Ava relates:

We were at the party, glass after glass of champagne, trying to process everything that had happened that day and, more than anything, to forget it. My grandfather smiled at me proudly—at least he was happy, and with that, I already felt like a winner.

For the rest of the night, I decided to try to forget the storm of taunts I would face the next day.

It was late, I was exhausted and overwhelmed, yet people kept coming up to congratulate me. At least they enjoyed the show. The downside was that, amidst all the attention, there was no time to be with Alex, who was busy talking to various investors.

Everyone seemed to be having a great time. The party was going well, and at least I felt a little calmer.

I stepped out of the crowd with the excuse of needing another drink. As soon as I was alone, my friends saw the opportunity and approached me.

"Ava!" Maggie called.

"Oh, girls." I stopped and greeted them.

"Ava, we wanted to apologize," Paula began. "Last time, we said thing

Alex relates:Alex recounts: "I saw Ava fall just as she was spinning on stage. I wished, somehow, that I had the power to rush over in an instant and catch her in my arms, but real life doesn’t work that way. With my heart racing, I ran and jumped onto the stage. I saw her lying there, staring at the ceiling, holding back her tears. My heart broke.I pulled her into my arms, feeling her hug me tightly, her face buried against my chest. It stirred something in me, a fierce protectiveness—an urge to put her in a glass sphere and shield her from anyone who could ever hurt her.I took a step, ready to lift her out of there, but as I did, I noticed the press snapping photos and people murmuring, seizing her moment of vulnerability. Then, suddenly, I heard a shout from the crowd.“Pathetic quality of G&G products! Looks like they can’t even support that much weight!”I turned and instantly recognized him. Despite the ridiculous costume he was wearing, I knew it was Ava's ex-boyfriend, Mike

Ava relates:He had to celebrate, who would not feel joyful and satisfied with such an achievement? The show, in short, was a success and what I thought would be my misfortune, the fall, ended up being my fortune. The following days, I was very busy with Alex, giving press conferences, presentations, and meetings, so the following weekend I had a night off.I went to a bar, and what better place than the one where I met Alex, since that day my life had changed for the better in all aspects, I felt fulfilled and happy, so I owed that place to return to visit it.I took a seat at the bar, because this time I wasn't coming with my friends, I ordered a drink and I took it slowly, savoring each drink, listening to the music, watching the bartender's movements, concentrating.I heard the bench next to me moving, but I didn’t bother turning around. A man ordered a couple of drinks from the bartender.“Would it bother you if I offered you a drink?” the guy next to me asked, holding up a glass

Ava relates:A.J. was on top of me on the couch, kissing and touching me, his hands no longer gripping me, but trying to slide my clothes off.Sensing the reality of what was happening, I tried to push A.J. off, but that seemed to excite him more, making him more intense, heavier, and faster. At one point, my dress was lying on the floor, and my panties had been torn. In no time, that man claimed me with all his strength, making me his own in the way he wanted, on the sofa."Ava, I'm sorry if I was too rough with you. I don't know what... Things weren't supposed to turn out like this," he murmured softly, close to me, after he finished, while I lay completely naked, curled up at one end of the sofa."What? No... You're right... None of this should have happened like this, this..." I began to babble nervously, my face flushed. "I asked you to stop.""I know, I know... It's just... You're so sensual that I... I'll make it up to you, I swear," he said, crouching beside me and taking my h

Alex relates:Alex recounts:"Mr. Grand, they tell me at reception that someone is looking for you." Olivia's voice came through the receiver."Who?" I was surprised; I wasn't expecting anyone today."It’s a woman—Mrs. Joselin Morales." That name echoed in my mind, leaving me momentarily blank."Sir?" Olivia persisted when I didn’t respond."Yes, well... Tell the front desk that I’m very busy and can’t attend to her.""I’m sorry, sir, but the lady insisted that she won’t leave until you see her." I swallowed hard. "Do you want me to call security?"I thought that it might be a good solution—security could escort her out and ban her from ever coming back. But if she caused a scene, which was highly likely, Ava would find out, and that was the last thing I wanted."Oh, no. Tell her to come in." I hung up.I felt a twinge of anxiety and loosened my tie a little. It had been years since I’d seen that woman, and I thought I’d never have to deal with her again. That’s why I was always caref

Ava relates:I felt a sharp pang in my heart, my body trembling. There I stood, frozen, my hand on the doorknob of Alex’s office, listening to his shouts, my husband arguing with a woman, a stranger."NEVER SAY OR IMPLY SOMETHING LIKE THAT AGAIN! YOU DON’T KNOW ANYTHING!" I heard Alex’s voice, full of anger."Of course I know! I know you, Alex! We lived together! You remember, don’t you? How much we loved each other..." The woman spoke confidently, her voice thick with emotion. "I told you, I asked you to fight, to show me your love, to become a man with resources, and then you’d come looking for me. You did it, didn’t you?""Did I look for you?" I heard Alex ask. A small sense of relief washed over me when I heard his response."Surely, you haven’t done it just because you’re still married. But you did what I asked of you, you showed me how great your love can be. Now, you just need to get divorced, take your share of the settlement, and we’ll leave together... We’ll be happy, just l

Alex relates:It was done Joselin was out of my life. I turned to Ava, but she was already halfway up the stairs. I followed her. As we entered our room, I stood frozen, watching in disbelief as Ava pulled out a suitcase and started packing clothes from our closet."Ava, what are you doing?" I grabbed her arm to stop her."It saves you work and time," she replied, frowning, pulling her arm away to continue packing."What? What are you talking about? I don't want anything to do with that woman...""For now...""Ava, please!" I took both her shoulders, turning her to face me, forcing her to look into my eyes. "I love you. I don't want anything to do with her. You have to believe me.""That's what you say now, like everyone else. But there will come a time when you'll give in. It always happens. Ava relates:I went into our room to pack my bags, trying to keep my emotions in check. It wasn’t easy. My throat was already sore, my body ached, and my heart felt like it was breaking.“Ava, what are you doing?” Alex came in and grabbed my arm.“It saves you work and time,” I replied, frowning. Anger was the best way to keep tears at bay. I pulled away from his grip to continue packing.“What? What are you saying? I don’t want anything with that woman…”“For now…” I started, but he cut me off.“Ava, please!” He took me by the arms, forcing me to look him in the eye with that piercing blue gaze that had always done so much to me. “I love you. I don’t want anything with her. You have to believe me.”“That’s what you say now, just like everyone else. But there will come a time when you’ll end up giving in. Ava relates:"Excuse me..." That really irritated me. I mean, how bold could this woman be to ask for my husband's details after all the times I’ve seen her clingy behavior toward him? She might be my personal idol, but when it came to Alex, no one was getting close to him. "What are you after?" I growled."What?" She seemed to notice my sudden change in mood."I mean..." I took a deep breath, trying to control myself. "Since we started this process, I couldn't help but notice the... 'preference' you have for my husband." I explained seriously. "And I can’t help but wonder, what exactly are you trying to do with him?""I'm not trying to do anything, Mrs. Grand. It's just that, both in life and in business, it's easier to get along with gentlemen than with ladies. We women tend to let our emotions and feelings interfere, just like you’re doing now. Men are clearer and more straightforward... Or did Mr. Grand ever suggest that I make any advances?" She responded, somewhat annoyed, under

Ava relates:"I agree, but only with one condition," Alex murmured, a playful glint in his eyes, as he slid the hand that had been caressing my cheek down my arm."Which one?" I asked, feeling a tingle on my skin from his touch."That… even when we’re angry, we can’t let the fun, and the marital affection slip away… It’s terrible to go to bed angry," he said seriously."Huh?" I thought, perplexed, Where does he come up with these things at a time like this?"I think it’s a good option," he said, sounding thoughtful. "If you’re angry with me, that same night, you have to spank me right away, that way you release your anger and I can relax..." he said nonchalantly, shrugging."Ha, ha, ha," I burst out laughing. I couldn’t keep up with my husband’s fantasies. "And what happens if it’s you who’s angry?""We can try it too," he raised an eyebrow mischievously. "We don’t know if you might end up liking the spanking as well, and I promise to be very careful.""Oh!"I felt myself turning red

Ava relates:I was terrified. The small pinpricks in my stomach were becoming more frequent, and with each passing moment, more and more people crowded around me.At first, like at any other event, I greeted everyone warmly, smiling as I accepted their congratulations and being polite. But I was starting to feel overwhelmed. I turned, searching for Alex's support. I knew that if anyone could get me out of there, it was him.But Alex had nowhere to be found.I didn’t know when he had left. I looked around at all the facts surrounding me, but he wasn’t there—neither close nor far.My breathing grew more rapid, my nerves intensifying. I felt like I needed some fresh air.“Excuse me…” I tried to make my way through the crowd, searching for my lifeline, my savior: my husband.I walked a bit, but every so often, people would stop me from continuing with their compliments. I tried to apologize each time, making my way through the stand, still hoping to find Alex.I never saw him. He didn’t a

  • Lost in your Curves    Chapter 63 – Differences

Alex relates:With Ava’s pregnancy more advanced than we expected the concerns she tried to brush up on were my top priority. And I think the most stressful part of it all was trying to prevent her from getting stressed—if that makes sense. Especially considering how stubborn my wife could be.But I promised to help and support her through this process, so every day I pushed myself harder at work to free her from commitments, avoid pressure, and make her pregnancy easier. The more I tried, though, the more tense and angry she seemed. The fashion show was just days away, and all we needed to do was fine-tune the details. But Ava insisted on handling everything, and well, that led to arguments. As the days passed, Ava became moodier. She seemed like a ticking time bomb ready to explode. Still, her bad attitude wasn’t going to change my mind, she needed to focus on the baby, take care of herself during her pregnancy, and work had to be secondary.I know I had told her she could keep work

Ava relates:Alex was happy, there was no doubt about it, and although at first, I didn’t want to be pregnant, I could feel his excitement was contagious, spreading all the way to my heart. I started smiling at the news of my pregnancy. Was I scared? Without a doubt, I was filled with panic, but Alex’s words and support gave me a shift in perspective, and I began to see my pregnancy in a different light.A small hope blossomed inside me.Alex wanted to go to the doctor the next day; he was clearly eager, but I had to insist that I already had an appointment scheduled for a few days later. Since we were both swamped with work, he had no choice but to hold off.The following day, we went to work as usual, and even though Alex wanted to shout the news of the new family member to the world, I had to convince him that it was best to wait until a doctor confirmed it.He didn’t want to understand that home pregnancy tests could be inaccurate, but he eventually agreed, though he almost let it

Alex reports:Ava stood there, lost in thought, her head bowed. Slowly, she moved her hand to her stomach."So, Ava!" I shouted, my voice filled with anger. "Tell me the truth! You don’t want to have a child with me?!" I raised my voice, causing her to flinch."Do I want it?" she whispered, not looking at me. "I don’t know yet, I wouldn’t know how to tell you.""After three years together and having our twins, you still don’t know? At this point... You can’t even find the courage to tell me?" I saw the pain in her eyes, and I felt my blood boil with rage. I didn’t want to say anything more, so I stormed out of the bathroom and went straight to our closet, grabbed the first t-shirt I could find, threw on a sweater, put on some sneakers, and started getting dressed."What are you doing? Where are you going?" she asked, barely able to process what was happening as I quickly put on my clothes."I need to take a drive," I grunted, brushing past her to leave.I drove aimlessly, not really k

Ava relates:I had been feeling a bit unwell lately, but it was mostly after taking my reliable birth control, which had been causing me nausea. I thought maybe the brand of the pill wasn’t sitting well with me, so I should switch it. I silently hoped that was the case and that it wasn’t something else.Given the situation, which was starting to irritate me, I decided to pay a quick visit to my doctor. However, when I arrived at the office, I found out that my doctor was unavailable due to a personal emergency, and they wouldn’t let me see another doctor. The receptionist, rather snobby, informed me that I needed to make an appointment with the same doctor who had been treating me.A bit annoyed, I scheduled the appointment, which was for a couple of days later. It was frustrating. I left the office grumbling and drove back home. However, a bad feeling lingered. I felt like there was something more to my nausea than just the pills, and I couldn’t wait another day to find out.So, on m

Ava relates:We left for the company very early, of course, Alex accompanied me.That day was very important for me and for G&G, as a prominent designer and investor had submitted a proposal to launch her new clothing line with our company, thanks to the great success of our recent collections. It was a fantastic opportunity. If we could secure that project, we would have half the work done for the next season, and our company would gain more prestige in the fashion world, positioning itself as one of the leading companies in the industry. Now that I held the position of CEO, I couldn’t let this gift from life slip away, not when I wanted to prove to my grandfather and to everyone how capable I was of running the company.Alex supported me, of course, and accompanied me every step of the way. However, now he held the position of Vice President. Finally, my grandfather had passed the company on to me, and this entire headquarters was in my name. Even though Alex had many commitments wi
