Ivy's POV

Immediately Ron and I finished doing all the legal paperwork that had to be done at the mortuary, it was already so dark outside but I still wanted to go see the pack at that very minute and it was just because I was hoping to would into Alpha Jax and have a little, peaceful talk with him it maybe not. I had fixed my parents burial for the next day as I didn't want to delay their final rites any further and Ron had tried to give me a piece of his mind but I shut him up by telling him that the people at the force needed to realize that he is my Father before he is the sheriff of the town and if they had a problem with it then they should take up with me. We got out of the mortuary and immediately I stepped out, I took a deep breath in because the air in there smelt of dead bodies and it was not a nice smell at all. I walk to the car and entered while Ron went to the driver side and did the same,

"So where are you going to sleep this night? You can stay over at me and Christy's until your home is stripped off of the investigation tag"

To be honest, I was tempted to say yes to his offer because I've been to his and Christy's, his wife for a sleepover a couple of times and their home was a very comfortable one, maybe because they had no kids and it was just them.

"Thanks for your offer Ron but you know I already told you that I'll be going to see my pack so that's were I'll sleep tonight" I say with determination although my body was telling me to succumb to it's tiredness and get some rest but I knew I had to do this this night

"You still want to go see your pack? It's a little too late, don't you think?" Ron asked with a head shake

"I know but I have to go see them this instant, don't worry I'll be fine" I smiled at him

"So you going to drive me or what?" I make an attempt at a joke and Ron started the car while shaking his head

"You are just very stubborn and I have no idea how you turned out to be so, considering David and Rose were very peaceful people "

"Well that's because the great goddess saw that they were too good for their own good and sent me as a protector" I let out a small laugh

"Although I failed terribly in protecting them" I added after a pause

"Oh Ivy, stop it. None of these is your fault alright?"

He stretches and takes my hand in his and I just keep quiet and don't reply.

We drive in silence until we get to the front of the pack house

"Here we are, make sure you're safe in there Ivy " Ron tells me for the thousandth time and I could not help but roll my eyes at him

"It's my pack house, nothing can possibly happen to me here. I'll be fine okay? Thank you so much Ron, I owe you one"

Ron just shook his head at me "Alright kiddo, see you soon"

"Sure" I said and get down from the car and entered the pack house which was so quiet that it didn't sit right with me but I continued walking around in hopes of finding someone especially one person in particular.

Jax's POV.

I was about to go have my bath when my phone rang and it turned out to be one of my business partners. It was odd calling anyone at this time if the night but in my line of work where everyone was doing something dangerous, like killing enemies, which is mostly a case of friend turned foe, they are calculating the money, they lost or won so it was very much normal to get calls in the middle of the night.

I answer the call and step out of my room to go answer the call in privacy and get some fresh air too.

"Hello Raymond, what is the new occurrence " I asked the person at the other end of the line. I did not like to waste time exchanging pleasanteries because we were just business partners and not friends.

"I'll have the package delivered to you before the end of tomorrow " he tells me

"Perfect, make sure it gets here by then or else" I threaten him. I loved being in control of everything and everyone and when I am not obeyed, I give them a reason to wish that the had obeyed my commands instead of rebelling against me.

"Of course. Who am I to keep the Devil Alpha waiting? Thank you for doing business with me, I really..." I cut the call off without letting him finish his sentence because I just saw Ivy walk past were I was standing but it seemed as though she did not see me so I went in search of her. I wondered what she was doing here by these time of the night when she was supposed to be mourning the death of her parents, who I killed myself. I find her in the kitchen drinking a glass of water.

"Fancy seeing you here at this time of the night" I said as I pretended I was in the kitchen for some water and not because I was looking for her. She turned to face me as if she was expecting me and when she just kept looking at me without saying anything, I start wondering what is going on in her head and I was about to ask her that when she beat me to it

"What have you benefitted from killing my parents? Happiness? You just wanted to feed your Ego? Please enlighten me, I'm curious to know" she said to me with folded arms and I could not help but notice how beautiful she looked when she was upset. I chuckled as I walked to stand in front of her,

"What? Missing mummy and daddy already? Come on now, you're no longer a child so you should not be missing them that much besides if you need anyone to talk to, I'm right here for you" I said as I place my hands on her shoulders and manage to give it a squeeze before you shrugged it off and pushes me away from her

"You pathetic son of a bitch, don't you dare touch me you bastard" she said quite calmly but I could still see the imaginary steam coming out from her head and I burst into laughter

"You have to learn how to take a joke and stop taking life too seriously. Look why don't we start afresh you know because we met in a wrong way and I want to see where this thing between us goes" I tell her with a smirk

She stared at me like I just fell from the sky before shaking her head at me

"You are so unbelievable and just so you know and get it into your thick skull, there is nothing between us and assuming that after killing my parents in cold blood is quite a stretch and I don't know if you think this is some kind of joke but just know that I will get back at you, sooner or later and you Alpha Jax or whatever you are called Will regret the day you met me and decided to play these sick games with me" She stated and turned to walk out and I asked

"You dare threaten the Devil Alpha Jax, do you know who I am? "

"To hell with who you think you are and no it's not a threat, it's a promise " she said as she walked out the kitchen leaving me there.

She had a lot of nerve to talk to me in that manner and that was the reason why I liked her but she had to know the difference between being brave and being foolish. I drop the glass I was holding with a bang and walk back to my room.

Ivy's POV

I left the kitchen very upset at the audacity that Alpha Jax had. How could he say such thing after killing my parents? The thing was I knew I was going to get my revenge. How? I did not know but I was definitely going to find a way to put that wicked man in his place and make him pay for all he had done.

I walked to my room and started packing up all my stuff. The truth of the matter was that once I was gone, I was never going to come back to this place because first of all I actually hated this pack found all it's members annoying and second of all now that my father was gone, I had a lot of responsibilities to carry on so there was no time to be here joking around in the name of training.

After I was done packing all my things, it was already dawn and I decided that there was no point in sleeping so I found a book and sat in my desk for the last time and read but minutes into my reading, tears just started rolling out of my eyes and I started weeping  because I realized and the reality of my situation hit me squarely in the face that I was now alone and I was going to do this life thing all by myself without my mum and dad's guidance and love anymore. I slept a little after crying and when the day became brighter, I woke up and had my bath in my pack bathroom, which I was really not going to miss at all for the last time then I headed out to go find chief and tell him about my break. I didn't even think it was that necessary to tell him the reason why I was going on a break but I was going to do it just because.

I find him standing outside the training ground,

"Good morning Chief" I greet him and he looks at me and nods his head

"Good morning Ivy, I did not know you came back yesterday after running out like that" he said in a condescending tone

"I had a emergency " I matched his tone back and I continued before he could say anything

"I have an emergency and I won't be back for awhile" I break the news to him

"What sort of emergency us that? You can't just decide when to go and when to stay in this pack, if..."

"My parents died yesterday and that's the reason for my emergency break " I cut him off

"And I'm just telling you before I go so it would not look like I ran away although I would very much have liked it if that was the case" I add so he knows that I don't actually hold him at high regards

"I would take my leave now" I finish off and walk out on him, leaving him speechless.

Ivy's POVIt was early in the morning and I was already awake and getting ready to go to the office with Ron. I picked out an outfit I thought was suitable for the first day at work and it was a trouser suit. I came down to the living room and sat down waiting for Ron to come down so we can head out. I was nervous because I sort of already knew how majority of the people at the office will receive me and I dreaded it but I was prepared for whatever happened. I hear some footsteps coming down the stairs and I look up to see Ron fixing his tie"Good morning Ron" I greet him as I stood up from the couch I was sitting on and he looked startled to see me there"Good morning Ivy, I had no idea you were already dressed and down here. Ivy's POVMy life nowadays has been home to office, office to home and in all honesty I was not complaining because I loved being sheriff. I had moved out if Christy and Ron's house and returned to my home and I was loving living alone. I had solved multiple problems and cases and although my way was technically not how most of the sergeants I've worked with thought the problem could be solved I proved to them time and time again that I knew what I was doing. A bunch of cases we solved were popular so they made it to the news and I had to be interviewed for some of them and just like that I was living my dreams. It was a Monday morning and I was feeling sluggish so I got to the office later than it was usual for me and I meet a pile of paperwork on my table that needed my signature on them and I try to put it off by doing any other thing than it but toward noon I start to find my energy back and I really get to start doing the work. Alpha Jax's POV"What do you mean by that? How can you tell me that a mere human girl did this to you" I thundered while looking at their battered faces.I was looking at their faces and it looked like they had had a fight with a big giant wolf and not the tiny Ivy I had sent them to scare. Their story did not make any sense to me and I was sure that it was impossible but they all insisted that that was what had happened.Did she have some powers that I knew nothing about? Or was she some kind of wolf that had human tendencies? I knew I was pushing it but in all honesty there was no reasonable reason as to how Ivy was able to beat up three heavily bodied men and give them so much injuries that it was hard to recognize them."Are you sure it was only her that did this to you?" I asked them again even though I knew their answer was not going to change."Boss she single handedly did this to all of us, we were fighting back but once we realized that she had an unexplainable amount of stre

Alpha Jax's POVI just finished reading the report that Snake gave to me about the job I allocated to him which was to track Ivy. It said that Ivy had thrown away the parcel I sent to her and I was angry that she would throw away my gift again but it also said that she had also cried that day and I was happy because I knew that she was crying because of my torture and I was happy about it. I wondered when she will come to the realization that the only way to stop her pain was for her to accept me but I can wait until she accepts me. I would continue to torture her and manipulate her until she accept me as hers. Snake said that he had seen her going into the library and that she was desperately looking for something. I didn't know what it was she was looking for but I could very well connect the dots that whatever she was looking for was related to why and how she got the strength that she had. I was really bothered about the strength that she had and I wanted to get the root of the

What impressed me the most was the way they respected each other's differing opinions, always finding common ground for the betterment of the town. One particular day, as we all gathered at the town hall to discuss an upcoming decision, Luna and Felix found themselves on opposite sides of the debate. Despite their disagreement, they maintained a respectful and calm demeanor, allowing everyone to express their views. In the end, they compromised, incorporating ideas from both sides.
