PART 70

[Narrator's POV]

After the defenders had prepared for the impending battle, they regrouped at the training ground. Their determination to defeat the dark lord and his servants, especially Raiden, who had lost the woman he loved, was palpable.

“Um, Raiden,” Blaze approached the guy who was in the middle of his training. He was trying to concentrate on hitting the small spot on the wall, a few meters away from him. He didn’t utter any response, which left the female defender down.

Blaze thought that maybe at some point, Raiden wanted to blame her for Fraise’s death, that she should be the one who died instead. She knew it isn’t right for her to have such a negative thought, especially during this time when they were just about to face their enemies. She couldn't also deny the fact that if only she became a much braver person at that moment, then maybe she could have saved her comrade. But it's indeed too late for her to think about the flaws that have happened.
