POV
The next day I had a meeting with the director of a mall, the company is looking into buying it and renovate it, it is one of the malls that sells our merchandise us owning the mall helps increase our revenue and helps take out the middleman. I am taking control of the negotiations today.
My assistant Rose informed me that Mr. Jacobs will be joining us for the meeting. I do not know why but he does not need to be there I obviously do not need his help. I guess it is because he doesn't trust my negotiation skills.
I noticed the car stopping. I realized we had arrived at the mall I noticed a red four door Ferrari parked right in front of us. The driver jumps out and opens the back door right behind the driver’s side and damn it is the Greek God again he is wearing a red suit and a black shirt he ties his suits buttons and straightens his sunglasses he starts walking this way no he is not.
No, no, no. I am so not ready to face him yet. Damn he is in front of my car Carla calm down. I try to still my heart. But it was useless, I was defenseless against his charm. By the time I could come to my senses he has already opened my door and took my hand to help me out of the car.
"Miss Simpson, you look ready to negotiate" he says with the sexiest smirk on his face.
He offers me his hand to get out the car. I take it and get out.
Keep calm Carla you can do this. He does not let go of my hand until we enter the mall. He walks slightly behind me arm around my waist
"Thank you Mr. Jacobs I appreciate your presence during the meeting, May I ask why I have the pleasure of being your presence?" I try to make conversation
"Miss Simpson is being too polite, I'm here to make sure everything runs smoothly after all this deal makes me a whole of money" he says politely
Of course, his not here to see me, why the hell did I even think otherwise? Why do I feel disappointed? Why do I need to see him so badly? Why am I dreaming about him? What does he look like without that suit? Carla Mia Simpson calms the hell down... He is waiting for you to speak... calm voice.
"Well, I see, thank you for your help then Jacobs" My traitorous voice sounded more like a damn squeak than normal... Thank God he did not notice...
And I take my hand then he puts he is hand on my back damn I lose control of my body I feel numb all over my body I can barely stand on my own right now... My heart stops I can feel a chill throughout my body.
We walk into the crowded part of said mall there are a bunch of people taking pictures of us and I hear people saying we look like models and what and amazing couple, and then I hear someone screaming. Therefore, I hate being out in public I love my quiet peaceful little world I hate being the Centre of attention
"Oh, my word they are wearing matching outfits oh my word they so amazing the most good-looking couple I've seen"
"Aww they look so good together like they just stepped out of a magazine... They look like models"
"I'll buy whatever they are selling... I do not care what they are selling" I mentally laugh at comment
That is when I realize I am wearing a Black dress shiv that hugs all of my curves and pair of red sandal heels. We are matching. I am loving what these people are saying but it is still uncomfortable people taking pictures and talking about me like I am not here... Then I remember Kyler is here as well I hope I do not offend him. And then I hear that damn sexy voice again, but he is whispering in my ear, I feel his breath on my neck my whole-body trembles
"It seems like Miss Simpson is creating quite a stir here. I do not mind matching a beautiful lady like you" He whispers in my ear
He gave me a compliment an actual compliment... I died and went to heaven... Do not you dare wake me up... Let me live in dream land forever and ever...
We enter the elevator heading to the top floor...
"You don't look bad yourself, actually many people describe you as a Greek God I can see why" Shit... I mentally cringe... I did not want to say that... What happened to my filter???
"Does Miss Simpson feel the same way?" He whispers in my ear why does he always sound so sexy when he speaks? And I sound like a cat being strangled to death when I speak to him.
Okay I am starting to think his doing this on purpose, this trying to turn me on... And dammit its working, I can feel the heat radiating from between my legs...
"Yes, uhm No" Damn Carla really now? what happened to staying calm? I just blew it.
He chuckles, I can feel the vibrations throughout my body... It is crazy how my body so desperately wants him.
" Is it yes, or no?" He asks
I am completely flustered at this point to reply calmly. Its takes everything in me to give a calm reply...
"Well maybe" There's that darn squeak again
"I see. And here I am hoping you would say you find me attractive" he says in a sad tone, but I could hear he was most definitely amused...
And we head into the primary office to meet with the owner.
"Ladies first" He lets me walk in the door first... And I am like what the hell are we doing here?
Oh, right that is why we here. Dumbass I mentally roll my eyes
The negotiations went well. And I got show off my negotiating skills in front of him. I get the mall for half the price the owner was asking which is amazing but all I want to hear is he is proud of me wait what? Why him?
I look at him, but he is on his phone is this real. He was supposed to back me up, that is why is he here? What the hell is doing here if not to help me? Did come with me to play on he is phone I am really a second away from pounding he is head in with that darn stupid phone which seems more important than me, wait was I jealous of a freaking phone?
I had no right to we not together. We could never work; Kyler seems sweet he needs a girl who can be there for him I am way too broken to be with him... I am disappointed that he did not pay attention to me because I had worked so hard to impress him and he does not seem to care at all???
Remember Carla you are not good enough for him... You could never have a man like him... What happened to finding yourself? That is the promise you made yourself remember? Finding out who the Real Carla Simpson is, just took over a multimillion-dollar company, I do not have time for a relationship... I am not ready for one...
