Chapter 120

The sun was up when Elise and her new family made their way deep into the forest. Sophia had decided to show her everything she h a d wanted to know. Though it was a long meandering narrow path, Elise didn't complain since it was her who had insisted. They finally came into an old abandoned small building that did not seem to contain anything. Miranda however cast a spell and an old wooden door opened leading to an underground staircase. The wall around the opening was filled with cobwebs and spiders. It was evident that no one had been there for several months now. Elise wondered if she would ever experience the same thing in her life, when she would be forced to live far away from her family.

Finally they came into the room which had the transparent glass box, Elise could see clearly the pale body lying in there. Coming face to face with the seemingly lifeless body, Elise felt as though her life was slipping away from her too. The woman seemed to be looking straight at her without b
