The Oracle & The Dragon: Ch 76
The dragon rides were a huge hit, and the afternoon presentation went much smoother than the morning one did. We had fun with the community until well into the evening. We were all approached by many members of the community several times, throughout the day, with questions for us. We all answered as honestly as possible, and we got to get to know all our neighbors.
When the carnival was over, we all went back to our house. We checked on the wolf family, and they jumped on us as they greeted us with enthusiasm. The next morning, I got up early, took my shower, got dressed and went to get breakfast. As I sat down in the private dining room, Queen Chumani sat with me. I woke up this morning in my own bed with the man who is my world holding me tightly. So tight, in fact, that I felt like my bladder was going to explode. Ugh! What a long night! Supper went well, I was up late making sure the kids had plenty of food made, so that all they had to do was heat it up. When we reached King Mateo’s castle, I was taken aback by just the sheer size and beauty of the area. We got out of the vehicle, and I just wanted to get an up-close look at the plants. There were massive Cypress trees all over the place, and really pretty flowers in the gardens in front of the castle. There were purple Irises, Hibiscus, Blue Sage, and then I saw a bush I had never seen or heard of before. It had a strange-looking red flower on it. I asked Queen Judia, “What is that bush called. I have never seen that flower before.” She chuckled, “It’s called a Strawberry Bush. All heads turned to the direction of the gunfire. King Mateo’s face immediately turned red in anger, “This is what I was talking about.” I matched his gaze, “Let’s go.” He shook his head, “Not a chance, Princess. Aidinth, Rule, and I can handle it. I’m going to drop you and my queen off right here. I can’t have either of you getting hurt.” Alpha Arnou approaches us, “Ladies, we have lunch set up in the dining room for you. As I played with Hugo, Aidinth took out his phone and started taking video of the ball game that we were playing. We had stopped playing fetch, and started playing a game similar to volleyball, except we didn’t have a net. The only objective was to keep the ball from touching the ground. I was laughing hard as I watched Hugo’s mouth barely make contact with the ball, then he would snap his jaw shut to make the ball pop up. I would get under the ball and slap it back to him. We played for two hours before he finally got tired and went to rest. I walked back to the chair next to Aidinth and chuckled as I sat down. Aidinth asked, “You looked like you were having so much fun. We need to get you a pet. I know you’ll be so much happier if you have one.” I laughed, “I don’t think I really want one.
