3 Ghost in Stoll's heart

Everyone one was busy making their way to new career, Adair also need his confidential man as every person besides him is loyal to his brother here in this world he has grudges.

Gatlin is different from last 6 years he had already placed his trustful mans around his father, before he did it for finding someone. He did not find people but they are useful here he has confident he will win but deep inside he doesn’t want to do what that man wants.

There is only two days for voting date, Ford invited him for advance celebration. Adair came after 10 years he have extra-ordinary achievements in Army but Politics is different. Today Ford is not alone his elder son Ashford is also there, there is only 1 year difference between them.

Not much in country A know about Ashford, what everyone knows is Ashford is out of Country because he is Artist loves drawing need peace but reality is different when Ashford was 11 years he got into an accident. He was in coma for 3 years after he woke up doctor diagnosis that in his brain a clot of blood remains which is difficult to operate. the result is he can’t get stress or do heavy work.

In Dining hall everyone gets their sit; Ford is the happiest even more then Gatlin he knows Gatlin is just his puppet ‘He will rule again’ everyone was eating their food Mrs Madison keeps serving food to Ashford saying he is thin should eat more her love for Ashford is showing on her face.

Gatlin is silent just eating own, not bothering if Mrs Madison didn’t even see him like he is used to his mother not loving him. Ford is talking to him he will answer in perfunctory or add one or two more words. But listing to Mrs Madison’s nagging for Ashford he lost his appetite for food.

“I have to do some preparation I am leaving you all enjoy” Ford just smiled, other consider him as air Gatlin did not mind when passing through garden, he saw a maid cutting plant he stops there looking that maid from behind than run her with speed, stop and hold her hand.

She was thinking something that’s why she did not feel a flower thorn pinched in her finger, Gatlin gently helps her to remove while childing her “what are you doing cutting, who cut plants in evening”.

Looking at maid she is Madison’s special maid uniform, in her mid-forties still beautiful “you didn’t eat much, I had made some extra dishes come and eat, you are thin” she said slowly but gently. Gatlin follows her in to kitchen through the back door.

Setting on kitchen counter Gatlin was just eyeing her, she is having shallow wrinkles but her face is still beautiful and gentle same as in his memories. That maid put some dishes in front of Gatlin not as rich as before but simple and Gatlin eat with relish, like after long time he is having real meal.

“That I saw your interview you were as handsome as always, I am proud of you” hearing what she is talking Gatlin did not reply just focused on food. “That… are you afraid?” this question stops him “no I am brave, what make you thinks that?” he replied with another question it’s a joke he ‘the Gatlin’ and afraid.

“I saw how you hold that young man’s hand tightly; you do that only when you are afraid” the maid who works for Madison knows Gatlin too well. He was indeed afraid; he was the first who hold tightly on Adair’s hand but Adair who was irritated did not notice even hold back.

On that moment they both hold back and gave strength to each-other subconsciously. But what Gatlin is afraid of?

One side Ford is celebrating, other side Stoll is equally furious.

“Tomorrow is election date what are you doing, I had already planned everything but you spoil it, don’t you want to win” he has made some charity and development plans but Adair is just siting-still. Stoll doing everything by his own, all Adair have to do is, stand beside him smiling but from last 5 days he refuses to step out of his room just sleeping.

“In army I didn’t have a good sleep for 10 years now just compensating myself” Adair is still relaxed there is a rare patience. One who know Adair knows he is not the man with patience.

“What you want; I am doing this for your, for our father’s incomplete dream” Stoll will not have anything making Adair President, they both are clear about this.

“You want Adams at top, even if you go back to your business, being president’s brother will help you”

“You….” Stoll is speechless now this is exactly what he is thinking, but if Adair doesn’t want to help, he would never promise, everyone knows Adair is a man who keep his word. “You want something from me” it’s not question, he is sure.

“That file” before Mr. Adams died he was investigation Caddel’s case, Caddel is Adair’s Late mother. He had some evidence in his hands, Adair even doubts that Mr Adams accidents wasn’t accident someone wants to stop him. That file has some leads which can help him but Stoll refused.

Now Stoll is silent he has a ghost in his heart, a secret which he is hiding from decade but he knows today or tomorrow Adair will get his hands over it, after being silent for few minutes he left house without altering a single word.

Adair looked Stoll’s fading back he always knows Stoll is not as simple as he looks, he has this doubt from the day Stoll forced him to stop and throw him to Army, that time his grandfather was also alive and he had the final say as he spoke him to go Adair has to obey but now, he is free no Stoll or any other can control him.

He knows Gatlin from childhood, if he became vice president no one can stop him only Gatlin, he can still investigate with Vice President’s power.

Stoll didn’t go to office but to a Villa in suburbs, he will come here whenever he wants to be alone. Stoll is a person with simple mind. A person as cunning as Adair can read his mind simply, he wants to save that person but it’s difficult what should he do. It’s not like he is going back from his responsibilities but giving justice to his father is also his responsibility.

After meditation for a long time Stoll made his decision its difficult but he can only stand one side. This time he is choosing later. He called Adair to his Suburb villa to have a brother to brother talk.
