The next day dawned with a sense of unease for Emily. She had noticed Kamsy's behavior growing colder, his interactions with her becoming more distant and terse. It was as if a wall had been erected between them overnight, and she had no idea why.

Emily spent the morning attempting to engage Kamsy in conversation, but his responses were clipped and his eyes never quite met hers. Frustration and confusion gnawed at her. She knew their argument the previous night had been intense, but she had hoped they could move past it. Clearly, that wasn't happening.

By midday, Emily decided she needed answers. She sought out Amy, hoping she could shed some light on Kamsy's sudden change in behavior. Amy was in the kitchen, humming softly as she prepared lunch.

"Amy," Emily began hesitantly, "can I talk to you for a minute?"

Amy turned, her face lighting up with a warm smile. "Of course, Emily. What's on your mind?"
