"Can we please stop talking about my mother? I get upset talking about her. Now that she no longer have me as a daughter, I want to be free from her. I want her to come to her senses"

"But Nancy, isn't too much, cutting her off like that? . I think........."

"No, Kingston. I said no more talks about my mother. How's the restaurant doing. I know it isn't the same without there" she said, trying to change the subject.

"The restaurant is fine. I have other capable chefs who can fill in my position until I return, so you don't need to worry about the restaurant" he said.
