"Effie?"

I looked up and saw Athena at my door. I pulled out my earphone. "Yeah, what's up?"

I stared at her, studying her, and realized she looked different, not in the way of her hair or if she put make-up on, but something about her shone as if she was glowing.

"What are you doing?" She entered my room and pretended she hadn't seen it in years.

"My study guide."

She nodded her head. "Do you have plans today?"

I pin my eyes on her as she walks around my room like a museum of things she has already seen. "Yeah, I'm doing something with Lily at her house later tonight." I can't tell my sister that Lily will meet the groom-to-be. That would shock her.

But something is amiss here. Why is my sister just came to my room and have a small chat? I know she's been busy working at the senior homes and with Rex, but it feels weird.

"Thea, you okay?" I finally asked her.

"Mmh..." is what she gave me. "Oh! Yeah, I'm fine. Fine. I want to hang out with my baby sister, that's all."

I began packing for some things needed when I headed to Lily's house. I grabbed my make-up bag when my phone chimed.I saw a text from Logan that he was outside in the car. I text him back that I'll be there in a second.Once I got everything in my backpack, I was not giving away that I was going to Lily's house to change into a formal attire professionally made by Aunt Nicky. I didn't want to make everyone, including Logan, suspicious of me. I have to act natural.I left my room and saw the TV on with Ares sleeping. His snoring made me chuckle, and Athena was in the kitchen preparing to bring some ingredients to Wolfe's house."Effie, how long will you stay at Lily's house?""Not long, but I promise to be home by 10.""Well, if it's homework, then it's okay. Just let me know you are going home late.""Yes, mom," I said that as sarcasm, but learning about her pregnancy wasn't a joke. "So, are you going to tell Rex tonight?"She sighed, looking at the bag of stuff. "Not yet. I plan to

A day before the dinner party at Lily's grandparents' house. I saw Lena at her company, which wasn't so bad. After I talked to Athena about my encounter with a famous producer, she was thrilled. She decided to take a paternity test for the results of her baby's father. I have never seen my sister look as nervous as ever, which was rare coming from a sister who could speak her mind. "Now, who's sulking?" I retort the words on my own to Lily, who today isn't in her best mood since that night. We are at our usual hang-out, and Lily doesn't seem hungry. "You haven't touched your food." Lily stayed in silence, staring off into space. I know that look. I had that look. I invented that look. Well, actually, no, but I was in that state. When she and I went to that dinner party, her grandparents' host. They introduced us to the Naval family, the groom's family. Then during dinner time, Seema, Lily's grandmother, was introduced along with her husband Vishal Haasan with the rest of the gue

After spending time with Odin, I learned about his life, and he was born and raised in London. But the topic of his family made his expression fall, and his tone changed. Odin never talked about his family, and hearing about his wife and son leaving his life made me realize we are the same. He blames himself for his wife's death and his son leaving home when he was sixteen because of a huge argument.Odin regretted that day and wanted to make amends, but he had no clue where his son was. The only thing he last heard was he had moved to California."So, this whole time, you have not found him?" I asked.Odin loft his tea and elegantly took a sip like he was royalty. "I had Terry look for him."I learned that the severe-looking bodyguard is named Terry Young."It's no wonder I don't see him here with you. He's like a magnet keeping a watchful eye on anyone close to you.""Are you interested? Terry is single." He said. "Shy with the women, but he's a good guy."I shook my head vigorous

"You must sound macho when playing a palace guard, Logan.""Baby girl, I'm trying, but this role does not fit my image."A few months have passed, and Logan and I's relationship is strong.Every day we hung out at his house or mine. But I prefer he and I stay at my home. His brothers would be there, eavesdropping on us that mostly on Seth. Every minute would have passed, and Seth bothered us. Asking us random questions or asking us if we want something to eat. He even disrupted my heat of passion moment with Logan in his brother's room just inches away from having our clothes off then...BAM!Seth burst in like a fucking SWAT, then apologized for his intrusion.Athena is always working late, double shift at the nursing homes, and Ares will be with his drinking buddies at the bar or their home. I'm home alone with a boy with no interruptions. "Image? They are just characters. You're just mad you are playing a guard. In the movie, they aren't even attractive.""Am I hot? Or sexy?" It d

Logan always makes me feel so childish inside. He wakes the bright side of me, the best side, all the facets of myself that only require love to be healthy and whole. Love - is a powerful word and can be frightening too. Should I have eternity to be with this guy, I would sink into serenity, just content to close. Our energy vibrates in a unique way, each the perfect compliment to others. Logan is what makes my heart strong. His smile alone burnishes my soul into a beauty it could never have achieved on its own. When Logan looked at me, it was as if every once of breath was taken from my lungs. It floats into the air like midnight smoke. The world stopped every time he kissed me, leaving just the two of us to wander the earth together. Every time he held my face between his hands. It felt like he was untying all the knots. Holding me for eternity in the arms I've grown so accustomed to. This is what falling in love was like a story you never wanted to end. For so long, I had longed f

"Great job," Lena told me over the speaker.I pulled down the large headphone panting with a dry throat. "Thanks, Lena.""Come have a drink, and we can continue next weekend."I hung the headphones and went to the recording room's small lounge. Lena hands me room-temperature water. It quenched my thirst and almost had me finish the bottle."Although you aren't officially a trainee, it seems that you don't need the voice lessons." Lena pours a small liquid bottle into an electronic cigarette. She saw me stare at her and then at the pencil size device. "Oh? Chris wanted me to quit smoking and insisted I do water vapor.""Your six-year-old son told you that?""He may be in elementary school, but that boy has an adult brain."I laughed, taking another drink to moistenmy throat."He told me his teacher taught his class that smoking is bad and can cause cancer." She groaned, rolling her eyes while taking a inhale of the vape. "Chris is scared I might die soon if I don't stop.""Well, they

I waved once more, leaving the building. I saw Wolfe's share of the Hummer vehicle. I climb inside, kissing Logan or two. As I unbuckle my seat belt, I find Nina watching us from inside through the glass walls like a creepy girl you see in those scary ass movies. She just stood there looking at us. I felt the unfeeling vibe getting goosebumps on my bumps, and the tiny hairs on the back of my head went up."Baby girl, you okay?"Logan's voice snapped my senses as I gave him a nervous smile. "Oh, nothing. Just thinking.""Oh, okay, what do you want for dinner?""Anywhere is fine.""You know I heard Jordan's family have a diner.""The first day you got here, you do not have once eaten there?""Hey, this is the first time I heard of it." He protested. He started the drive hitting the freeway."Well, you are missing out, baby boy," I tease him. "Their burgers are Magnifique.""Oh my god, I love it when you speak another language. "Girl, when are you and Logan going to throw it down," Clark asked.Today it's just Clark and me at the library for once. Lily is busy with the arranged marriage and goes on a date with Kareem while she still thinks of Liam. The whole not-virgin-anymore freaked her out, and she's between two guys who she can't handle. As for Odin, I haven't seen him for days. He's probably with a lady friend he told me about and having lunch together someplace.I groaned, scratching my head. "I've been trying to throw it down, but he keeps getting distracted, and there are also interruptions," ie. Seth. I groaned to myself. When I couldn't concentrate on the math homework, I threw my pencil, making a growling noise when the librarian shushed me. "What am I doing wrong? Is it me? Hello to my readers! This chapter is the last chapter for LOGAN and just to warn you it's a bit longer and I don't want to split it in half because this is an epilogue. I deeply apologize and would like to say thank you for joining me on this journey with completing book 1 of The Wolfe Brothers series. See you guys in book 2! It had been a week since the incident with Heather, and I was ready to return to school, acting as if nothing had happened. The next day I treated it like any other ordinary day. Forget about the past and move on with the future. After spending my recovery at my grandfather's home for a week, some students think I had an accident. Although I'm healed, I had to get a weekly check-up to see if I'm fully recovered to do anything. I contacted Lena and told her part of the truth as to why I was missing that weekend, and she forgave me and requested I work extra hard. It turned out she will be planning to have my EP album out soon for Christmas with original song

"Effie, what's wrong, baby?" Logan came out of the bathroom as quickly as he saw me taking out the comforters. My leg throbs, but I didn't want to leave my virgin blood on the silk covers."We need to burn these sheets," I said, struggling to remove the comforters while naked, and Logan was enjoying the view. "Can you not stare and help me.""I could see this every day," he smirked, leaning on the bathroom door frame - naked. His cock was still erect after making love."Why don't you take a picture?" I told him with a grunt."Why should I when I have the real deal," he chuckled."Logan, please help. I just had sex with you for the first time, and I'm a bit sore down there." I hissed from a slight pang. "Oh... Wow""Yeah, you will get used to that," he chuckled and was amused by my glare. "Here, let me do it-," Logan said as he tried to take the blanket, but I jerked it away."Go take the other end.""Damn, you're so bossy. Did our lovemaking change you?" He asked as a joke."No, it's

Logan got off the bed, removing his pants and boxers, while I quickly did the same with my clothes and took off my bra and underwear. I sat naked on the bed, staring at the beautiful creature.Logan stood there all whole naked specimen looking mighty fucking fine. Logan was a living working art, his olive skin so tempting to touch. Every move gave away his strength. Every inch of his body was drool-worthy; his abdomen was a sculpture to perfection as his six-pack popped instantly, giving off the impression that he was reborn once again as a Hawaiian God. In his past life, he must have been a warrior, strong and loyal. His biceps were the size of my head. For an eighteen-year-old guy, he worked pretty hard to earn those muscles. But what caught my attention was his cock that sprung. I swallowed hard as my eyes grew wide. I know what I'm getting myself into, but should I wait? His cock was huge, and I didn't think it would fit me.Logan took something from his wallet that appeared to b

I gaze at the girl in the mirror. The looking glass wall-mounted, encircled by a frame of threadlike strands of silver, interlaced together in a mock-cable arrangement. The luminosity of the light shone through the whole bathroom as I studied myself. After a long shower, I called for cleansing. Three days I have not bathed, and it's revolting.I turned over, wiped the fog off the mirror, and stood there looking at myself, taking in every detail, shape, size, and color. The mirror shows me what the whole world can understand. A girl with scars, long black hair, and silver eyes; covered in scars and the faded purple bruise around my abdomen where Heather kicked me at the same place. It doesn't hurt nearly as much now.Everything I've been through since that accident was full of fright, frustration, and loneliness. Then through my teenage years, however lonely, isolated, and neglected by others who saw me as a threat. Meeting Lily changed my thoughts about people; we became loyal friend

While the mood goes too emotional, I spotted Terry not getting into this happy moment. I pulled back from the family hug. "Hey guys, can you leave for a moment? I want to talk to Terry."Everyone saw how serious my tone was and walked out. Before he left with the others, Logan planted a quick kiss and told me he would be outside if I needed anything.Once everyone left as Logan closed the door. It was just Terry and me.I say straight up as Terry stands there with his hands behind his back. It was quiet and awkward. Honestly, I'm nervous, but I got to let it all out and ask. I want to know if Terry's the person from my childhood. Pivoted flashbacks in my mind as I remembered the older girl."Terry?""Yes?" He answered formally.Where are you from?"London.""You don't have an accent. Where were you born there?""No."I bite my lower lip. "Okay, where were you born?""Long Beach."I inhaled and let out the air. "Have you lived in a foster home with a family called the Brayden?"I waite

Tears were falling from my eyes before Athena said the words. "But dad said his parents died. How? How can this be?""You know dad didn't like to talk about his family," Ares said with a snort. "He makes things up to lie.""Effie," sat back down, taking my hand while Odin had the other. "I know it's a shock to you, but think about it. The time you spend with him, don't you feel a connection when you spend time with me? Most people say he's the spitting image of me."I thought about it the first time I met Odin at the bus stop trying to go home. "At first, I thought he was stalking me."A snort was made, and I saw it was coming from Seth, who pursed his lips. Terry stared at him and glared. Don hit his older brother in the head, making Seth snarl at his younger brother."I only followed you because I thought I saw a replica of my Lorraine," Odin added. "Athena looks like your mom, Ares has your dad and mine good looks, but you," he touches my chin gently on his fingers. "You have your

"Oh my god, Effie," Thea was the first to embrace me with her fragile-yet strong arms. She squeezes me. "Thea, I can't breath."Thea did not answer but only felt her body shaking uncontrollably; I know it was not the pregnancy but her fear of losing her baby sister and another family member.I rubbed her back and laid my head on hers as she cried softly."I was so worried about you," she sniffled and pulled back. Her silver eyes were moist with tears. Twelve years ago at The Brayden's Home - Foster Home. "Haha," Kenny laughed, pointing a finger at me. "You are a nobody and were left here. Nobody wants you." I hugged my legs, hiding behind the house of The Brayden, owned by George and Maggie Brayden. They were friendly, but the way they greeted me felt like those weirdo parents who kept their children sanitized from everything they touched. George was no muscle but short and tubby-like a gnome with a Super Mario mustache, and Maggie wore heavy make-up looking like 99 cents cheap doll. They were friendly, but I felt uncomfortable talking to them. Since I arrived without Ares and Athena because they were sent to different homes, I was scared. I was alone for the first time. "Look at those ugly scars! Ewww!!" He and the other kids older than me chorus, looking disgusted at my accident scars. I tried to cover them up, but my body was so small I could go up and run away. I went inside, and they followed me into the house and called m
