Chapter 101: I Remembered Something

Lyla came out of the bathroom wearing a bathrobe and a towel on her head to dry her hair. Her phone rang and she dropped the towel at the back of the study chair and searched her bag for her phone as her hair flowed down her shoulder partly dried.

She checked the screen, and it was Derry calling. She stared at his name flashing on her phone screen and she sat on her bed in frustration. She rubbed her temple and covered half of her face with her palm. The call dropped but before she could toss the phone away it started ringing again. It was Derry. She rolled her eyes and decided to answer the call.

"What do you want?" she said impatiently.

"Hey, love, slow down. What happened?" Derry asked with concern.

"Nothing, it's just that, this can't continue," Lyla retorted.
