ARIA My heart was racing in my chest. I was so scared, I was paralyzed by my fear. I was worried that something could go wrong and she would hurt Enzo badly. I was completely powerless and there was nothing I could do, but watch. I flinched when Hera channeled her magic towards me again. Just like before, it bounced off the shield Enzo had placed around me.Her eyes turned red and a shiver went down my spine. Erok's eyes turned forest green and suddenly, a mini cyclone started to take place in Enzo's apartment. I've never felt so terrified. In a blink of an eye, the little girl had multiplied into six. She threw her blades at Enzo repeatedly and he continued to ward them off until she let out a scream of rage. The room suddenly darkened. It was filled with a dark fog and in the midst of it, I could hear the little girls' laughter. One of them emerged from the fog and came so close to the shield, I couldn't hold back my scream. The rest of the girls were in a combat with Enzo a
BLAIR Aria was still sobbing when Mikael and I finally arrived. I embraced her to comfort her while Mikael went towards Enzo who was lying on the bed, unconscious. "Does he have a fever?" I asked when Mikael placed a hand on his friend's forehead. "Not that I know of. He's actually cold" I frowned, realizing how bad the situation was."He's still breathing, right?" I said and Mikael nodded slowly. He checked Enzo's pulse and let out a sigh. "This is rather strange. It's like he's in some sort of coma" "That's not possible. Enzo was fine yesterday. He wasn't in pain and he wasn't even ill" Aria said. Mikael lowered the blanket, revealing Enzo's bare chest. His gaze rested on his upper arm and his expression went from worried to dejected. "What's wrong? Is there something on his arm?" Aria asked as she moved to stand beside Mikael who had a grim look on his face. "That rose.... I don't understand. It wasn't there last night....Wait, is that the same rose I saw on your arm,
BLAIR Sunlight seeped through the window and cast it's glow in Mikael's room. We were lying on the bed. Kael was asleep and I was wide awake. I hadn't slept a wink throughout the night. He'd been so sick, I'd feared that last night was when I would loose him again. I watched him breathe, relieved that he'd made it through the night and was still very much alive. He coughed into his fist and cracked an eye open. I gave him a smile as I picked up a small towel and wiped his bloodied hand. He finally opened his eyes and looked around the room. His gaze finally met mine and an endearing smile curved my lips. "Yes, you're still alive" I rasped and he closed his eyes briefly. He looked so relieved. I held his hand and pressed a kiss to his knuckles. After Mikael had freshened up, I changed the sheets and he laid down on the bed with me beside him."How are you feeling?" I asked and he chuckled softly. "Like I've been hit by a truck?" He rasped. I rolled up the sleeve of his hoodie.
BLAIR My gaze rested on Mikael who was lying right beside me, my head on his bare chest. I blinked and raised my head to look around the room. I'd been asleep few seconds ago. I could've sworn someone had called my name. Mikael was still asleep and there was clearly no one in the room. But, I wasn't convinced that what I'd heard was a mere fragment of my imagination.I placed my hand on Mikael's forehead and heaved a sigh of relief at the absence of a fever. I sat up slowly, gently tucking the blankets around Kael. I got out of bed with no clothes on. Letting out a sharp exhale, I grabbed a night robe and slipped it on. 'Athena' I froze and turned to look at the double doors leading to the terrace. I moved towards them and opened the door. Cold breeze ruffled my hair, goose bumps appearing on my skin. Once I stepped out into the terrace, I was startled by the sight of the glowing figure standing at the far end of the terrace, her back to me.Her hair was a mixture of black and
MIKAEL The air was freezing cold and I had no idea where I was. I was in a dark room with no window or door. I took a step forward. Then, I took another. A door suddenly appeared in front of me, bright light illuminating the room that was once so dark. I took a deep breath and made my way towards the exit of the room. Once I stepped out of the room, I was surprised to find myself in the middle of Hera's courtyard. Hera was speaking to two other women I could recognize. Cordelia, the goddess of water and Nyx, the goddess of the night. The three women were sitting under the tree of discord. "There's something I discovered today" Hera began and the other two women raised their brows."What is it? Did you perhaps find out who the new guard really is?" Nyx asked. "Of course, I did. I discovered that his mother had given him a different name apart from the one given to him by the Fates" Hera said and my frown deepened. I had no clue about what she was talking about. "Why wou
BLAIR My eyelids were heavy with exhaustion but I couldn't sleep. I was also painfully well aware of the digits displayed on the digital clock on the nightstand. I had a pounding headache and I was feeling a little nauseous.Mikael was lying on the bed, asleep and his breathing was strained. I couldn't do anything but watch over him, afraid that if I closed my eyes for a second, I would lose him to the cold hands of death. "All you have to do is accept your cruel reality before Hera takes advantage of your hesitation" a small voice at the back of my mind said. My gaze rested on Mikael's pale face and I stroked the side of his face with shaky fingers. He looked so tired and drained. He used to be so full of life. I recalled how we'd met in this lifetime, the way he'd acted so coldly, the way he called me a different name, the times he called me Scaredy-cat. I thought about everything Moira had said to me and I wondered if I could really do it. I wondered if I could ever gain th
BLAIR Two days after Enzo's visit, I was feeling worse. My headaches had worsened and my nausea became really frustrating. It was at that point that I knew that something was up. Mikael had fallen asleep in the bedroom, not too long ago.He was doing a lot of sleeping as of recent. I went into the bathroom. Then, I took off my shirt and stood in front of the mirror. I seemed to have put on a little weight. I knew what this could mean, but I needed to know for sure if it was what I was thinking. My hands were glowing a bright purple as I channeled my magic into the palm of my hands. Taking a deep breath, I placed my hand on my stomach and closed my eyes. I could feel a different energy within me. Tears filled my eyes and when I opened them, my gaze fell on the mirror. The mirror was reflecting the yellowish waves of energy radiating from my stomach. I slowly sank to my knees, tears rolling down my cheeks in floods. I had mixed feelings about my condition. I was carrying Mikael'
LORENZO Watching Aria sleep had become more of a hobby, knowing that soon I would no longer be by her side in a matter of time. It's been two days since I visited Mikael's home. Two days since Blair told me about Moira's appearance to her. Two days since I accepted my fate. Aria was yet to know about the fact that I was going to die pretty soon. She'd probably noticed that something was bothering me, but she hadn't talked about it, yet. I exhaled slowly, running my fingers through my hair. I was certainly not afraid of dying. But, I was worried about Aria. I knew she didn't want to loose me. If she knew that I was going to die, it would tear her apart. I didn't want to make her cry, but I had to let her know the truth. I needed to prepare her for her future without me. I brushed her hair away from her face, my gaze resting on her serene features. She was beautiful. There was no doubt about that. She was also my first and last love. She made me have a purpose and I was really g
