2024-10-29 19:42:56I actually got to sleep in this morning! I am so happy! It's seven am, and I'm just waking up. Before I do anything else, I eat a couple crackers to ease the morning sickness and then I start to get out of bed, but Aidinth stops me by grabbing my waist and pulling me back. I giggle, "Today is the day of my crowning ceremony! I have so much to do!" He corrected, "No, you don't. You got almost all of it done yesterday. Today, you focus on you and me. This afternoon, we will be bound together in front of the entire world. That means you will be mine, for good!" I leaned into him more and cooed, "I do love the sound of that."
Just then someone knocked on the bedroom door. Aidinth yelled, "Yes?" Queen Chumani announces, "Hate to break up your early morning party, but your mate is needed out here." I cringed, "Is it good or bad?" She laughed, "It's all good, honey. We just need you out here soon." I exhaled the breath I was holding, "I will take a shower and be out shortly."

That night was awesome. Aidinth and I danced our legs off. At one point, he was dancing with Kimber, while I danced with Kai. As we waved goodbye to King Uther and Queen Chumani, I could see Queen Chumani wipe a tear from her eyes. I'm going to miss that sweet woman. I have grown to love her like the mother I lost so many years ago. But we are not going too far away, and we will be back at least three days a week for work. We just really needed a space of our own. I did invite them up for dinner this weekend. Maybe that will take some of the sting away. All the way to the house, I was dreaming of what life will be like, and I was loving every minute of it. I do love the idea of being domesticated. It just feels right to me. The next morning, I threw on a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt and walked downstairs. I poured a cup of coffee for myself, went outside, and sat on the deck to just ease into my day. One week later… Mom spent the night with us last night because mommy, daddy and sister all needed to get a full night of sleep. We were all starting to get quite cranky.
