Felicia's eyes lit up immediately as soon as she heard that there was hope for Severin to assume the job. The way she saw it, Calum's remark about making Severin a war god was probably in jest, but the decision to make Severin the governor was entirely Calum's prerogative.

Although the Shanahans were on the right track in terms of progress, Brookbourn was still a small city and there were thus plenty of restrictions on their development. If Severin became the governor, then the Shanahans could take advantage of their relationship with him and make their mark in a place as huge as South Link City.
