Jenny

My frown never left my face while listening to this Michael. He likes Miracle and he followed her here just to be with her.

I can see that Lily is happy seeing him and it makes me piss.

While we are walking to our history class, Lily never paid attention to me; she's so occupied with Michael's presence.

"It's time for me to go. I'll see you later." Michael kissed Miracle's head "Take care, okay?"

Lily glared at him then she smiled "Later?"

"Kevin asked me to live in your apartment." He answered

Lily glared at Kevin "Whatever. Go! Shop!" She pushed Michael

Michael just laughed and walked away.

We resumed walking. I startled when someone held my hand.

"Can we talk?"

I bite my bottom lip, staring at Lily's hand holding mine.

"Why?"

She didn't answer, instead she said "Guys, you can go first, we just need to talk."

Rose and Jibee exchanged looks.

"Okay, but hurry up, okay? Class starts in five minutes."

Lily dragged me inside a restroom. She locked it and faced me.

"Is there something wrong?" Her soft voice made me calm

"Everything is fine." I half lied

I know something is wrong with my feelings and emotions but I don't know the reason.

"Did I do something wrong? I can see with your frown that there is something you didn't like. What is it?" She pushed the topic

I sighed; maybe I should tell her a certain thing that I am sure of.

"You ignored me when that Michael came. I don't know why but I hate it when you're not paying attention to me."

She was surprised at what I've said but she recovered with a smile.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know that you feel that way." She spread her one arm "Can I get a hug?"

No one made my heart beat this fast. Not even Raymond. No one made me feel this soft.

I hugged her and she wrapped her arm around me. It feels so comfortable.

"Let's go to class." She announced, releasing me from her warm hug

I already miss her warmth.

"You're scaring me." Rose threw a pillow to me while we are lying down on my bed

"What? Why?" I asked, glaring at her

"You're smiling like a psychopath there!"

I smiled even more "I'm just happy, Rose."

"I can see that, obviously! Care to share, why?"

Should I tell her? Of course, she's my best friend.

"It’s because of Miracle. She's making me feel comfortable and she's making me feel like I'm important to her."

Rose frowned "Do you like her?"

Do I? I'm still confused.

"Maybe? As a friend yes. She's kind, sweet and all but more than a friend? I don't know."

Rose moved closer to me. It looks like I got her attention.

"You think Lily feels the same way?" She wiggled her eyebrows

"I think? The night she saved me, she said that she felt a strong connection between us."

"Strong connection, huh?" Rose nodded her head "I think you have a crush on her."

"You think?"

"Yes."

"Don't you find it weird? I'm having a girl crush."

Rose shrugged "Why would I find it weird? Love is love, Jenny Fryxell."

I sighed "My parents will kill me if they find this out. I'm screwed."

"It's just a crush, Jen." Rose pinched my cheek "Get your ass off in here. You still have a date."

Lily

We arrived at my apartment; we were greeted with a delicious smell of roasted chicken.

"I think Michael is cooking." Kevin informed us

We dropped our bags on the couch and made our way to the kitchen.

Michael smiled at us while he's preparing our meal.

"It's too early for dinner." Jibee commented

"It's for you and Kevin." Michael informed us then we wrapped his arm around my shoulder "Lily and I are going out for dinner."

I frowned and looked at him "We are?"

"Yes, princess. I want to make it up to you."

"So, we have this roasted chicken just for the two of us?" Jibee excitedly asked

Kevin chuckled "You're lucky to taste Michael's cooking."

"Go to your room now, Lily. Your dress is waiting for you there. We'll leave at eight."

Jibee helped me to get dressed up and do my makeup. While she's curling my hair, Jenny came to my mind. I remembered our talk in the restroom. She's the cutest.

"Why are you smiling, young Miracle? Are you excited about this date?" Jibee saw me smiling

"Huh?"

"You're spacing out while you're having the brightest smile on your face."

"You look gorgeous, princess" Michael commented while looking at me "The dress is perfect on you." 

I won’t deny it, this rose laced white dress he bought for me is perfect. My cast is just not helping.

My cheeks blush "Thanks, Michael."

He extended his hand "Shall we?"

I smiled and held his hand "Let's go."

"Table for two for Mr. Michael." Michael said to the receptionist

"This way, sir."

Michael booked this dinner. I hate eating in this kind of place. Why do you have to pay for the expensive food when you can cook at home, right?

"Is that, Jenny?"

I looked where Michael was looking. There I saw Jenny looking at us with a frown.

I smiled at her but I received a glare in return.

What did I do this time? I'll just talk to her later.

We stopped at a candlelight table.

He really prepared this dinner.

He pulled the chair for me. I uttered "Thank you." Before I sat down

Michael called for the waiter. He asked me what I want and I decided to have what he gets.

While we were waiting for our food, I kept on glancing at Jenny who was engrossed in a conversation with Raymond. They laugh every now and then. Why do I feel so bothered seeing her with someone else?

"Are you okay, Lily?" Michael reached for my hand over the table "What's bothering you?"

I shook my head "I'm good. I guess I'm just starving."

My phone suddenly rang. I got it from my pouch and excused myself from Michael.

"Hello, daddy?"

"Mija, I'm just worried about your arm, are you sure you're okay?"

"I'm fine, dad. Sorry for being clumsy though. I'm with Michael actually; we're having dinner in this restaurant."

"Really? Are you giving it a shot again?"

"No, daddy, we’re just having dinner, that's all."

He laughed "Okay. Eat healthy, okay? You're having your operation in less than five months. I can't lose my princess."

"Yes, daddy. Kevin and Jibee are taking care of my meal every day. You sent Kevin to take care of me, right?"

"I'm glad that he's doing his job properly. I have to go mija. Take care. I love you."

"I love you too, dad."

After ending the call, my buzzed again but this time I received a message from Jenny.

'Meet in the restroom. I'm waiting.'

I smiled. I am going to see her again.

Before going to the restroom, I went to our table and informed Michael that I needed to go to the restroom.

Jenny was there, leaning against the cold wall, she didn't even notice that I entered because she's so occupied with her own thoughts.

I slowly closed and locked the door. I leaned beside her "What's wrong, Jenny?"

"Are you and Michael back together now?" That's the words came out to her mouth

"W...what? Of course not."

"Why are you here with him if not?"

"We haven't seen each other for a year; he's just making it up to me. He is more like a brother to me." I answered

Why is she even asking me these questions?

She nodded "Can I go to your apartment tomorrow after school? Exam is approaching, I haven't written your notes yet."

Smiles automatically invade my lips "Of course. How's your date with Raymond?"

"Just fine, he's really trying his best." She answered that made regret asking about it

"We should go now." I said, dismissing the thought

I was about to open when she said "You look gorgeous tonight, Lily."

I turned to face her "You too, Jen. My cast is just not helping."

She laughed then she leaned to kiss my cast, leaving a kiss mark on it "It will heal faster."

"Thank you. Can I get a hug before we separate?" I said, smiling hopefully she'll say yes

She spread her arms, waiting for me to hug her. I hugged her, this feeling while hugging is so comforting and warm.

We decided to go back to our date.

"Hmm! This food is really good."

Michael pinched my cheek "You're still the cutest. Don't worry; I'll cook for you everyday from now on."

I smiled at him brightly "Thank you! But please, make it healthier, I'm having my operation in five months."

He nodded "I will."

My mood lightened after I talked to Jenny. I'm glancing at her every now and then to check if she's okay. I'm glad that she's really enjoying Raymond's company though I don't want to see them together, why though?
