Conri POV
When those doors opened, I had the perfect view of her. Good Goddess! I am the luckiest Lycan on Earth! She is being pushed down the aisle by Chloe, with her arm in my dad's. She looks so regal and beautiful in that color. I need to remember that color for the future. Dad pushes her up the ramp to the stage. One of the Elders, Adoff, will be performing the ceremony. When Ashina is in front of me, I smile, "simply beautiful." She mouthed the words, "Thank you."
We both turned to face Adoff, and he smiled as he said, "We are gathered here to celebrate the crowning of our new Princess and I know I speak for everyone when I say it's about time." Everyone laughed for a moment, and he continued, "We are all so honored to have a bold, brave and loving Princes

Ashina's POV Conri and I are on the stage, staring out at the crowd. The ceremony went great. I do wish I could've walked down the aisle though. Maybe I will get to surprise Conri by walking down the aisle at our wedding. "Don't worry, girl, I got you," Nyla says, "There is a lot of damage and it's a lot like trying to rewire the Pentagon." I said, "Okay. I trust you. I will just do my best to keep my legs strong." As I'm finishing this thought, I hear a pop. Nyla says, "In the balcony." I look up and find him, still aiming. I neutralized him and another shooter. I refuse to let this mess up our evening. I will deal with this shit tomorrow. I finally get to change into my other dress. I go to my room with my security, my mom and Lupe. When we get there, Trina s
I took a deep breath and said, "I want to thank all of you for coming. It has definitely been a journey getting here, but I'm so glad to be in this spot tonight. I want to let you know that I will do my best to be a fair princess, no matter what. I am not the type to make someone else do my bidding. I will always be right there, getting my hands dirty with you. As long as someone tells me I need to be there." Everyone laughed and I continued, "I want to thank Queen Nina for helping organize and plan this event. I would've been lost without you. I also want to thank Princess Chloe for decorating both rooms for this event. Chloe, the big sister I never had, I love you so much! Thank you." Then I turned to Conri and said, "And I want to thank Conri for loving me enough to stay with me through all of the challenges we've had so far. It would've been so easy for you to reject me because of this wheelchair, but you didn't. You are the love of my life, and there is no way I could live with
Nyla said, "This is what I was hoping for. I just don't know if you can yet." I said, "Why?" She said, "You stand upright. Your injury is at the very bottom of your spine. It puts more pressure on your spine, when you walk, than I do on mine." I said, "We can keep working on it though, right?" She said, "I'm not giving up on you, lady. Don't you worry about that. But for now, I would love to walk with Conri's wolf." I laughed when Conri shifted into his wolf, Conan, and mind linked, "Shall we take a walk together?" I looked around, and everyone else was shifted too. They all wanted to show support for me. They all encircled us, and we started walking slowly, at first, then it started to get faster. Before I knew it, we were running again! I was so happy, I wanted to cry. It seems like I have been waiting forever for this day. I said, "Nyla, I am so happy to have you!" She chuckled, "So you're not mad at me for waking you up?" I laughed, "Hell no!" When we got back to t
Conri leaned over and whispered in my ear, "Are you sure you want to do that so soon?" I said, "I know I do. So, you should call and arrange a time to get your tux soon." He smiled, "Yes, my princess. I will do that today." I smiled and kissed him gently, "I can't wait to be your wife. Then you'll be legally stuck with me forever." He laughed, "I wouldn't want you any other way. I've waited too long to have you. Do you honestly think I would want to let go of you now?" I smiled and said, "Just making sure." He chuckled and shook his head, "You baffle me sometimes. You know that don't you?" I said, "It keeps you on your toes." We finished eating breakfast, and I changed my shirt into a tank top, then put a jacket over it. Conri said, "Are you sure you want to wear that?" I said, "I'm going to be trying on wedding dresses. I need the thinnest clothes possible to ensure they fit okay." He said, "Okay." We went into the sitting room and waiting for our mothers. They both s
Conri and I went outside, and he said, "It really is not fair that you can shift with your clothes on, without destroying them. You get to see me naked, but I don't get to see you naked." I laugh, "You see me naked every morning and night." He said, "Still not fair. Seeing you naked is my favorite sight to see." I just shake my head as he comes out of the woods. He and I shift at the same time. I take off running while I hear him laughing through the mind link, "You think you can get away from me, little mate?" I laughed, "Catch me if you can, my mate." Nyla was running as fast as she can and loving every second of it. I knew Conri was purposely staying just a bit behind. He knew how much I missed running. I reached a clearing and crouched down, below the height of the grass. He started looking around for me, then, suddenly, he was on top of me. Conan said, "Give up, mate?" Nyla said, "What do I get if I do?" He nuzzles Nyla's neck and says, "Whatever you want." She says, "I want mo
Three days later, I'm on the phone with Grandma. She wants us to come down today. I have nothing else on the schedule, so I tell Grandma that I will talk to Conri about it and let her know. It's only six am, and I am dressed to meet my physical therapist. Conri is still sleeping, and I really don't want to wake him. I have a feeling about today. but I don't want to disappoint anyone. That is the reason I am alone in here. Well, I have Trina here, because she's my bodyguard. I can't go anywhere without her, but I'm really glad. She and I have become best friends, and I don't know what I would do without her or Lupe. I'm on the chin-up bar, doing pull ups and I'm finally able to get my legs in front of me to do it. I am so happy. I relax as soon as the therapist gets here. He said, "Those were some wickedly painful pull ups you were doing. They're very effective, but they are painful, and I'm glad to see you doing them." I laughed, "I love working out. So, do you think today m
Dinner was amazing, as usual. When we were all passing the food around, Conri tried to take just a little of everything, at first. When he saw the hot-hot, he asked what it is. I said, "It's a mix of tomatoes, onion, chili peppers, salt and pepper. Grandma has always called it hot-hot." He took a big spoonful of it and passed it around. He noticed that only Gabriel and Grandpa took any of it, "It's that hot, huh?" We all laughed and nodded. When he tried it, he moaned, "This is so good! Ash, you need to tell the kitchen staff how to make this." I laughed and said, "I will, but it won't be as good. I don't know why, but it's always best when Grandma makes it." He laughed and said, "I will never doubt your word again. This is amazing." Grandma chuckled and said, "Sweetie, you may have to have a kitchen of your own and start cooking some of this yourself." I said, "We'll have to see about that." Conri stopped everything and said, "Wait; you can cook like this?" I laugh, "She's the one
I woke up the next morning and went to the gym as soon as I got dressed. Conri followed and helped me on the leg press by spotting me. I want to get my legs back to the strength they were before I got shot. I'm working out when my physical therapist comes in. He said, "You're doing exactly what we were going to do first. I'm happy that you got a head start. It saves time to be able to work more on walking." I said, "I've done four sets of ten already. I am two presses away from five sets." I do two more presses, and I say, "Done. What's next?" He asked, "Have you stretched?" I nodded, "Before I started the leg presses." He said, "Then, I guess, you get to start walking. I would also like for you to try to run. As werewolves, that's a survival skill." I laughed, "You got that right." I walked around the gym three times, then started jogging for one lap, then running at a slightly faster pace for another lap, and I progressed with each lap. Each lap got faster and faster until
