Nina stood at the window sill of the bedroom that used to be Cody’s. She looked out the window and saw Mr. Whyte and Cara stealing out of the house, she wondered why they were going at the time of the night. It began to dawn on her that it had something to do with Cody, she grabbed her coat and was about to leave her room when Mrs. Whyte stepped in holding some medication.“Hey… are you stepping out?” She asked her smile fading into worry.“I just wanted to take some fresh air” she responded trying to not mention anything about Cody’s dad and sister.“It’s too cold outside what if you catch a cold, please don’t do that, don’t you like us? Eileen sized Nina from head to toe before extending her hand to receive the handshake Nina had offered. She quickly withdrew her hand and faked a smile and Nina found her behavior rather strange and so did Cecily. To Eileen, Nina was a plain Jane, too plain to be married to someone as charming as Cody.
