Louisa's POV
When I woke up in the morning, I found myself in a cold dark cell. Will was in a form of a little bat, hanging upside down at the corner of the cell, and sneezed when a gust of cold breeze blew into the cell from the window. I lost consciousness last night when Lucas strangled me and that's why I couldn't recall anything that happened after that. I tried to move my arms and legs. They were all intact. That's a good sign. I thought to myself. "Will..." I whispered. He opened his eyes and saw me. He flapped his wings and landed on my shoulder, licking my face. He looked exhausted and I noticed one of his wings was broken. My heart was throbbing. "Will, did Lucas hurt you last night?" I asked. Will looked at me with his watery eyes. Then, he transformed into human form and held me in his arms. "He wanted to hurt you, but I wouldn't let him. I bit him and wanted to fly away. He caugLouisa's POV "Father!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. Will tried to hold me up from the ground, but I just kept falling from his hands like dripping water. Then, I heard steps coming from behind. I turned back and saw Lucian walking into the cell. He was holding a torch in his hands and was followed by some soldiers. "You! You've killed my father!" I shouted and charged at him. He grabbed me in his arms and held me tightly against his chest. I punched his back and tried to push him away, but he didn't let go of me. Instead, he lowered his head and lay his head over mine. He didn't say anything, but I knew he wanted to physically block the pain and sadness away from me. "Give my brother back to me! You are a murderer!" I almost cried my heart out. "Sorry, Louisa. I'm sorry," Lucian said. "Did he ask you to do this to my father?! Did he ask you to do this to me?! Is this the way he wants to tortu
Louisa's POV The Cliff of Fear was located in a reclusive area at the tip of Burning Peninsula, overlooking the entire Agier Sea. By the time we arrived at the castle, it had already been dark. I saw spectral fluorescent light floating around the castle like the aurora. Will pushed the giant iron door open and we walked into the maze-like garden in front of the castle. All the plants and flowers were well-maintained and trimmed. There weren't any grotesque stone statues or horned animals lurking around, but the ghastly silence and bone-chilling night breeze still made me quite terrified. Thanks to Will, who held my hands and leaned against me all the time. On a dark moonless night like this, anything could happen in the vampire's lair. As we got into the castle, I immediately noticed the warmth and scent of lavander in the air. The inside of the castle was well-lit and dustless everywhere. Well, no wonder Will turned c
Louisa's POV "Duko was a very open-minded person. I was invited to his coronation ceremony. I have attended so many King's coronation ceremonies, and their speeches were almost the same cliche, talking about building a better and brighter Kingdom in the future. But Duko was different. He was talking about building a free market zone in the west, a bridge to connect the North and South, ports, roads, infrastructures, and fortifications. He's obsessed with building things and was determined to spin the wheel of history faster into a more modernized, foreseeable future. In my humble opinion, our world needs leaders like Duko. They're not interested in ideologies or principles but focus on down-to-earth practicalities. Also, he made it very clear that he would not follow Guillaume's bloodline principle to marry his own sister." "What is Guillaume's bloodline principle?" I asked. This name had been mentioned so many times, but I didn't know what exactly it was.
Louisa's POV When we got back to the camp, I walked straight back to Luna Tent. Will was sleeping in Lucian's pocket. As we walked closer to the tent, I saw the light in the tent was on. Mick was standing next to the tent and saw me. "Miss Louisa, Alpha's inside and he's waiting for you," he said. Lucian stopped and said, "I will come back to you tomorrow, Miss Louisa. Will be staying in my tent for tonight." Then, he walked off. I held the wooden box tightly in my hands and walked into the tent. Lucas was sitting on a chair with one crossed leg and taking a nap. He was leaning against the stand with one hand supporting his head. He was wearing a simple white shirt and black pants. Under the dim light, his face looked strikingly handsome. I couldn't even recognize him, because when he was awake, his facial expression was always so intense and fierce. He seldom looked so calm and peaceful. He looked like a
Louisa's POV Oh, I fucked her again and it feels good. "You're a sick old son of a bitch, aren't you?" My wolf said in my mind. I flipped off the she-wolf's body. She looks like a fucking delicate flower blossom and it opens to me so sweetly. The inside of her is so warm and it's fucking rosy pink. "You'll never know how good it feels. You're just a fucking dog and you're jealous of me," I gloated, holding the she-wolf in my arms. She tried to push me away, but I didn't let her. She's my woman, my fucktoy. I pick her up or drop her down whenever I want. I lowered my head and kissed her. She looked grievant and groaned with her eyes fully closed. "Can't you just leave her alone? She's exhausted. If you wake her up, she'll ask you the same question again," my wolf said. "Why don't you tell her who you really are? What are you afraid of?" "I'm not fucking afraid of anything, Finn!" "She's a princess,
Lucas' POV "Are you fucking kidding me?! She's my fucking mate! She's mine! My property! I fucking branded her!" I shouted. "I've already told you. You might not like this plan," Lucian said in a calm voice. "She's not a fucking bargain chip! I don't want any other fucking men to get inside of her body! I am his first and last man! If I die, she dies with me!" I yelled at him. Lucian said, "We're here at a dead end. I'm offering a way to get out of this situation, but you want to bang your head against the wall until it smashes into a paste. I know Louisa is your mate, Luke. But she isn't irreplaceable. There's a reason that Moon Goddess assigned her as your mate. You're just helping her to fulfill her destiny." I didn't say anything. Lucian added, "Think about it, Luke. Our cause is about to be accomplished. We'll be able to beat the world into a shape that we like. We're almost there. If we gave up right now, everything that we've done w
When I woke up in the morning, Lucas had already left. I put on a gown, rubbed my eyes, and stretched, looking around. Mana and Mata walked into the tent with a tray of breakfast and a kettle in their hands. "Good morning, miss." "We have prepared some breakfast for you." They put the tray and kettle on the desk and stood in front of my bed. I saw the rapture wounds on their hands and recalled that they were injured while pulling me up yesterday. I immediately jumped out of bed and picked up my potion box. "Miss, are you looking for something?" "We can do it for you." I picked up the yarrow bottle and sat on the carpet with crossed legs. "Come here," I waved at them, "I'll put some herbal powder on your wounds, so they heal faster." Mana and Mata looked at each other and put their hands behind their backs. "Miss, we're fine." "We don't feel a thing." "Come here. Don't worry. It
Louisa's POV Leo walked into the tent and I saw his face was a bit swollen. There was still some remaining bruise on the corner of his mouth. He was a Lycan and a Lycan could always heal himself. The bruise was still present overnight. I couldn't even imagine what kind of punishment he had been through last night. "Leo," I said in a trembling voice. I stretched out my arms at him, but he didn't take them. Instead, he sat on Darren's bed with a lowered head. "I'm sorry, Louisa. This is all my fault. I shouldn't have started the fight with Darren. It almost got you killed," he whispered. "Leo, it's not your fault." I held him in my arms and said. "Will's right. Werewolves are dangerous. Sometimes, I can't control myself. The more power I have, the more violent I get," Leo said in a muffled voice. "I was so angry to find out you're Alpha's mate. I was angry at myself, so I had to let it out." "Why? Why were you ang
