last? How long before he calls and helps me deal with them?
"Pathetic," another voice spat out, causing me to quicken my pace as I walked past them. I could feel their eyes boring into my back, their laughter echoing in the lobby.
I finally got out of the lobby and I walked towards the garage. The garage led to the schoolyard from which I'd leave the school space, and that was the refuge my heart offered.
How could they say such things? Did they really think I deserved to be treated this way? I wondered.
As I lay there, my mind raced with thoughts of Anthony and how he had swept into my life like a whirlwind, promising me the world. But now it seemed like it had all been a lie, a cruel joke at my expense.
Why hadn't he called? What was holding him back?
I wiped away my tears, trying to push away the hurt and anger that threatened to consume me. I couldn't let them see me broken like this. I had to be strong, for myself if not for anyone else.
I took a deep breath and straightened my head, determined to not let their words define me. I knew I wasn't jilted by Anthony, and I couldn't bring myself down to think that I had been jilted by Anthony.
Again, as I walked towards the school gate, Sasha approached me. She was also Anthony's crush, and she had been neglected by him since he started dating me.
I tried to avoid her, but she blocked my way three times. I tried to go another way, but she pulled the helm of my clothes. "Halt. Do you know who you are? Let me remind you. You are just a girl on community budget, raised to standard by Anthony, and now he is gone. What else can you do?" she taunted me.
I looked up at her, but I couldn't find any words to say. I just wanted to walk past her again, but Sasha pushed me to the floor.
I felt the sting of humiliation as I hit the ground, my heart racing with anger and frustration. Sasha towered over me, a sneer on her face as she looked down at me.
I could see the triumph in her eyes, relishing in her power over me. I tried to push myself up, but she shoved me back down.
"You think you're so special, don't you?" she said, her voice dripping with malice. "But you're just a cheap imitation of what Anthony really wants. You'll never be able to fill the void he left behind."
I gritted my teeth, fighting back the tears that threatened to spill over. I refused to let Sasha see how much her words hurt me.
I felt a surge of anger rising within me, a fire burning in my chest. I wouldn't let her break me down. I wouldn't give her the satisfaction.
Without a word, I pushed myself up from the ground, my hands trembling with rage. I met Sasha's gaze, holding it steady despite the fear and uncertainty that churned within me. I refused to back down, to let her intimidate me any longer.
I opened my mouth and she squinted, waiting for what I was about to project but it was another utter silence and a look away to avoid her gaze.
With that, I turned on my heel and intended to walk away, leaving Sasha standing there in stunned silence.
“How dare you turn your back on me?” she sneered, pulled, and pushed me to the floor.
As I looked at her going her way, I sat on the floor when my phone rang. Startled, I scrambled to pick it up and saw an unknown number flashing on the screen. "Hello," I said, my heart racing with expectations.
“Hello, baby,” he said.
"Anthony?" I called out, unable to contain my excitement.
"Yes, it's me," he replied.
I could feel a smile spreading across my face.
"Sorry for taking too long to call you. How are you doing?"
"I have missed you," I blurted out before I could stop myself.
There was a pause on the other end of the line before Anthony responded, "I know, I miss you too."
I took a deep breath, realizing how much I had longed to hear his voice. "I am being bullied," I confessed. "By the Circle of 8 and by Sasha."
Instantly, Anthony's tone turned serious. "I will take care of them.”
I knew he would. I knew all it required was to put a call through and he's promised to do so. How he'd do it, I don't know.
“I know you will, Anthony. I know you will. How is it over there?”
“It's been cool…”
He hadn't completed his statement before he ended the call abruptly. What was happening? I wonder.
I stood there, stunned by his words. Part of me was relieved that I heard his voice and that he was doing fine, another was that he was going to help me with the bullies as well as with Sasha, but another part of me was worried about why he ended the call.
I wanted to call him back, to ask him how he was, to tell him more about what had been happening to me.
But deep down, I knew he had his own battles to fight. And as much as I wished he could be here with me, I also knew that he needed to focus on himself.
I stood up slowly, feeling a mix of emotions swirling inside me. I missed Anthony more than words could express, but I also knew that our paths were not always meant to be crossed. Our love was fierce and passionate, but it would also be complicated and tumultuous.
One question was on my mind… “Why would he end the call that way.”
Anthony's heart raced as he hurried over to where Natasha lay on the floor. He could see the pain in her eyes as he reached out a hand to help her up. As he knelt down beside her, he could hear her whimpering softly. "Are you okay, Natasha?" Anthony asked, his voice filled with concern. Natasha looked up at him with tear-filled eyes and whispered, "I'm sorry, Anthony. I was rushing to the kitchen to prepare your meal and I tripped." Anthony’s heart sank as he realized that she had been trying to do something nice for him, only to end up hurt. He reached out to her, gently helping her to her feet. "It's okay, Natasha. Let me help you," Anthony said softly, as he slowly guided her towards the bedroom. Close to the bedroom, down she went and sat on the floor. “My ankle,” she screamed and held her ankle in her hand.“Are you okay?” Anthony asked with a worried look.“Carry me, Anthony!” she asked. As she requested, he hoisted her up in the air, and she wrapped her hands around his ne
Natasha carefully cut out the page from Anthony’s diary where he had written down Catherina's phone number. She knew that Antony had been talking to Catherina a lot lately, and she didn't want her boyfriend to have any contact with another girl. The next day, Antony and Natasha walked through the school halls together. Antony looked nervous as it was his first day at a new school. Natasha smiled reassuringly at him and said, "Don't worry, I'll show you around and introduce you to everyone."As they walked, Natasha pointed out the different classrooms and explained where everything was. Antony was grateful for her guidance and felt more at ease. Suddenly, she spotted a beautiful mural on the wall and said, "Wow, that's amazing! I want to take a picture of it."Anthony nodded and handed her his phone. Natasha quickly snapped a few photos and then turned off the phone and kept the phone in the secret part of her bag. “Where is the phone?” Anthony asked. "Oh no," she exclaimed, "the pho
Natasha carefully dug into Anthony's bag, feeling a rush of excitement as she found his phone tucked away inside. She quickly turned it on and browsed through his contacts, her heart skipping a beat when she came across the name saved as "MINE." With a sly smile on her face, Natasha dialed the number and waited anxiously for someone to pick up. After a few rings, a sweet voice answered on the other end, "Baby?”“Who the hell is your baby?" Natasha's eyes narrowed as she replied confidently, "Anthony is mine, and there is nothing you can do about it."Confusion laced Catherina's voice as she questioned, "Who are you?""I am Natasha," she declared, her tone dripping with possessiveness. "And soon, I and Anthony will be getting married. You are nothing compared to me, and he will never call you again."Catherina chuckled softly, disbelief evident in her voice. "Oh, honey, you have no idea who you're dealing with. Anthony and I have a history that you could never understand."Natasha's g
As they sat in the eatery, surrounded by the comforting embrace of Russian cuisine and the gentle melody of music, Anthony realized that perhaps, amid his heartache, he had found a glimmer of light in the form of a kind and compassionate soul named Natasha.“Thank you for today, Natasha,” Anthony said just as the waiter came over to pack their dishes. “What for?” Natasha asked, smiling, feigning ignorance.“For the company, for the advice and most of all, for being here. I don't think I'll be able to move past Catherina's betrayal without you” he said. “It’s nothing, Anthony. Women these days tend to move on when they feel like they can’t fulfill their wants, you also don't have to blame her. She did what she thought was right.” Natasha said. Anthony remained silent, watching the woman in front of with intensity. There was something about her that didn't feel right, there was also something about her that felt right. Everything felt confusing and he had no idea what to do or believ
He had no idea what pushed him to run out, but he succumbed to it, which was really stupid.. As he walked down the streets, memories of Catherina filled his head. Her betrayal got to him and he won't move on anytime soon. “Hey, man. Watch it…” Anthony looked up, he had bumped into someone unintentionally. “I’m so sorry.” He apologized, stepping to the side so the guy could pass. “Hold up, I know you. Anthony!!” The guy beamed in joy, shaking Anthony by the hand. Anthony was still disoriented, so it took a moment for him to recognize who it was. “Oh my goodness, Leo!” Anthony said, finally recognizing who it was, an old classmate of his. “I’m hurt you didn't recognize me at first glance, what were you thinking about, man!” Leo said, engaging Anthony in a bone crushing hug. “I’m sorry, man. Just got a lot on my mind this days.” Anthony replied as they disengaged. “The rich also cry, huh” Leo stated, staring at his friend. “That’s it, man. What are you doing here? I thought yo
“One advice, don’t believe anything they tell you, especially if it's about Catherina”Anthony sighed “fine, it won’t be easy though. I’ve been apart from her for a long. I got her a phone before I left, okay fine no cell service; my mail works. It’s hard, Leo and i’m so confused right now. What if it’s not as it seems and my mom is actually not trying to separate both of us?” he paused, then continued “I don't want to offend my mom and later on she wasn't even the bad guy. It’s crazy to be me, really” he muttered, palming his forehead. “Well um… just do what you think is right. Because at this rate, it’s confusing and to know who is actually telling the truth and who is lying won't be easy, you have to go back to London and my guess is, it’s not time yet.” Leo said. “Yea.” Anthony nodded. “Sorry, talking about me took most of our time. He sighed out, turning on the phone and the first place he went to was his call logs. His eyes went wide when he saw the last person that called himCatherina called. She's never called, why would she call today of all days and why would Natasha answer it and then proceed to hide my phone away.Anthony sent his hand to his hair, baffled by the occurrence happening around him.Why would Natasha hide his phone and made him think he lost it.Anthony stared at the call logs again, the urge to hear Catherina's voice so strong it was so hard to resist.Getting on his feet, he walked to the kitchen, maybe another late night drink would help calm his brain. Anthony took a bottle of champagne that he hard stored and walked back to the sitting room. He didn't want the stress that came with pouring it into a cup so he drank straight from the bottle. The champagne had already started dulling his brain and making him a little dizzy before he tapped the call back button. Anthony's heart raced again
"Ouch! Are you blind?" Anthony snapped as he grabbed Catherina's arm and pulled her back by the hair, making her stumble and almost fall.“Who the fuck are you?”Catherina winced in pain but looked up at him with a mixture of surprise and anger in her eyes. "I'm sorry, I didn't see you there," she mumbled, trying to keep her composure despite the pain.“You are sorry? Do you know how much that shoe costs, let alone the feet that are inside it? I am Anthony Moyes, a billionaire by birth. I could pay your way out of this school!”Hearing that, Catherina lowered her head, “I am deeply sorry, Master Anthony. I have no excuse, I'm sorry.”Anthony's expression softened slightly as he realized the pain he had caused her. He saw her cranial veins visible and she went pale around her hair. But still, he chose not to break. “Watch out next time.”Catherina touched the spot where he had pulled her hair and turned as she began to walk away.Anthony had financial power, even though, when he steppe

Natasha stood at the arrival gate in the bustling Russian airport, a bright smile on her face as she waited for Anthony to emerge from the crowd of travelers. Finally, she spotted him and waved excitedly, causing him to break into a grin as he made his way towards her."Anthony!" Natasha exclaimed, throwing her arms around him in a warm hug. Anthony was slightly taken aback, expecting a simple handshake, but he quickly hugged her back, feeling grateful for her warm welcome."It's so great to see you, Natasha," Anthony said as they pulled away from the embrace. "Thank you for receiving me.""You know I wouldn't miss it for the world," Natasha replied with a smile. "How was your journey? Are you feeling okay?""It was a bit long, but I'm good," Anthony answered. "I'm just excited to finally be here."Natasha linked her arm with his as they walked towards the exit. "And I'm excited to have you here. Oh, and don't worry about your apartment. It will be ready in three days.""Oh, why not?”
