*Anusha Pov*

"What are you thinking?" he whispered, but I just stared at the ceiling.

"Sha?" he called and I finally turned to stare at him.

"What have we done?" I asked, feeling the effect of what we did finally lodge in the head.

"You are regretting our marriage?" he asked, frowning and moved to look away, but I held his face making him stare at me.

"The way we did it. Maybe we should have waited." I replied, to which he shook his head.

"Your Dad..." he started, but I stopped him, placing a finger on his lips.

"I should have fought against his decision with more determination. But I just pushed the pressure on you and made you take this step." I mumbled and we both fell into silence.

"Maybe we did this without thinking or maybe we did with a lot of thinking. Now, all we have to do is work out marriage and not let it be a mistake, right?" he asked moving his hand to caress my face.

"Right!" I replied with a smile and he smiled back.

We both stayed like that for a few seconds until we heard his alarm. Groaning, he moved to stop it and sat up ruffling his hair while I stared at his moments.

Then he got down from the bed and stretched, but frowned looking at me. I continued to smile, ignoring his frown and he raised his eyebrow.

"What?" he asked and I chuckled sitting up.

"I always imagined what would you do when you wake up and I am glad I finally know." I replied grinning.

"You can see it every day for the rest of our lives." He pointed out smiling.

"If I wake up early because I am not good at such discipline. Today I was not that sleepy with all the thoughts because of which I am awake." I explained getting down from the bed.

"And to top of that, I don't have any job to reach on time too." I added feeling sad to lose my work like that in a blink.

"I am sorry about that." He whispered, walking near to me but I just shrugged.

"I am going today for resigning and will apply for interviews immediately. I don't think I can stay without working." I said sighing.

"How about I drop you at your father's company and wait for you after which we can go out for lunch?" he suggested placing his hands on my shoulder.

"You need not go to work?" I asked him frowning.

"I am thinking of making some changes for that bit, but for now I am not going to the company today. We just got married yesterday, right?" he asked smiling.

"Still, what if your Dad will get angry? We will spend time in the evening and you just go to work. I don't want you to lose your hard work also." I said, moving close to him and hugged him when he stayed silent.

"Talking about anger, can I ask you something?" he asked making me frown but I nodded not understanding why is he hesitant.

"My Mom! She is an amazing lady, okay? She is kind of strict with rules and all but she is great. She could be a little harsh, but can you try to not take it to heart and win her?" he requested and I moved to stare at his face.

"Okay! I am not that good with dealing with the winning over of people, but I will try my best to achieve this." I promised and he immediately hugged me smiling.

"Now, you go and get ready while I arrange my clothes. Did you leave space for me?" I asked, looking at his cupboard.

"Yes! When you demanded like that yesterday, how could I not?" he asked teasing and I blushed but moved slowly not putting pressure on my leg.

"Why don't you sit? I will arrange them." He offered moving towards the cupboard.

"No! It is not paining much." I said, assuring him and he reluctantly walked into the washroom while I started arranging my clothes.

After he walked out, I got into the washroom leaving my saree out. I placed my toiletries properly along with his things and took a quick shower after removing the bandage.

When I stepped out of the washroom, I found him standing in the balcony talking to someone. So, I took my Saree and started draping it carefully.

I did it very few times, but it always takes too long for me to do it properly. I hope I need not wear them from tomorrow though. Why am I wearing it today? I thought, pausing.

"Trying to punish me for yesterday when I asked you to just go to sleep?" his voice broke my thoughts and I glanced at the mirror to see him standing behind me within a touching distance.

"What are you saying?" I asked him frowning.

"This!" he replied, looking at the mirror from up and down and I followed his stare with a frown but end up blushing profusely.

"I was... I was just thinking." I whispered and draped the saree completely before turning around.

He tugged my blushing cheeks with a grin asking, "About what?"

"That why am I even wearing the Saree." I replied and he gave a small laugh.

"I am thinking the same why are you wearing it." When he said the words I so know he doesn't mean what I actually said.

"Satvik!" I whispered, covering my cheeks and he laughed, pulling me in his arms.

"And yesterday you actually gave a disappointed look when I asked you to sleep." He just continued and I felt like I will burst out with this shyness.

"Stop it!" I pleaded with him.

"Why?" he whispered and before he can open his mouth to continue his teasing, I pressed my lips to his stopping his words.

"That's why! You tease me and I will not kiss you again." I replied still pressed to him.

"Convince me more that I can't stay without your kisses." Saying that he held me tightly and this time kissed me back not being in shock.

"We will get late." I mumbled when he trailed his lips and nodded, stepping back after giving me one last kiss.

"About the Saree, I think it is better for today at least. It may sway my Mom." He offered and I nodded smiling.

"Okay! Let's go and conquer them." I said holding his hand and we both walked out of our room.

"Uh-oh!" I whispered, reaching the dining area when I saw everyone completely stressed in their places.

And suddenly I felt this guilt for being a reason for their stress. With that, my thoughts turned to my family. What must be Bhai feeling now? And did they have breakfast?

"Good morning!" I greeted them coming out of my thoughts after taking a seat beside Satvik.

However, no one even glanced at me and I turned to see Satvik looking at his family with a hurt expression. I covered my own and pressed his hand to make him look at me. I smiled at him and he smiled back nodding.

"Mom asked me whether you will prepare the sweet dish." I heard his sister-in-law asking making me turn towards her and give her a small smile.

"Sweet dish?" I asked her and felt worry creep in.

"Yeah! I can show you where is everything." She replied but didn't smile back.

"I... I actually don't know how to cook." I mumbled and it felt like sharing our marriage news again.

I glanced at his Mom to see her holding the spatula with which she was serving breakfast for Uncle tightly and giving a look to Satvik.

"I can learn though." I immediately added thinking I need to stop this situation before it can burst.

No one commented but at least some tension reduced from around us. I glanced at Satvik and he nodded, giving understanding look.

"I am taking leave for a few days." When Satvik launched these words I felt like everyone threw their blaming looks towards me even though they didn't even glance at me.

No one commented and just continued to have their breakfast. After that, both Uncle and Satvik's brother Jatin stood up to leave.

"Did you think how it will be with both of you working for rival companies?" Jatin asked looking at Satvik.

"I am no longer working for my Dad's company." I replied which paused, everyone but they both finally walked out of the room.

"Will you start learning from today?" Manvi Bhabhi asked looking at me.

"Actually, I need to go and resign from my job." I replied to which she frowned.

"You said you are no longer working." She pointed out.

"I am not! This is just the formality and I need to take my needed documents to apply to another company." I explained.

"What?" she asked, frowning more.

"Is there a problem?" I asked, not understanding her reaction.

"What about the work here..." before she can finish, Aunty cleared her throat.

"Let her do as she wishes and leave both of them. It's not like any of the concern about the house will be in their minds." Aunty commented making me frown.

"Mom! Don't say like that." Satvik said, getting up and walked near to her while I stayed still feeling the hostility in her behavior.

"What am I saying? And why are you taking leave so suddenly? You know your Dad is already upset, right?" she asked him frowning.

"I am taking leave because I want to." He replied and I slowly stood up.

"Right!" she mumbled and took the dishes in her hands.

"Well, now if we can be given space to do our work it would be nice. With the extra work from today, we need to hurry up without delaying." Saying that she walked into the kitchen.

"You have hurt her really bad, Satvik. And she is not at all what Mom hoped for you." His Bhabhi commented.

"What about what I hope for?" he asked, looking at her, and walked off leaving the dining area.

I don't know what to do so I calmly stepped aside to leave when she started collecting the plates.

"Now, we have to collect this girl's eaten plate too?" her comment stopped me in my tracks and I turned around to take my plate and Satvik's before entering the kitchen.

I glanced at Aunty who is brushing her tears away, making me feel more guilty and I opened my mouth she just turned around to cut something.

Feeling helpless I placed the plates inside the basin and turned around to reach the washbasin in the dining area to wash my hands before leaving the room.

I continued to walk until I reach the main door and stepped out before taking a deep breath finally able to do it.

"God! Bhai always complains about our dining time and I am sure he will be grateful for it if he experiences this." I mumbled rubbing my arms with all that tension that was present.

"Sorry! I shouldn't have left like that leaving you there." His voice reached me and I turned to see him walking near to me.

"Can we leave?" I asked him feeling to just escape from here and he nodded with a frown.

I sat in silence beside him while he drove towards my Dad's company. I wish I can say something to him, but I don't know what to even say.

"She is just hurt and disturbed by everything that is going in the house." His words broke the silence surrounding us.

"Hmm!" I made the sound not wishing to say anything whatever I am feeling.

I actually don't know her and my reaction to her words would be something different and it could hurt him, right?

"Sha!" he whispered stopping before the gate.

"Today is just the first day. Everyone's reaction for something will be different. At least they didn't throw us out." I pointed out.

"All thanks to you!" he whispered, holding my hand.

"Now, you go to work because I need to talk to my brother also." I said, smiling and leaning to kiss his cheek, I gave him a hug.

"Bye!" I whispered and stepped out of his car before waving at him after which he drove off.

I walked inside, nodding at everyone who greeted me and reached my cabin. I started arranging everything before packing my things.

I took a few minutes to type my resignation letter and even searched for the companies who are hiring at present. Immediately sending my resume and needed forms, I stood up clearing all the history and my files from the system.

Looking around my cabin, I walked out feeling a pinch inside knowing I will never enter here again. Asking the attender to send my things giving him the Satvik's home address, I knocked on my Dad's cabin.

"Dad!" I whispered entering the cabin.

"So, happy with your marriage? They must be very welcoming weren't they?" he asked, not even looking up from the file.

"Dad!" I pleaded wishing he will just accept this.

"No? Well, why would they? Didn't they reject your cousin for their elder son?" he asked smirking.

"What?" I asked him feeling shocked.

"Yes! Do you think I am much into tradition to follow the revenge? I thought of stopping it to have more business opportunities, but that man just humiliated me by throwing the marriage proposal. Now, do you understand why I was asking you to marry Laksh? I know I don't involve myself in your life things and do only this company work, but that doesn't mean I wish to let you get the same humiliation. Now, nothing matters to talk about it, right? You can leave!" giving all the details he again continued to work while I stood there in shock repeating his words.

"Where is Bhai?" I asked, taking a deep breath.

"He must have landed in New York by now." He replied glancing at his watch.

"What?" I asked, feeling hurt that he just left not informing me, but then I don't have any right now, right?

"Leave, Mrs. Anusha Kolgha!" he ordered and I sighed, turning around before leaving his cabin.

When I started walking out of the company my mobile started ringing and I lifted it not looking at the number saying, "Hello?"

"Anu! I just wanted to say that I am in New York right now. Dad threatened me to leave immediately and I had to. Anyway, I heard Dad saying you will never be accepted by Satvik's family. I bought a flat before leaving and I will mail you the details along with the person who has the key. If you want, anytime to leave from there and stay somewhere you can go there. I have a maid who can help you with anything." I stood still hearing his words.

"Bhai!" I whispered, feeling tears rolling down.

"I am still angry at you, but just don't think you are alone." Saying that he paused.

"I will make his family accept me, Bhai. And I will wait for you to not be angry anymore." I mumbled.

"Well, all the best and don't hesitate to call me if you want to. You feed this number, okay." He said and then we hung up when he said he is feeling tired.

The way he talked shows he is still upset but he didn't back out and he will be there if I need him. Now, all I need to do is make Satvik's family accept me and get our life on track. Mostly get the decision we took on the success track. With that thought, I took the cab and reached his... no our home.
