THIRTY SEVEN

We talked about school and mentioned Sydney. He didn't want to tell her and felt sorry for ignoring her at school after finding out she was a he. I told him I knew Sydney was a boy from his sister. Allison told me how much he had spent on himself to look like a real woman. I wasn't quite sure why Liam didn't realize it when they were - anyways, Allison said he had an operation below so that Liam couldn't tell the difference. We sat quietly between our conversations, gave a few smiles and chuckles, and sometimes looked at each other, wondering who would talk first.

Whenever I wasn't looking at him, keeping my head down, I could feel his eyes on me. I quickly looked and found his majestic blue eyes staring at me. I had to look away to hide my face flaring up. It feels weird yet suitable to chat with Liam like this without him acting so cold towards me because of our uneasy relationship, but I wonder what he will think of me once I tell him the truth.

I cleared my throat.

"Hey, what is g
