CHAPTER 5

SHEENA

When I exited the room, I took several deep breaths, even though my knees were trembling.

"You can do it, Sheena!" I told myself.

Before I arrived, I heard a few laughs from people who appeared to be having a good time.

I took a slight peek and my eyes widened to see what they were up to. They're having a drink with their other business partners.

Some are older, while others are in their mid-20s, and there is also a lot of smoke in the living room.

Ohmygod!

What's going on? Why are there so many people?

"Sheena,"

Tina caught my attention.

"There's something you don't know about your family," Tina said solemnly as she looked around the room.

"They are part of a group,"

I let out a long breath once I hear that.

Is this true?! They will not take part in such activity--

I was stunned and scratched my head because I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

"TWIN!"

I jumped at Shanna's scream, and she even smiled at me and pulled me suddenly, so I looked at Tina, who was just looking at me seriously.

"Oh, amigo, this is my daughter Sheena Carlos," mom said as she introduced me.

I wanted to be happy, but I knew they only did that because they sold me.

When I looked at them, I could see their eyes.

'My God, take care of me,' I prayed fervently before smiling bitterly at everyone.

"Oh, she's going to be my wife?"

When an old drunk man approached me and grabbed my wrist, I jumped.

"She is! The money you promised!" Dad exclaimed, laughing.

I bowed and shook my head.

"Come here, darling," he said as he drew me up and seated me next to him.

I was already trembling with fear. I'd like to leave. I want to escape.

"Twin! Try it! You'll love it!" Shanna said that as she handed me something.

W-What is it?

"Come on!" Shanna pushed me, but I just shook my head.

"Dad! Sheena doesn't want to do that!"

My eyes widened as I looked at dad, who was staring at me.

I was trembling with emotion and kept my mouth shut.

"Wife, go... You'll be fine there! I'll take you to heaven later!"

I was terrified when the old man touched me!

I just shook, but he grabbed my jaw and glared at me.

"Follow me or I'll kill you!" he threatened, making me cry even more.

"Do it!" he exclaimed, startling me, but I didn't respond.

After a while, the men with them approached me, and to my surprise, they held my hand.

The old man kissed me hard.

So I just sobbed.

Is it likely to happen again? Is this happening again?

I had just realized that the old man was grabbing my legs, so I avoided them.

"N-No..."

I avoided them because they were already drunk or high.

"P-Please..." I begged, but no one listened.

Oh no!

I inhaled deeply and kicked the man in front of me.

I pulled my arm away from them, stood up, and hugged my body. I imagined sprinting out of the mansion and being greeted by the wooded surroundings.

I was still looking around for a place to run, because I'm not afraid of running anywhere as long as I could get away from them.

I can only get away from hell!

I could hear my parents yelling at me as if they were chasing me, but I just kept running until I reached the forest courtyard.

"SHEENA!"

I didn't pay attention to my father's voice as long as I had nothing else on my mind but to run.

To escape from them... Away from that hellish place.

I was also stopped to recall Mother Esme and Tina.

I don't want to leave them, but it's the only way I can get away and get them back. And I knew they'd understand what I did.

I looked near to the mansion and wiped away my tears before considering running again, but then stepped aside when Shanna appeared in front of me, pointing a gun.

Badump...Badump...Badump...

"Twin, where do you think you're going?"

I backed away until I couldn't move any further...

No way... They caught me!

I sobbed and embraced myself. I'm at a loss for what to do!

"Hold her!" my twin sister ordered the person behind me, so I was taken aback when the two men grabbed both of my arms.

"So.. Where are you going, twin?" Shanna asked, smirking.

I took a deep breath and struggled against those who were holding me.

"Please let me go! I don't want to live like this any longer!" I pleaded as I struggled.

Shanna laughed and gave me a hard stare.

"Do you think I'll let you do that?! You can only get out of here when you're dead!" she exclaimed, laughing.

I don't know about my twin. What can I do to use it to know her? If only she hadn't been so far away. If she treats me as if I'm an enemy.

"Please, Shanna..."

"No! I said no!! You're not getting out of here alive! KILL HER!" she yelled. As a result, my eyes widened.

Badump. . .Badump. . .Badump. . .

Please, oh please... Allow me to leave...

I just shook my head and fought them.

"No! Let me go!! Let me go!" I cried, biting the hand of whoever was holding me so hard that he let go.

"Fvck!"

Shanna came at me aggressively and punched me in the stomach; I screamed and grabbed my stomach.

Even I was shaken by what she had done to me. I ran away from her faster. I could even hear her scream.

"FUCK! GO AFTER HER! DUMB PEOPLE!"

I didn't pay attention to that; I still continued to run, although so I was injured because of what I was going through.

I ran even faster after hearing gunshots.

I cut the tall grass while running because I know they'll catch up with me soon. Even if I fall, I don't let them chase me; I get up just to get away from them.

I couldn't bear the wounds and my crippled leg any longer, so I just kept running until I got out of the woods and there wasn't anyone chasing me.

I was just stunned to reach the highway... I'm not sure how long I've been walking on the side of the road or where I am.

My hair was messy and filthy because my entire face was covered in tears. I had many wounds and bruises all over my body, and my clothes were torn.

It was as if I was going to die of thirst and hunger.

I continued walking until I came to a cliff. I didn't think twice about going to the side to see how deep it was.

Once I feel a wind on my skin, I closed my eyes.

Is this how we feel when you're about to die, when the end is near?

I want to rest forever, despite everything I've been through. I want to disappear so that my pain will end.

I opened my arm to feel the wind.

"Thank you! Because you made me feel the coolness of the breeze and the world they say for a moment and I hope you don't let them suffer.. I hope they get out of that hell house because I might never get them back..."

I covered my mouth and cried. I just want them back because they are also my family, but I know I can't.

They won't stop looking for me if they find out I'm still alive.

And I know that no matter where I go, they will find me.

"I'm sorry, Mother Esme, and Tina; thank you for everything; thank you for all the stories and lessons you taught me; without you, I wouldn't be able to learn to write and read; I wouldn't be able to learn to have good manners.. Until we meet again.."

I smiled, wiped away my tears, and closed my eyes once again.

"This is the final one..."

I was about to jump when somebody suddenly hugged me and pulled me away from the edge.

"Damn!"

Even though my vision was blurry, I tried to see the person who had come to my rescue.

"Damn! Don't do that again! This is not the way for you to escape! I will help you! Fuck them!" angry yells from whoever I tried to reach his face with, despite my weakness.

And my tears continued to fall... I'm not sure why, and I was frightened like this really now...

I'm not ready to die yet. I still want to live and do a lot of things...

I thought... This should be the best way for me to get away, but it isn't.

Because no matter where you take me, I will always carry the nightmare that happened in my life with me.

"T-Thank you for s-saving m-me..."

And suddenly, the surroundings darkened.

God is still merciful to me.

When we arrived at their place, I was just staring out the window as we drove down the road.

Even when things get a little creepy around here.

It's too dark and still forested, so this is where they're hiding something tsk.

"Babe, we're on our way-What?! Shit! -What happened?! -Fuck! -W-what-?-DAMN!"

My older brother threw his phone on the dashboard and sped up his speed.

"What's going on, Brother?" I asked.

"I'm not sure! I heard gunshots!"

Shit!

Is something wrong with Sheena?!

Fvck! No!

Are we going to be a mess to save her? Damn!

"Come on, brother!" I yell at him.

He was slammed into the steering wheel.

"I know! This car is fucking slow!"

Pfft.

What was your reason for borrowing Leonardo's car? You're aware of how slow it is!

You know how he always fuck girls inside his car!

Leonardo, you're a jerk!

"How could I have missed that?! Damn! Remember this night, little brat! I will fucking kill that jerk!"

I laughed and nodded at him.

Leonardo, run for your life!

But my smile vanished when I saw someone-No! A woman on the cliff's edge of doing something. Shit! I'm familiar with her.

"Brother, stop the car! I saw her! Sheena! I saw her!"I yelled at him as we went past Sheena.

"Shit!"

My older brother quickly parked the car on the side of the road and braked so hard that I nearly jumped in front of it!

Fvck!

"Sorry, little brat!" My older brother was in a hurry. I followed him outside the car.

As we got closer to Sheena, I almost clung to my brother.

Until we saw her close her eyes as if feeling the breeze, at which point I clung even tighter to my brother's arm.

"Sheena," I whispered.

We were about to approach her when we heard him speak, so my older brother and I stopped.

"Brother," I trembled, but he ignored me, staring at Sheena and clenching his fist.

What's going on?!

Oh, my gosh!

What she was saying made my chest clench, as if she was saying goodbye?

Oh, no! Don't do it!

"This is the final one.."

My eyes widened, and I was about to yell at my older brother when I realized he was already close to Sheena, hugging her and lifting her away from the edge of her intended jump.

I also ran nearer to them.

I was shocked by how she seemed like.

Her dress was ripped. Her skin was covered with wounds and bruises. As well as her filth.

"Damn!" my older brother yelled angrily as he quickly removed his coat and placed it on Sheena.

I just sobbed as well as covered my mouth.

What is happening on through her?!

I saw her reach for my older brother's face and cry.

"T-Thank you for s-saving m-me..."

And then she went unconscious, so I just yelled.

"Come on, Brother! Let's get in the car!"

He immediately picked up Sheena and escorted us to the car.

He properly placed her in the backseat, so I rode in to monitor her.

My older brother jumped on board right away and drove it safely.

I close my eyes and wonder how I'll feel. Fuck. Everyone who harmed Sheena will be punished. We will not allow them to touch Sheena again.
