Chapter 135: Caught in the Act

"Thanks, my love," Luis appreciated and hugged her tightly. "What would you like to do? I will be working on my lead today in my basement?" he asked, still hugging her.

Rose shrugged her shoulder, "I would go to the hospital and check up on Lily?" she said with her head resting on Luis's shoulders while sitting on his lap and he was sitting on the edge of the bed.

"How about I drop you off and pick you up later in the day and we go somewhere nice?" Luis suggested, running his fingers through Rose's long hair.

Rose immediately felt guilty hearing Luis's suggestions. Usually, they would go together to see Lily before Luis we proceed to wherever he wanted to go but now he was going to drop her off at the hospital and pick her up later.

"Is he avoiding Lily because of her?" Rose thought and lifted her head to look at his face.

"Lily is our friend, you don't have to avoid her because of me," Rose said looking into his eyes.

"No, I am not avoiding her, I just have a lot to do today," he lied
