The morning sun cast a soft glow over the mansion as Emily prepared for school. She felt a mixture of excitement and apprehension, her mind still replaying the events of the previous evening. She dressed quickly, choosing a simple but comfortable outfit, and made her way downstairs. Kamsy was already waiting by the car, a concerned expression on his face.

As they drove towards the school, Kamsy glanced at her repeatedly, his eyes searching for answers. “Emily,” he began, his voice soft but insistent, “about yesterday… You seemed really off when we got back. Did something happen? Why did you pull away so suddenly?”

Emily bit her lip, trying to find the right words. She didn’t want to burden Kamsy with her confusion and doubts. “I’m sorry, Kamsy,” she finally said, forcing a smile. “I was just feeling a bit overwhelmed, that’s all. It’s nothing serious, really.”
