17. Part of Me

I feel alive yet lost, I don't know what this means but I can say that it was something I didn't remember. I caress my belly, a stinging pain my heart was lingering inside, the shallow feeling of heart, broken pieces of memory once a part of me was lost I can't help but wonder what happened and who was the father but Livv said that it's possible I got molested and raped before the auction.

"Mina, we need to hurry," Henry said, I turn my head to him I saw his head peaking on the dear fingers tapping the door frame. I just nodded and grab my bag that's in the bed. I sigh and wear my jacket. 

"Where are we going?" I asked him as we walk side by side, I look at the guards who are now following us, the maids carrying our bags. I raise my head, tilting a little to look at him I pouted when he didn't answer. I just followed him and played with my fingers. 

I stopped walking when Henry suddenly stops, his hand in front of me signaling me to stop walking. I glance at him, he took his cellphone out and sigh when he saw the name on the screen, I can't peak because of his broad back and he's too tall. I just stood there waiting for him to walk again, I saw he put his cellphone on his ear.

"Yes? We're currently walking towards the car right now," He answered. I saw him nod. "Okay, got it," He then ended the call and put his cellphone back in his pocket, his head turn to me and he held my arms gently guiding me. 

"We have to hurry," He said, my brows furrowed, what's the reason? what for? I want to ask him questions but I know that it will only lead to unanswered questions, a long list of unanswered questions. 

"Okay," I just said instead. I walk with him towards our car he then guided me to sit at the back then he sat on the passenger seat. I comfortably sat at the back and lean on the car's seat playing with the ties of my jacket, I look outside the window we're leaving Livv's beach house, I want to stay there but Livv said we can't because it's too open and dangerous. 

I shrug the thought off, I just watch outside as our car started to move, driving away from Livv's beach house. "I'll just take a nap, wake me up when we're there," I said to Henry, I saw him look at the rearview mirror nodding his head. I close my eyes and sigh, I adjusted the seat a little and let myself sleep.

I got woken up by a light tap on my shoulder. I slowly opened my eyes, yawned, and look around my brows furrowed. "Airport?" I asked Henry, he nodded and I saw on the window that Livv was now walking in our direction. He smiled when he saw me looking at him, I smiled back and wave my hand.

I fix my jacket and grab my bag and got out of the car, Livv then kisses my forehead and guided me to walk near the private plane. "Where are we going," I glanced at him he looks down on me and wink. 

"Vacation," He said, I just look at him confuse. Vacation? where? "It's a secret, come on," He must sense my question base on my face so he whispered the answer.

"You'll like it there, I promise," He whispered, I grinned and raise my hand to him showing my thumb as an approved sign, he laughed at my gesture and shook his head. "Still cheerful as ever," He murmured. I just follow him he then guided me to the couch inside the plane and made sure that I was comfortable. 

"Do you need anything? are you hungry?" He asked. I just shake my head and look at the screen in front of me. 

Hmm, amazing technology.

I shake my head again and tap the screen, it opened. I tap again and swipe thru the screen. I saw movies on a folder and app that you can play. I saw Livv sat beside me comfortably and close his eyes. 

"Call them if you need anything, I'll just take a nap," He said, I just nodded my head, turn my head to him, and smiled. After a few seconds of tapping thru the screen, I got bored and decided to just take a nap, I requested a drink before going to sleep.

I take a sip of the bottle of water after I close back the bottle and put it aside before adjusting my seat and closing my eyes. I yawned and let myself drift into sleep.

"I'm sorry, I love you, Mi Amor," Unfamiliar voice of a man, a distorted memory, high pitched voices, and endless ringing in my ear, smashing thru the trees. A car chasing car, gunshots. 

The familiar feeling of fear, being chased by someone, the endless chant of prayers. 

"Mina? Mina!" I got woken up by shaking of my arms, I opened my eyes I am panting and sweating bullets. I gasp for air and look at the man in front of me my brows furrowed. "What happened?" I ask him, his lips parted, he palmed his hair stroking it worried and frustrated. 

"You're having a nightmare," He said, his hand was now back at me. Stroking my arm trying to calm me down. I just look at him, a little bit confuse and disoriented, I leaned back to my seat and played with my hands. 

It was messy and distorted. I glance at Livv, who was looking intently at me his eyes are searching for something in my soul, it was like he was looking through me deep and it was making me question more. "Why?" I ask him, his brows furrowed as he looks at me.

"What why?" He asked back, I shrug my shoulders and sigh, trying to calm my heart. I reach for the bottle of water and opened it, I then gulped the water and pant as I finished. Livv held my hand, making me look at him. 

"You are trembling, what happened in your dreams?" He asks, I just shake my head I am not ready to talk about it. Not yet.

"Nothing, I just want to rest please," I almost whispered, closed my eyes and facing the window. I heard him sigh and answered. "Okay, rest, and I'm sorry," He said, I swallowed hard it suddenly hurts I was feeling a lump in my throat, swallowing a part of me.
