After I shower, I put on a pair of my favorite boot cut jeans and a comfy t-shirt. I brush my waist length brown hair out and let it air dry. I don't bother with much makeup, just a little lip gloss and a little eye liner. Time to head to Adriana's room... my drama queen sister. She's only two years younger than me, but much higher maintenance than my youngest sister, Alexis.

I shake Adriana, "Ade! C'mon! It's time to get up for school. Get up and get dressed." Adriana squirms around and starts kicking the covers off, "Why are you always in my face?" "Whoa little sister!" I step back, "I only wake you up when I absolutely have to. If I had my choice, I wouldn't. You are entirely too grumpy. Besides, you're going to miss me in a few months when I go to college and I can't wake you up anymore." She looks at me with a smirk, "If you can find a school that will accept you." I walk out of her room ignoring her comment because I know she just wants to get a reaction out of me, and I refuse to get worked up before I even get to school.

I go across the hall to Alexis' room. "Lex! Time to get up baby sister!" I say as I gently shake her. She sits straight up and wraps her arms around my neck, "Carry me!" I shake my head and untangle myself from her arms, "Not a chance. We don't have time for games right now. You need to get ready then you need to eat breakfast before school. Besides, you're nine years old! Don't you think you're a little old for me to carry you?" She smiles and says, "Kayla carries me still". I turn my back on her and say, "That's Kayla's choice... Not mine" as I walk out of her bedroom.

I walk through the living room and my dad is about to leave for work, "See ya this evening dad. Any preferences for dinner tonight?" He gives me a quick hug and says, "Whatever you make will be fine. Gotta get going. Love you!" The door shuts before I get the chance to tell him I love him back. I shrug my shoulders and walk into the kitchen and get cereal and milk out with three bowls and spoons.

After we all eat, we head out and meet Kayla at the corner of our street to walk to school together. As we are walking, one of the girls from my class walks up behind me and grabs a handful of my hair. She pulls my head back and tries to punch me in the face. Out of reflex, I turn around with her hand still holding onto my hair and punch her in the nose. She lets go of my hair to grab her nose and I take off running. When Kayla and my sisters catch up with me, Alexis is fuming mad, and Kayla is laughing so hard tears are streaming down her cheeks. I ask what's so funny and she couldn't talk. Alexis gives Kayla a look and tells me, "I told that girl I wanted to tell her a secret. When she bent down to listen, I punched her in the eye!" I started laughing as hard as Kayla was until we got to school. Did I mention that Alexis is the one with the hottest temper of all of us?

I went straight to my locker, keeping my head down the whole time, and opened it. I proceeded to get my books out for my first couple classes. When I shut my locker, I jumped to find Dina, the class snob, who was also a werewolf, and was dating our future alpha. Dina starts to chuckle as she says, "Aww, did I scare you?" Without waiting for an answer, she continues, "Good. You should be. Nobody wants you here anyway. When I become Luna, you will be out of here. You might as well leave now." I give her a stunned look and say, "Oh, am I missing something? I could've sworn I just heard Adam in the janitor's closet with someone else. Maybe I was just hearing things". Dina clenches her fists and starts to punch me, but Principal Thomas stops her in her tracks, "Better get to class ladies, before the second bell rings".

Our future alpha, Adam Dumas, is a major player and does not believe in commitment, but Dina thinks she's the only one. I guess that's what makes her feel good. Personally, I could care less. He is so full of himself that no she-wolf will ever be more important than himself. His Beta, Brian, is just as bad.

I manage to get through my first four classes with nothing more than a few names being hurled my way, which is fine with me. After putting my books in my locker, I go to lunch. I get my tray with just an apple and a bottle of water. Everything this school makes is disgusting, so I go with safe options.

I find Kayla sitting at our usual table in the corner of the lunchroom waiting for me. I sit down and see she has a grin on her face. "What's going on with you? You look like you're up to something," I ask as I give her the side-eye. She smiles really big, "What do you think of having a huge party for your birthday? We could invite every unmated male and maybe you could find your mate!" I shake my head furiously, "HELL NO! I will not. None of these males want anything to do with me. Why invite rejection into my home? Not doing it. I will dress up for school that day, but nothing more. I don't want a party at all. You can link my mom and tell her I want no part of it". Kayla looks deflated as she asks, "How'd you know your mom was behind it?" I reply, "You KNOW how much I hate everyone here, besides you. My mom has no clue how much I hate this school. I refuse to bother her with all the bullshit. She doesn't need to worry about it. You know that if either of our dads find out about what I go through daily here, they would start pounding heads together." Kayla laughs an uneasy laugh, "I do believe you are correct." I shrug my shoulders and watch Kayla's eyes glaze over while she links my mom.

Linking, or mind linking, is a form of communication that we have as members of the same pack. We can also use it to make public announcements. I suddenly feel a knocking in my brain, and I already know who it's going to be when I open the link, "Hi mom. I know you want to do something special for my birthday, but don't. The best thing you can do for me is be home when I get home from school and spend the evening with me. That's all I want." My mom sighs, "Abby, I just want to make it special for you. It could be your last birthday at home for a few years. And what if your mate is in our pack? I would love to know who my future son-in-law is before you leave". After reassuring my mom that she will meet him if I do, I tell her I need to get going.

The rest of the day went the same way it always does. Me keeping my head down, ignoring the whispers, the name calling, avoiding the occasional foot purposely put in my path to trip me (one of the advantages to be constantly looking at the floor). After school, I met up with my sisters and Kayla and started walking home. We are halfway home when I hear someone running up behind me. Trying to avoid another situation like this morning, I turn quickly and see our future Alpha running up to me, "Abby! Why are you in such a hurry to leave?" I raise my eyebrows and shake my head, "You really don't care about anything except what affects you personally. Sorry Alpha, I have to go". I start to turn, and he grabs my wrist and turns me around. I can no longer hide my irritation and say, "What do you want Alpha? I have to get home and cook dinner for my family." He continues holding my wrist and says, "I know your birthday is coming up. Are you having a party?" I sha

After dinner, dad told Adriana to load the dishwasher because he wanted to talk to me. We sit down in the living room, and dad says, "Abby I know everyone has been asking you about your birthday, but we need to have a serious discussion about it. It's only a week away and some important things could happen and I want you to be fully prepared for it". Just then mom walks in. Dad tells her what he just said and mom kicks off her shoes, and sits down, "Okay. Let's talk".Dad starts the discussion, "We all know that it's very possible that you could meet your mate that day and you need to be extra careful". I hold up a hand and interrupt, "Dad, I highly doubt that any of the guys in this pack are my mate. They are all royal assholes. None of them are interested in a mate who can defend herself. They want to be dominant instead of equals like you and mom. I won't settle for less than what you two have. Besides, I have my wolf training right after I graduate high school. I don't ha

Adam's POV I've been trying to catch Abby alone all day today. It's not like she's popular. The problem is just the opposite. Everyone has been ganging up on her harder this year than ever before. But it's not like I ever did anything about it before either. Combine that with Dina hanging all over me all day, and I didn't stand a chance. When I saw her rushing to get out of the building, I saw my chance. As I followed her out of the building, I kept getting this faint feeling that she may be my mate. To be honest, that's why I've been having sex with as many of these whores as I can. My wolf, Maximus, keeps telling me she's our mate, but I'm having a hard time figuring out if I want her. She never does anything about the bullying at school. I nee

Abby's POV "Well, ladies, you did well tonight." Beau says to Kayla and me. I start laughing, "I'd say we have officially hit badass fighter status. We both managed to knock the pack Gamma on his ass!" Kayla and I laugh as we high five. Beau shakes his head and laughs, "I guess you have. I'm really proud of both of you". I give him a big hug, "Thanks dad number two! You have no idea how much you and mom number two mean to me!" Then I turn to Kayla, "I gotta get home and shower. I feel like I smell like a wet goat!" Kayla scrunches her nose, "Your feeling would be correct". We both laugh as I walk out. I text my dad letting him know I'm on my way home. He hates it when he doesn't know when to expect me home. It's only two blocks, but he worries. Five minut

"Mom, if I have to wear a dress for my birthday, I would prefer this one" I say as I hold up a knee-length, off-shoulder black gown with sequined accents around the neckline. We have been arguing about the dress for 20 minutes. Every time I would try one on, one of us would gush over it while the other three would scrunch their noses. I was really getting tired of trying on dresses. Suddenly a saleslady comes over with a dress that is in a black garment bag, "Ladies! I have the perfect compromise for all of you! This gown has a little bit of everything each of you want. Plus, it's an original design by one of our employees. No one else has ever worn this dress!" Leah's eyes light up, "That's what is going to set her apart from every other young lady on Earth that day!" I roll my eyes and follow the saleslady to the dressing rooms. As she unlocks one of them, she hands me the dress and says, "This is the perfect compromise. It's floor length, so your mother will be ha

It has been four days since my shopping trip, and I am really starting to dread my birthday. I had a particularly hard day at school today. I managed to get supper fixed, then limped up to my room before my parents got home. I know I have some broken ribs and my leg is broken from being kicked and stomped on by Dina and her groupies. She kept saying something about me trying to take Adam from her. I tried telling her I don't want him, but she didn't believe me. I look in the mirror and my face is really bruised up too. One eye is swollen shut, my nose is broken, and my lip is split. Thank Goddess for werewolf healing. I should look normal by morning. I just need to stay away from my parents until morning. I change into a tank top and shorts and sit at my desk to do some homework when my phone vibrates. It's Kayla: K: How are you feeling? M: Hurting like hell, but I should be better by morning. K: I told dad you wouldn't be able t

I wake up at 6am, on my own, wondering why my mom didn't wake me up before she went to work. I smell the air in myroom, and it smells like someone has been in here. Specifically, it smells like Adam's scent. But why would he be in here? It makes no sense at all. I go to stretch and feel a pain in my ribs. I guess those aren't completely healed yet. Maybe I should think about staying home from school today so I can at least start my birthday injury-free. I walk downstairs and find my parents in the kitchen drinking coffee. I look at them with a confused look. Might as well tell them about my suspicions. "Morning," I start as I pour a cup of coffee, "I had a reallyweirdnight last night. That was all I heard from her and I was glad for it.   I picked up my phone again and pulled up th

Twenty Years Later I’m sitting in my favorite spot with my mate sitting behind me in my favorite lounge chair. We are both drinking our morning coffee as two mountain lions walked up to the deck. They both bowed to us, and I smiled, “Good morning, Dusty. Good morning, Lilly.” Dusty found his mate in his own pack on his sixteenth birthday. We had a party for him that night and he introduced her to all of us. She is such a sweet girl I really couldn’t wish for anything better for him. Robert and Katie are so proud of them. They had four children and they only have two still at home. I am so proud of the parents they are. The two children that have already found their mates and left are absolutely awesome. Linden found his mate and decided to build another house close to our land. His mate understands that he needs to be close to family and his siblings are all he has left. His father passed away when my triplets were only two years old. It was an extremely hard time for him. We made s

Robert and Katie laughed and shook their heads as Robert smiled, “Now that would make me rethink my choice to be a parent.” I laughed, “I think she did.” Just then, Calista ran out onto the deck, “Good morning, mom.” She sat in my lap and hugged me tightly. I turned her around and introduced her to them. She smiled, “It’s very nice to meet my Uncle Dusty’s parents. I love him so much!” Katie smiled, “I’m so glad you love him, Calista.” I asked Calista, “Is anyone else up?” She smiled, “Dad is up with Raze and Eva.” I laughed, “Is Willow awake yet?” She shook her head, “She was sleeping peacefully when I came out.” I smiled, “Thank you. I guess you would like some breakfast, huh?” She smiled and shook her head shyly. I smiled, “Okay.” Then I turned to Robert and Katie, “Would you like to join us?” They agreed and followed me and Calista into the house. I cooked a big breakfast and had it all laid on the table. As soon as it was all prepared, it sounded like a herd of horses coming down

When Taylor was done feeding the boys, Evan and I took the boys in the living room to visit with everyone else. Uncle Dax was the first to hold out his arms. Evan smiled as he held out the first baby boy, “You are now holding Cain, and the boy mom is holding is Dylan.” After Doctor Harper was done with Taylor, I walked with her to another guest room in the house and smiled, “I remember how all I wanted after all that was to take a shower. Is that what you would like?” She replied, “Definitely.” I smiled, “You go ahead and take a shower. That shower has a bench in it so you can sit. I would highly recommend using it. I will get you some clothes.” I opened the closet door and found a perfect pair of soft sweatpants and a t-shirt that looked lusciously oversized. I grabbed a pair of underwear and a bra and put them on the bed. When Taylor walked out of the bathroom in a towel, I asked, “Feeling better?” She smiled, “That did feel better.” I got you a comfy pair of sweats and an oversized

Seven months later… Taylor and Evan are staying in the guest house with dad and Linden. Taylor wants me to be there for her when she gives birth. She’s afraid Evan is going to pass out. Evan agrees with her, but he still wants to be there for her and to see his babies being born. He swears we will try his hardest to stay conscious. We all laugh and Elliot smiles, “I don’t blame you, dude. I almost passed out a few times.” We were all eating breakfast one morning when Taylor gasped, “Oh dear. I’m pretty sure I’m in labor.” I smiled, “Evan, you need to be keeping track of how far apart the contractions are. Let us know when they are around five minutes apart. Taylor, you need to tell him when each contraction starts and ends. Okay?” She nodded in reply and I called Doctor Harper. Doctor Harper said she would start driving here now, so we will be ready. Wow. The whole family showed up! Within 2 hours, Elliot and I were sitting in the living room with dad, my mom, Evan’s parents, Aidint

I laughed, “I understand completely.” Calista smiled, “I can sing for you, Uncle Dusty.” He looked at me and I nodded, “Trust me… You want to hear this.” Dusty nodded, “I would love to hear you sing.” Calista started singing the most beautiful and relaxing song I have ever heard and Dusty looks so relaxed and happy. When the song ends, Dusty chuckles, “Calista, you are awesome!” She smiles proudly, “I’m a mermaid/wolf hybrid and an omega. My mom and dad rescued me from my old alpha. He kept me in a tiny room under the stairs in his packhouse. He was planning on marking and mating me. They rescued me just in time.” Dusty asked, “What happened to your family?” She looked down at her hands in her lap, “My old alpha killed my parents and my brother. My parents hid me, but I saw him rip my brother’s head off. But I have mom and dad now and I have the best family ever. I have LOTS of uncles and grandparents and now I have a brother and SISTERS! I really am a lucky girl.” Dusty pulled her clo

One week later… Mom spent the night with us last night because mommy, daddy and sister all needed to get a full night of sleep. We were all starting to get quite cranky. I don’t think I was ever more thankful for my mom when she offered to stay overnight. After feeding the babies at eight pm, I went straight to bed. I think Calista went to bed before I did and Elliot was waiting for me in bed when I got there. We all slept like rocks and I didn’t wake up the entire night. It was my best night’s sleep since the night before I gave birth to all of them. Don’t get me wrong, I love all three of my newborns. But they are definitely little sleep robbers! Ladies, let me give you a bit of advice. When other women tell you to sleep when they sleep, LISTEN! Trust me, it makes perfect sense. If the things you need to do can wait, do it. They have been wearing us all out. Raze has an insatiable appetite. We were at the grocery store yesterday, and a little older lady heard Raze’s hungry screams.

I held her close to me, “I don’t care how many little girls we give birth to; you will always be our baby girl. You just won’t be the only one anymore. Okay?” She smiled as she snuggled closer to me, “I like that idea.” I smiled, “Me too.” Then I asked her, “What do you think of being a big sister now that you’ve seen your new brother and sisters?” She giggled, “I am going to have so much fun. Especially with Eva! She’s like me!” I started yawning and Elliot sighed, “Are you ready to get some sleep, love?” I shrugged, “Yeah, I better sleep while I can. Doctor Harper left some formula on the counter with the bottles. There are plenty of diapers in the nursery next to our room. Would you please turn on the baby monitor before you come to bed?” Elliot smiled, “We have plenty of help, love.” I reminded him, “Doctor Harper told me to alternate between formula and breast milk. Next feeding, you all can feed them, but please wake me to feed them when they wake to eat after that.” Mom nodded,

I suddenly felt fear wash over me and I was almost paralyzed. What if I’m a horrible mom? I mean I would never do what Dahlia did to me, but what if I don’t develop that mother-child bond? I’m scared to death but then Elliot leans to comfort me and says in low voice into my ear, “You’re going to be fine, love. You are nothing but kind and nurturing. You’ve worked wonders with Calista. You have nothing to fear, baby. You also have tons of help at your fingertips.” I smiled as he kissed my forehead, “You always know exactly what I need to hear. I love you so much.” With that, I felt my stomach get tight and I lifted my torso to bear down, pushing to help our first baby through the birth canal. Doctor Harper encouraged, “That was a really good one, Elisa. Need another push.” Another contraction hit and I started pushing again. I was pushing and felt a sudden reduction in pressure. Doctor Harper smiled, “Here is your prince!” Our little boy started wailing as his father cut the cord, “He’

I sat in the living room with my feet up with dad, Elliot, Evan, Linden and Max. I was trying to relax, but my back started hurting. The ache started moving around to my belly and I could feel my belly squeezing tightly. It wasn’t so painful that it was alarming, it just really caught my attention. I raised my shirt to expose my belly as another contraction hit. As my belly contracted, I tapped Elliot to get his attention. As we both looked down at my belly, Elliot gasped as the babies were clearly visible as my belly squeezed around them. He asked, “That looks like it hurts so bad, and you are just sitting there looking at it. You are tougher than I am.” I laughed, “My back hurts worse than my belly.” Doctor Harper walked in, “Don’t get used to it. It won’t stay this way.” I looked up at her, smiling, “It will all be worth it. I can’t wait to meet them.” Doctor Harper smiled, “You are going to be such a great mother.” I asked, “Do you think a numbing spell would be a good idea?” She
