Aileen's POV

After sinfully pleasuring myself by the bathroom, my body was exhausted and so was my mind. I decided to go to sleep, I need a sleep to cool down a bit. It wasn't a long time before I heard a knock by the door. Who could it be? Alan? No, no, not him please? Are they back already?. I shut my eyes, nobody would know if I'm not asleep in here so I'm just going to ignore that knock. However it came again with a bit of urgency, damn! I got up dragging my feet to the door. I took a long breath before opening it, my eyes narrowing to see who was standing by the door. Why was she looking like that? Was she crying? But they left all happy like puppies so what happened now?. "Tiffany? What happened to you? Why are you crying?" I asked her, she attacked me with a hug instead and she started to sob.

My hands limply fell to my sides. What was I supposed to do in such a situation because I seem to forget. I really felt bad for her, she must've been very hurt for her to cry like this.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Asked Aileen with an attitude. The man just stared at her instead of answering her Aileen sighed, she expected this from him. "Look here Mr Holmes, you and your girlfriend have been giving me so much headache that I'm sure it is going to be hard for me to get a good sleep. Who do you think I am to come and discuss your personal matters with? Your love doc-" She was suddenly pushed aside and the man walked in, he even shut the door behind them and continued to walk further inside, as if he owned the room. This my goddamn room you can't just come in as you pleased!" She placed her hands above her hips staring back at him. In the morning, Aileen got back to the kitchen. Feeling more better and lighter, even the dizziness has gone away now when she stands. She slept late last night but woke up earlier on purpose. She wanted to prepare breakfast alone without that man being around her, but luck wasn't on her side. Just when she has finished making sandwiches, he came in the kitchen. Looking so handsome as usual, he ran his fingers on messy hair, putting it away from his eyes. "Good morning" he said and wanted to pick one, his hand got slapped away by her. "Don't touch! Your hands are dirty" she said and continued to start the espresso machine so that she could make coffee. "Don't worry, I won't get sick" he said carrying on but he received a deadly glare from her, he stopped on his own this time. "I wasn't worried about you, you will contaminate the food with your dirty hands". The genuineness on her face made him frown, she meant what she said. She was becoming more arrogant than him now. How could she

They reached the place, the driver had suggested a market, where they could buy some cultural stuff of this island if they wanted. They all agreed, Aileen had long pulled her hand away once the man was fully asleep, glad that nobody saw them. Alan acted as if he didn't do anything, as usual once she woke him up. This man and his behavior of doing things and then switch himself off like he wasn't the one doing it was getting on her nerves. They all alighted the van and we're escorted by the driver, looks like he would be their tour guider as well now. The man took them to the market, it wasn't as hectic as they all thought. It was quite as if a public museum, with only few people looking around from one stall to another, so peaceful. They parted ways with every one of them hurrying to stall that has catched their attentions. Aileen and Jemima went to a stall that had accessories, cultured bracelets, necklaces, rings, anklets, waist beads and much more. Made of different things ornaments

They reached back home in the evening and everybody went to rest in their respective rooms. Few of them went out to swim in the evening while she just stood by the balcony watching the sunset. Since that drowning accident she doesn't ever feel like swimming, that was still dancing in her head. She then looked down at the necklace that she has brought today, the stars and the moon. It was beautiful, she smiled while touching it. Her smile faltered when she remembered the one that Alan took. What was heaven trying to do? Or was it just nothing but a coincidence?. She sighed holding the reelings of the balcony, with a sigh she went to sit back and pulled out her phone from her pocket. It was the time she spoke to her family and told them about the trip being canceled. She spoke to them through a video call, her eyes became blurry the moment she sighted her son, squeezed between her mother and her befriend on a couch. She really missed him so much, they spoke a lot and for a while. Leelan

Aileen was awed at his reaction, her eyes faltered for a minute and almost fell for his concerned look, she was having those weird emotions again. However, she quickly recovered from her reverie and pulled away her hand from his grip, "It's nothing, stop overreacting" she said firmly, she held in the pain from the stinging by pressing her lips tightly, her head lowered down. Alan's eyes darkened, he held her hand again and showed it to her face, her wrist already had a red line swelling from the burn. "You call this…. nothing? Are you insane, leeny!" He shouted at her, her body shook, she lifted her head staring at him with her wide eyes. Her heart was pounding on her chest, what surprised her wasn't the shouts he made but the name he used. When was the last time she heard him call her like that? Years ago, and today he thought of using it and shocked her to the core. Why did she like the sound of it? He doesn't even seem to notice what he said himself. Her eyes began to sting, little

She was falling backwards, but before her body could touch the floor a strong arm circled around her waist, she was flipped over the next second only to land down along with him, she was on top of him. The fall was quite harsh earning a groan from the man, he frowned deeply feeling his back aching. Alan had only wanted to help her out but ended up slipping on the floor as well and fell along with her. A moment of silence passed, then slowly Aileen lifted her face which was buried in his chest, her panicking eyes peeked at him. She blinked when she found him looking at her as well, "I'm sorry, are you okay sir?" Her voice had so much concern for him that for a moment he was reminded of their past, in such situations. He shut his eyes and let out a deep breath, deep down he was grateful that she wasn't hurt. Why did he feel that way? He really hates how he feels sometimes because he gets confused with himself. He opened his eyes again and she was still looking at him with the same emot

Everybody joined the table for dinner except for Aileen, Alan's eyes searched around for her but she wasn't around. He knew why she was acting this way, she was avoiding him and he also thinks that was for the best. The more she stays away from him the more his mind would stay in control. After dinner, everyone returned to their rooms, resting early was the best option for now since they are living tomorrow morning. Alan stared at her door when he was on his way to his room, he told himself not to mind if she had eaten or not, she wasn't a child and he was going to mind his own business. Tiffany jumped on him the moment they entered their room, kissing his neck up to his jaws. "I missed you, my love" with a sigh Alan got her off him, the hurt in her eyes was evident but he wasn't in the right state of mind to do any of this. She started to bite her own tongue, not able to show her how shameless she was by going straight to the point. Tiffany scoffed, she knows people like her. People like Lily would never do something without any other motives under their sleeves. She was a greedy mediocre but that was the least of her problems for now, she only needed her to say the name, she was ready to give her anything. She picked the boy and took her to Aileen’s house already, left with no choice Alan gave her a ride there. They found her very engrossed in a conversation with Sharon that it left them wondering what they were talking about by the convenient store. Alan stopped the car and made a honk to call for them. Not too shocked they both got in his car, heading to the house. The little boy was happy to see his parents again. “I want you to inform me next time if you are planning to take my son anywhere, Rue. People are messy out there, you can't keep us worried all the time” complained Alan after seeing off the family. “Shut it already, he is my nephew. Stop overreacting, dad!” she brushed him off. “I fucking mean it Rue. And what the hell were you talking to Sharon about? You know that I don't trust you, d

He should just sit back and let them take care of his future now because he seemed too confused to even date someone like Tiffany. “Not even you Rue, please! He is my son, don't you understand? Do you people know how much danger you have gotten my son and his mother into? Do you know how many enemies I've made out there?” He was very angry that he wasn't informed about the matter that concerned his own son's life. He should've been informed about it, he would've made preparations about it. There was media to deal with, there were the board members to inform and secure the formalities about their relationship to them and there is a damn society who are always ready to pick and judge things even without knowing anything about it. “Here, he sent me this text this evening. Read it” he lost the phone to her parents and then they passed it over to Neil and Kylie. “Oh my god, that poor boy,” said their mother. “Right. How could I respond when my six years old nephew asks me such a question? I was speechless and didn't even know how to explain things to that smart little guy. Thus why this meeting is important” explained Rue.“He literally asked why his parents aren't living together like the rest of the children at school. He probably talked to classmates about their families and was very disturbed to realize that his parents are the only ones who aren't living together. This isn't good for his poor little mind” she added. “He is just a young boy who deserves more than to be raised by both of them.” she promised to get to the bottom of this, it really disturbed her when the boy told her about it.“So what do you suggest we do?” Asked Neil. “There is only one way, we have to get them back together so that they can

Leelan was happy to have his daddy over, they played a little before taking him to sleep, the two of them did. When he came out he spotted Sharon with two cups of coffee “Here, it's been a while, have a seat” she said. Aileen was still tucking her son well and making sure he didn't wake up because he couldn't feel her warmth. Alan sat down, gripping the cup, not even knowing how to look at her. “How is everything? I am sorry for your loss” He asked. “Thank you, things are going well. How is your family doing?” Sharon noticed how uncomfortable the man was. “They are doing well, they send their condolences actually” he answered. Sharon got up “Come here” she said. Alan was dumbfounded but he too stood up. Sharon hugged him, “I am sorry for everything that has happened to you my dear,” awestruck by what just happened, the man stood still, letting the woman embrace him. His eyebrows knitted together, it took all in him not to shatter right there and cry like a baby. He never knew that th

In the evening they had to leave and head back to Alan's house. They talked about it and thought of spending two nights at his house every week, starting with this week. Aileen had no argument for this since she would be going along with her son or else she would be going crazy with uneasiness of being far from her son, even for two nights. Leelan received a lot of gifts when she left his grandparent's house, Aileen wondered when did they get the time to prepare for everything. What gave her a headache was where were they going to keep all of those gifts at. They all tried but I treated them badly that day, and to think that it wasn't even his fault to begin with made it even more hard for me. That was the biggest error I have ever made in my life, my life took a big turn since that accident and it was all for some lies, deceit!. “God, please forgive me” I sighed, rubbing my chest. Alan must have noticed my troubled face, he held my shoulder “Nervous?” He asked. I let out rashly “No!
