Wilbur stared at Orkus wordlessly. Despite not knowing if Orkus was powerful enough to be a master, just watching him interact with his brother Orkot alone made him look a little evil and cunning. "What are you thinking about?" "What? Nothing." "Alright." Orkus put a hand on Wilbur's shoulder. "Since I'm your master now, let me start teaching you. It's impossible for someone from the Light World to harness energy from the Dark World unless they find a dimension rift where energies from both worlds somehow manage to connect. You must first understand the true meaning of darkness if you want to master dark energy. Tell me, Wilbur. What is there in darkness?" Wilbur shook his head. "There's nothing in darkness at all." "Well, that may be one way of seeing it. Remember this: there's also coldness, loneliness, and resentment. These are all elements that can help one bring out powerful dark energy." Orkus stretched out his right hand, and a ball of dark energy appeared in the m
Wilbur stared blankly at Orkus, who merely blinked. The very next second, there was a black dragon in the air behind Orkus. The black dragon soared around in the air, before leaping toward Wilbur, letting out a roar of fury barely a few meters before it reached him. It dissolved into black miasma after that. Orkus looked at Wilbur with a smile. "You sure look glum! Did you think I was going to teach you the cultivation method? Well, you'd be foolish to think so. Remember this: you can learn cultivation methods on your own. Once you're able to harness dark energy, you'll automatically learn lots of cultivation methods. So, I'm telling you that harnessing dark energy is the most important part. I only give the best to my pupils, and I don't want to teach you those cultivations that are bound by all sorts of restrictions. Got it?" "Got it. Thank you, Master." Wilbur was enlightened by Orkus' words. Indeed, cultivation methods had their restrictions. Learning the most essential mov
Adam gritted his teeth, balling his hands into fists as he stared at Wilbur through bloodshot eyes. "You bastard! You're the reason I ended up here! I was supposed to live! You're the reason my mother had to grieve for my death! This is all your fault, and only by killing you will I soothe the pain in my chest. You're f*cking dead!" Adam shot out toward Wilbur, who came charging with his sword as well. A sword aura flashed in the air, and Adam's body turned transparent as it struck him. The sword aura passed through Adam's body like he was not even there, landing on a nearby building instead. The building crumbled at once as its residents cried out in terror. Their screams eventually stopped as the building collapsed into a pile of dust and debris. Adam glanced at the collapsed building, suddenly lighting up with glee and joy. "Ha, Wilbur! You've always been proud of standing for justice and goodness, but now you've killed a bunch of innocent civilians. Where did that goodwill
Adam looked up to see Wilbur hovering in mid-air, a gigantic dark cloud looming above his head. There seemed to be a dragon weaving in and out of the cloud, letting out a series of cries and howls. The dark cloud rumbled with dull thunder, and Adam gritted his teeth as he looked on viciously. "How… How are you able to become so powerful? Your aura, your power…. No! None of this should be happening, you should be the one to die!" Adam's gaze suddenly turned eerily firm as he spat, "I'm going to kill you if it's the last thing I do, Wilbur Penn. You destroyed everything I had, all of it. Why is it that you get to grow more and more powerful, but I'm forever stuck in this boring, wretched dimension? Arghhhh!" Adam let out a cry of fury, and a fierce wind kicked up to surround him. Cracks appeared in the ground, as streams of black liquid began to trickle and gather around Adam before melding into him. Adam continued absorbing the black streams. It was not long before they were dra
If this went on, all the energy in the liquid ball would be gone in a matter of minutes and it would be a walk in the park to kill Adam then. The thought made Wilbur rather pleased, but it did not last very long before the liquid ball came hurtling toward the thunder dragon above it. The liquid ball seemed to be hellbent on a fight to the death, crashing into the thunder dragon directly. The thunder dragon dove into the liquid ball at the last second, exploding inside it. A deafening sound rang through the air as a powerful wave of energy spread out. The explosion drained half of the liquid ball's energy, which Wilbur was overjoyed to see. After all, that would mean that half of Adam's powers had been drained. Just then, Adam's face appeared on the surface of the liquid ball as he glowered at Wilbur murderously. "I'll make sure I kill you today even if it's the last thing I do!" "Oh, yeah? Why don't you give it a try?" The face disappeared off the liquid ball after Adam's wor
"What? How could this be? You bastard, what did you do?" Adam cried out. Fear overtook him as he continued shrieking, "How did you manage to drain my energy like this? No, this can't be!" The dark aura condensed as Adam made a last-ditch attempt at getting his energy back, but he quickly realized that he was unable to do so. "Get out of my way!" Adam roared, hurling Wilbur out of the liquid ball. Dozens of tentacles stretched out of the ball in mid-air, their tips razor-sharp as they sliced at Wilbur relentlessly. The dozens of tentacles covered the space around Wilbur, and there was no escaping for him now. "You're dead, Wilbur Penn!" Adam laughed wildly, before letting out a roar of fury as the tentacles closed in on Wilbur. Yet Wilbur did not seem scared at all, muttering a spell as he activated Aura Return and appearing a hundred meters above Adam the next second. "What? Where did he go? Where's Wilbur, where's Wilbur Penn?" Wilbur had vanished before Adam's very ey
The ball of black liquid exploded as Adam cried out in agony. Black miasma rose into the air before promptly disappearing, and pure, clean water rained down on the town. The golden dragon flew above the town, letting out a roar. Its powerful dragon aura filled the air as the townsfolk forged out of black miasma and disappeared out of sight. Peace was restored in Bruille Town again. Wilbur, whose body had been drained of spirit energy, fell from mid-air onto the center of the town square. He promptly passed out, only waking up two days later. Despite the fact that Wilbur could activate the eighth level of the Dragon Move through cultivation, the Dragon Move itself was a very demanding cultivation method where the higher the level activated, the more spirit energy it would drain out of the cultivator. Even though he had cultivated up to the Dragon's Wrath, Wilbur could only activate half of the fire dragon's power. Even then, doing so had drained his body completely of spirit e
There were twelve Immortals in the universe, which meant that there would be twelve evil gods in the chaotic realm. The chaotic realm and the universe were not completely separated, as both shared dimensions as well. Those twelve Immortals had appeared in this overlapping dimension, as did the ancient formation that unlocked the positions of the twelve evil gods. The Dark Lord had not known about this at first and was delighted to find out about it. The twelve positions of the evil gods proved that evil gods were cultivators who ascended, which meant that the Dark Lord had the choice to not be a slave to someone else. The Dark Lord firmly believed that being a servant meant that you were restricted under the control of another, despite how powerful you became. However, being a powerful cultivator was a different case where you would have all the control you wanted. No one wanted to be a servant or a slave. There were countless cultivators in the middle and upper dimensions who
