Carmella nodded, she was glad that Maria didn’t pick any offense with her attitude which meant she would say nothing of it to the queen.
Maria accepted the apology whole heartedly, not like she had a choice anyways and in few seconds both Maria and Carmella were on their way to the palace.
The journey to the palace was a quiet one as Carmella was lost in her own thoughts thinking exclusively about her mother’s last words, how on earth was she to face her? What other lie would she tell again?
