By the time Lizzie left the Lin family mansion and returned to her apartment, it was already past ten in the evening. Lin Zhanpeng had urged her to stay, but it had been fifteen days since Bruno had left for a business trip. Would he be coming home soon?

Alone, she stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows, the winter moonlight carrying a hint of chill. She found herself missing the warmth of his embrace, a sensation that made her yearn for him.
