I focused on the shadows around me instead of the alphas circling me. I whipped shadows up all around me. It looked like a circle of shadowy tentacles surrounded me. It’s been a month now since the battle with Alester. Percy’s funeral hit me hard, breaking me further. I almost couldn’t bring myself to go.
