After locking the doors, Aidinth carried me, bridal style, all the way to our bedroom. We were just about to get in the shower, when I heard a wolf howl, very close to our house. I sighed, "I can't ignore this. I think they need us." I ran downstairs and saw the entire wolf family at the door. I went to the garage and opened it. The wolf family ran inside, and I shut the door. I checked them all out, and the female's leg has been shot. "Aidinth," I yelled, "Call Layla! We need a healer." I petted her gently and soothed, "Poor momma, you just can't catch a break!" Aidinth ran into the garage, and I told him, "The hunters started early. Momma here has been shot." He brought out a couple of old blankets that we had used for moving and laid them on the floor. I asked, "Would you mind staying here for a minute while I get them some food and water?
