Chapter 31

I didn’t want to stray too far from Damian, but I really needed to get away from Dina. I walked out of that hall and shut the door. I waited in the foyer for Damien when I heard Yara say, “We should not be here alone. Someone is coming”.  Just then, Adam walks up behind me, puts a hand on my shoulder and I flip him over my shoulder. He lands on his back and chuckles, “Guess I had that coming”. Yara laughed and said, “Oh, it’s just him”. I said, “You knew who was coming”. She laughed, “Of course. I just wanted to see you do that”.

I cringed and said, “You should know better than to walk up behind me like that. I’m already wound tight after talking to that bitch. I’m ready for another fucking fight’. Adam stands up and says, “Why did you go out with him before we had a chance to talk?” I was suddenly furious with him, “Adam, I was blessed with a second chance mate. I’m not fucking that up. You were not willing to fight to keep me. Damien has more courage in his pinky, tha
