Chris stood at the front of his classroom, the morning sun filtering through the windows, casting a warm glow on the eager faces of his students. As he explained a complex physics concept, he noticed their eyes light up with understanding, and he felt a familiar surge of satisfaction. Teaching had always been his dream, a passion he had nurtured since childhood. But no matter how fulfilling his job was, a shadow always lingered in the back of his mind.

His baby sister, Emily, was miles away, and the thought of her absence never truly left him. Even now, as he spoke about Newton's laws of motion, his thoughts occasionally drifted to her, wondering how she was doing, what she was feeling, if she missed him as much as he missed her.
