Chapter 5: The Five Hour Game

"How did you find me?" I asked this question as soon as we were in my boss's office and the door was closed.
"A piece of advice. Never tell your full real name to the billionaire because they have got quite some sources everywhere to look for any person, anywhere. You told me your last name, even Lily told me her name. I just contacted my source and asked him to search you for me and get me every detail he can get." Lucas replied taking steps towards me while I took steps back. I could see the look and desire in his eyes as he moved close to me. He wants me, just like I want him but I can't give in at any cost.
"Stand back, don't come close to me," I tell Lucas who raised his left brow and asked.
"I will come close to me because I am afraid you are going to run away from me and that is the last thing I ever want in my life. Now, tell me why did you run away from me?" he asked in a husky voice once he had me caged between his body and the glass wall as I was left with nowhere to go. He cups my face and leans closer so our foreheads were touching one another. I could feel him breathing against my skin, that's how close we were, don't ask me about my heart because it was racing at an abnormal speed.
"Please step back," I said in barely an audible voice.
"No, I won't. By the way, you owe me a dinner date." he reminded me " Make sure to get ready for dinner tonight, and keep that beautiful princess ready too. I will come to pick you both up myself. You still didn't answer my question so I am going to ask one more time, darling, why did you run away from me last night when I specifically asked you to stay because I wasn't done with you."
He whispers in my ear and inhales my scent. He nibbled on my earlobe and moaned against it, while I breathed unevenly, trying to hold myself because I was afraid that I might throw myself in this man's arms and kiss him. His addicting cologne smell was acting like a drug for me, calling me to take it all in.
"You are nothing to me so I don't think I need to answer any questions of yours and I don't owe you anything as I didn't ask you for any favor or anything and lastly, don't try to act like you are interested in me or try to use my daughter as a way to enter my heart because it's not easy.
As for why I left? I don't like to date a man like you, who has already got a woman in his life and imagining having another one. In my dictionary, I call these types of men cheaters and losers. So, don't you fucking dare try to use me for your pleasure. I won't allow you to do that." I snapped "I know a man like you because my husband was like one too. He was more professional than you since he was banging literally three women at the same time while his wife and daughter were waiting at home to celebrate our daughter's first birthday."
"I will let this comment about me pass for now because clearly you are hurt by that asshole husband of yours but trust me you are better without him since you are doing a great job raising your daughter and working at the same time to provide a better life for her. I am proud of you. I am not like other men at all because I don't have any woman in my life and don't plan to have one except for you. And, by the way, which woman are you talking about? I don't have any woman in my life that I should know about." he asked with a confused frown.
"Oh, now you are playing innocent?" I asked making a disgusting face " The woman from last night, the one who came to call you at the terrace and begin to get cozy with you?"
"Oh, that woman? She is nothing to me except for my friend from childhood. Isabella and I grew up together and our fathers are best friends, that is the reason why we are close. Nothing else." he informs "Trust me, Emily. I know it is hard for you to believe me since we are only meeting for the second time but you have to believe me when I say that she means nothing to me."
"Why should I? The one thing I have learned from the hardships in my life is that nothing lasts forever and never to trust or fall for anyone because everyone is just a user." I snapped in anger and pushed him away "You brought me over here to talk about business, right? Then let's talk business, if you have nothing to talk about besides business then you can always watch yourself out."
"You want to talk about business? Then let's talk business." he snapped back this time, obviously irritated "I want you to do all the graphic designing for my ongoing company project. You will have your team that will be led by you and from tomorrow and onwards for the next six months, you will be working in my company for this project. You will sign an NDA document in which you are going to promise not to share the company details of the ongoing project with anyone.
You will be getting paid a very large amount for working on this project as well as you will be getting paid by your current employer. Jared and I have already discussed the deal we needed to discuss. If you refuse this project then I am sure Jared is going to kick you out then you will be left jobless since that bastard is one greedy mother fucker.
The choice is yours. Do you want to work on this project or not? I can make you rich in six months, while that bastard can ruin you in minutes. You have got five hours to discuss. When you are done making your decision. Contact me on this number." he passed me his business card and left without saying another word. I surely have made him angry by snapping at him and being a bitch again and again.
"So, what did you guys talk about? You agree to him, right?" I heard my boss, Jared's voice from behind as he entered his office " You better have said yes to his proposal because if you haven't then you will be left with no job at all."
"You do know that you are an asshole, right?" I ask him in anger as I glare at him "You are taking advantage of my situation. Lucas Bennet has given me five hours to make my decision."
"Then make those five hours worth it and say yes or lose your job." he threatened "Now, get out of my office. And, don't pretend to be innocent at all when clearly you have fucked the great Lucas Bennet otherwise he won't be over here at this small company he barely gives a shit about and specifically asking to work with you."
"I haven't fucked him!" I yelled with tears in my eyes "I am not like that fucking whore Gia!"
"They all say that then spread their legs open when the opportunity arrives." he yells back "Now get out of here and better say yes, or I will make sure you will be left with nothing. The apartment you are living in right now is paid for and given to you by the company. Tell him, No, then you won't even have a place to live." I left the room with tears in my eyes after getting insulted by my boss.
"Lucas Bennet, you are going to pay for this. Mark my word." I murmured to myself and called my best friend Sarah for help.
