Rafael was surprised when he received a call from his boss about the sudden changes, they were having a dinner outing? Wasn't he the one who said he was going to cook dinner with Jemima as usual since Aileen was sick? What changed? He thought but wasted no time and made some few calls, asking for reservation at any good restaurant available. After a few minutes he was able to get one, the reservation was made late so they got one with so much difficulty. He then went to inform the rest of the people about the dinner plans so they could prepare before the time comes, their boss hates delays. Later on, everybody was already outside, stepping in the hired van that had brought them here from the airport. Alan was the last to come out, his eyes searching around for that one person who always gets into his nerves, but she was not in the van. "Jemima," he called with a frown, Jemima had to get out of the van quickly and came to stand before him "Is there any problem sir?" She asked. Alan
After dinner they all got ready to go back to the house, some still wanted to go and pack their things for tomorrow, they would be leaving tomorrow. While everyone had already gotten into a van and Tiffany in his car, Alan and Rafael were still inside the hotel. Alan had asked for a takeaway of food for someone, when the bag of food came he handed it to Rafael. "You know what to do" he said and started to walk off, "Oh nobody knows better. What I don't understand is why the hell are you doing this?" His boss was quite confusing, he would say one thing and then do a totally different thing. "Just do as you are asked to" he deadpanned and got into the car, Rafael shook his head and got into the car as well before they drive away from the hotel. The ride back home was silence and Alan was glad for it. Suddenly Rafael received a phone call, "Hello" he uttered, placing the food bag down. The person over the phone spoke while he listened patiently "What do you mean by that?" He asked wit
Aileen's POV After sinfully pleasuring myself by the bathroom, my body was exhausted and so was my mind. I decided to go to sleep, I need a sleep to cool down a bit. It wasn't a long time before I heard a knock by the door. Who could it be? Alan? No, no, not him please? Are they back already?. I shut my eyes, nobody would know if I'm not asleep in here so I'm just going to ignore that knock. However it came again with a bit of urgency, damn! I got up dragging my feet to the door. I took a long breath before opening it, my eyes narrowing to see who was standing by the door. Why was she looking like that? Was she crying? But they left all happy like puppies so what happened now?. "Tiffany? What happened to you? Why are you crying?" I asked her, she attacked me with a hug instead and she started to sob.My hands limply fell to my sides. What was I supposed to do in such a situation because I seem to forget. I really felt bad for her, she must've been very hurt for her to cry like this.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Asked Aileen with an attitude. The man just stared at her instead of answering her Aileen sighed, she expected this from him. "Look here Mr Holmes, you and your girlfriend have been giving me so much headache that I'm sure it is going to be hard for me to get a good sleep. Who do you think I am to come and discuss your personal matters with? Your love doc-" She was suddenly pushed aside and the man walked in, he even shut the door behind them and continued to walk further inside, as if he owned the room. Aileen who was caught off guard couldn't believe what just happened "Huh!" She turned and started to follow him, she was enraged. "Hey Mr violence! This my goddamn room you can't just come in as you pleased!" She placed her hands above her hips staring back at him. "I wonder who paid for your stay?" he uttered, resting his free hand in his pocket. So arrogant! "You did, it is still not a good manner to just storm into somebody's room without their
In the morning, Aileen got back to the kitchen. Feeling more better and lighter, even the dizziness has gone away now when she stands. She slept late last night but woke up earlier on purpose. She wanted to prepare breakfast alone without that man being around her, but luck wasn't on her side. Just when she has finished making sandwiches, he came in the kitchen. Looking so handsome as usual, he ran his fingers on messy hair, putting it away from his eyes. "Good morning" he said and wanted to pick one, his hand got slapped away by her. "Don't touch! Your hands are dirty" she said and continued to start the espresso machine so that she could make coffee. "Don't worry, I won't get sick" he said carrying on but he received a deadly glare from her, he stopped on his own this time. "I wasn't worried about you, you will contaminate the food with your dirty hands". The genuineness on her face made him frown, she meant what she said. She was becoming more arrogant than him now. How could she
They reached the place, the driver had suggested a market, where they could buy some cultural stuff of this island if they wanted. They all agreed, Aileen had long pulled her hand away once the man was fully asleep, glad that nobody saw them. Alan acted as if he didn't do anything, as usual once she woke him up. This man and his behavior of doing things and then switch himself off like he wasn't the one doing it was getting on her nerves. They all alighted the van and we're escorted by the driver, looks like he would be their tour guider as well now. The man took them to the market, it wasn't as hectic as they all thought. It was quite as if a public museum, with only few people looking around from one stall to another, so peaceful. They parted ways with every one of them hurrying to stall that has catched their attentions. Aileen and Jemima went to a stall that had accessories, cultured bracelets, necklaces, rings, anklets, waist beads and much more. Made of different things ornaments
They reached back home in the evening and everybody went to rest in their respective rooms. Few of them went out to swim in the evening while she just stood by the balcony watching the sunset. Since that drowning accident she doesn't ever feel like swimming, that was still dancing in her head. She then looked down at the necklace that she has brought today, the stars and the moon. It was beautiful, she smiled while touching it. Her smile faltered when she remembered the one that Alan took. What was heaven trying to do? Or was it just nothing but a coincidence?. She sighed holding the reelings of the balcony, with a sigh she went to sit back and pulled out her phone from her pocket. It was the time she spoke to her family and told them about the trip being canceled. She spoke to them through a video call, her eyes became blurry the moment she sighted her son, squeezed between her mother and her befriend on a couch. She really missed him so much, they spoke a lot and for a while. Leelan
Aileen was awed at his reaction, her eyes faltered for a minute and almost fell for his concerned look, she was having those weird emotions again. However, she quickly recovered from her reverie and pulled away her hand from his grip, "It's nothing, stop overreacting" she said firmly, she held in the pain from the stinging by pressing her lips tightly, her head lowered down. Alan's eyes darkened, he held her hand again and showed it to her face, her wrist already had a red line swelling from the burn. "You call this…. nothing? Are you insane, leeny!" He shouted at her, her body shook, she lifted her head staring at him with her wide eyes. Her heart was pounding on her chest, what surprised her wasn't the shouts he made but the name he used. When was the last time she heard him call her like that? Years ago, and today he thought of using it and shocked her to the core. Why did she like the sound of it? He doesn't even seem to notice what he said himself. Her eyes began to sting, little
